Well, I said I would buy this again-- and I WOULD-- if Stila would start making it again! How could they discontinue my BEST crease color ever??? I've had this e/s for many years, and I have never found another from any line exactly like it. It's the perfect, pink-neutral-plum eyeshadow for my skintone (MAC NW20) and eyecolor (hazel-green). I like to pair this with a light pink on the lids (any light to midtone pink) and Urchin in the crease. It is gorgeous for daytime-- or anytime! When my pan is gone, I don't know what I'm gonna do without my beloved Urchin.... {sniff} :,-(

Urchanistas UNITE! Some of us became hooked on this unique brown-with-subtle-reddish-plum cast to it. Oh I know it was discontinued years ago but we loyalists fight the good fight - buying antique Urchin pans on eBay to keep the tradition alive! I have mighty odd coloring in my face and it took a long time for me to notice that THIS color is neutral on me. I am fair (MAC 15) with cool yellow skin (probably blue undertones but who knows). Urchin looks like a brown that makes my blue greenish-yellowish-greyish eyes ignite and glow. I use it in the crease. I have fortified my train case with reserves - I and other Urchanistas will fight to the last pan, we will never give up.

The color looks very boring in person but I find myself reaching for it often. It's a matte brown shade with a hint of plum. It works wonderfully with a ton of different color combinations. I especially think it makes the most beautiful, natural crease shade if you're going for an understated, natural eye. Love!

I miss this product, cannot believe its dicontinued. Its like no other shade I've ever come across, not at a MAC or anywhere!

I've tried to find a replacement to no avail!

Its the most wonderful matte brown/plum...it was my staple for a number of years worn under Stila Cloud! It would add great depth and was sutible for everyday wear. I normally hate purples, but this only toes the line of purple because its also a brown.

I miss this shade!

Stila don't do many matte shadows, and I find some of their shades can be a little shimmery for daytime use. I thought Urchin would be a great staple as it's matte and is a neutral shade but with a bit more interest to it than boring old browns. In saying that, I think this shade almost needs a touch of shimmer to it to give it a bit more 'oomph'.

Urchin is a matte, dusty rose shade that works well as a base color. It looks good with dark eyeliner, but I found that when used solo it's pretty boring. I've barely used mine because it's not very versatile.

This is a wonderful daily shade - a medium warm brick brown with a shot of plum. This shade may look downright berry on a pale or cool skintone, but on my medium/olive tone, this is a true brown. I love the finish of matte shadows but most matte shades have formulas which make them difficult to blend. Stila's matte formula is smooth and blendable, which is a wonderful change. I love wearing this as a no-nonsense eyeliner without any additional shadow, or as a base color over the entire lid. This is a very nice basic shadow which should have a place in the arsenal of warm-toned brown eyeshadow lovers.

Very pretty plummy-brown shade, like others have mentioned. Goes on nice and smooth and is nicely pigmented. A very wearable, everyday shade. Would probably repurchase.

I guess this is not the most popular color, but I use it all the time... I like to pair it with eden (on lid) - I put it just on the outside crease and corners.

This shade has become a staple for me as an everyday/work e/s shade. On my yellow based PPP complexion, Urchin is a muted brown with a pink-plum tone to to. For day, I wear Urchin in the crease (no liner)with either Heather or Nude as my base. Shade also makes a lovely liner applied wet or if I want a smokey, dramatic eye, Urchin looks great worn in the crease with the now discontinued Mood or Java used as a liner. Although I am a *huge* fan of Stila's shimmery shades (Casia, Kitten, Heather to name a few), Urchin won me over (and I rarely purchase and wear matte e/s). A must for green eyes!

Urchin is a matte plum, dark red/ brown shade and although it goes on nicely, with my fair skin I just can't seem to find any use for it other than in the crease. I'm not much for matte e/s anyway, so maybe I'm just biased! :)

This didn't work for my sister (who is paler than me) but on me it is a very natural plum-lavender-brown matte shade that blends very easily and isn't too dark or too light on me. i have light-medium asian skin. Is a good accompaniment/similar to the color of Nars Sin blush.

I'm not loving this one, because I can't seem to make it work. When I purchased it, it was to go along with Kitten. The Stila artist used it on me, and it looked really pretty, sort of a light matte brown. Nice contrast with the shimmery champagne color of Kitten. Okay, fine.

Well, I haven't been able to make this work since. Now that it's home in my palette, it shows up as a flat brick red on me. As a liner, I look as if I have pinkeye, and it just doesn't go with my blue eyes and fair complexion as an all over or crease color. So, this one is only getting a two, and only because Stila's eyeshadows are generally so wonderful.

I don't often wear matte shadows, but I couldn't pass this up. It's lovely in the crease or as a eyeliner. This is beautiful basic e/s from Stila.

Great medium-toned, matte, brownish plum color that goes well with several of my plummy lip colors and blushes. Also contrasts nicely with my green eyes. Stila has some of the best shadows out there.

Urchin is a matte berry color with brown undertones. The only use I can find for Urchin is as a crease color. Looks great with Guava or Shell.
