What a huge disappointment! The cream beige shade is officially THE worst beige shadow I have ever tried (and believe me, I've tried many). It is of such poor quality that I can't help but wonder how it ever left a Guerlain cosmetics laboratory. The beige shade is so grainy you can't get any of it to adhere onto your lid, and the little that you maybe do is soon nothing but a memory. The color payoff is zero and the texture is something you could expect out of a 2-dollar drugstore brand.

The darkest brown shade is rather grainy as well, and most of it will end up on your cheeks. The light pink and light brown colors, on the other hand, are quite do-able. Their texture and finish is totally different from that of the beige and the dark brown. They apply sheer, but are perfect for a nude makeup. Their feel is silky and smooth, without any glow or shimmer, but they aren't totally matte either. Unfortunately they're not enough to save this palette from being dud.

Thank goodness Guerlain ditched these quads for the new ones, which have far better quality.

I don't always use an eyeshadow base and like shadows that can be used easily without base..This quad does not live up to that expectation sadly..Without base this quad is complete crap,Sheer and chalky with non exsistent color. though there is one color in this quad that made me like it enough to give the quad a 2 lippie rating.....But for the $$ that's unacceptable to me..With base it's not that much better and my L'Oreal shadows would put this to shame..The colors have potential to be so pretty though.. really shocked Guerlain would put out a product like this.

I REALLY wanted to love this. Bought it unseen from Sephora.com, and was thrilled with the gorgeous packaging and beautiful colors. I have been very impressed with my other Guerlain products, and expected to be just as WOWed by this. Unfortunately, I wasn't!! First time I applied it, it got all streaky and my eyes appeared dark. I thought maybe it was just because my e/s brushes were dirty (even though I had never had an effect that bad when using dirty brushes), so I cleaned them and tried again the next day. Same effect, my eyes looked like dark dirty holes. I have tried again and again since then to get a good effect from it, but alas, I haven't been able to. I am a PPP and have never experienced this from any e/s. I've tried it using primer, I've tried it with other shadows, I've tried it alone. Like a previous reviewer wrote, it seems this e/s palette is Wet n' Wild in better packaging. Actually, the best, most beautiful and sturdy packaging I have ever seen. Gave it an extra lippie for that, but it's not worth 55USD. Will be sending it back today.

My go to e/s pallette. a little more pink than chanel variations and may be better quality and better texture as well.every color is wearable and beautiful. also has the most perfect satin finish pink shadow in the universe in this quad

Sorry, ladies, but I must disagree. I was quite disappointed with this shadow quartet. The quality was poor. I was expecting superb texture and blending,
along with plenty of pigment so that the colors would stay true. Instead, this reminded me of L'Oreal shadow, which is to say the colors look pretty in the compact, but they are washed-out and pale on application. Considering the price tag, the shadow quality should be much better. The only thing Guerlain did right was the compact design. The "hammered gold" compact is lovely and just what the high-end luxury cosmetic customer wants. Too bad the contents don't match the plastic!

I'm In love with this palette, I have over 200 e/s including popular high end ones like chanel, shu, nars, BB, stila, cargo and almost all the MAC line, but since a week ago I can't seem to use another e/s, you can do evry combination and all of them look lovely and elegant, and you can use almost any color of eyeliner or combine it eiother with subtle or bold lips, and you'll always look great.

My first eye shadow palete. I hardly wear eyeshadows cos they never come out true to their color in the pan on me. But this one does. Oh Goody. Its still rather premature to be rating this since I have used it a maximum of just 3 times since I got it. I started lemming for the green and the blue as soon as I got these. But they didn't look that good when I tried them at the counter. I had to have one more of these so I went out and bought Touche de Nacre one week later. Plus I love those hammered gold containers - spells luxury. No cheap MAC plastics. No teenage Shu U plastics. Plus its not metalic so I don't forsee it rusting or fading.

These are amongst the nicest and easiest colors to wear either alone or combined. Except for the darkest liner shade, the colors are perfect for daytime.

A gorgeous quad that consists of a shimmery beige, matte dusty rose, matte cocoa brown and a shimmery deep brown. Colors last a long time. I love the hammered gold case. But for almost $50, I wouldn't expect any less.

Beige is a bit of a misnomer for this quad. It actually consists of pinks , beiges, and browns. Ranging from lightest to darkest the shades are:
a pinked champagne shimmer
a soft rose in a texture that is almost matte but has enough of a opalescent shimmer to give it more dimension
a warm medium brown in the same texture as the rose shade
a chocolate brown with gold and pink shimmer
This quad is incredibly versatile in the number of looks it can produce, from subltly elegant to sultry and smokey. The shadows are some of the silkiest I have ever used and all go on true to the colour in the pan. My only quibble is with the packaging which I find clunky and gaudy.
