Let me start off by saying that I DO have long and full looking eyelashes, so pretty much anything I put on will look good on them. Now, the thing that really got me with this mascara (and that I find amazing about it) is the fact that no matter how many coats you apply it will not clump at all!! To me that just made all the difference, I've been using it every single day for about 5 months now, and I honestly love it ♥ It gives my lashes a very natural beautiful look with zero clumps. I have and I will continue repurchasing.

Pros:
- No Clumping
- No Smudging
- Gives Volume
Cons:
- No Length
- No Curls, even if you use eyelash curler, the curls dont last
- Dries slowly
Overall:
Bourjois products are usually a hit and miss with me. This product for example was nothing special. I hate the fact it dries soo slowly, and everytime when I apply mascara I always feel the need to sneeze and its always been the case with me.
Would I buy it again? Nope

This is a good daytime mascara as it never clumps or flakes on me. It has a subtle effect but tends to disappear by the end of the day.
I got this really cheap but I wouldn't pay the full RRP for this.

I bought this in Bleu Manolo. I am disappointed. I will not purchase anymore Bourjois Paris as I had their disco clubbing blue and it was awful. The only good thing about Bleu Manolo is the pretty coke bottle looking container it comes in. The mascara does not lengthen, thicken or even show up that blue. Someone has to be "thisclose" to your face to even notice you have mascara on let alone notice the blue. A waste of money!

This mascara promises to lengthen and curve your lashes. For me - it has some lengthening effect, but I can't see any curving effect on my already-long-yet-very-straight lashes. Separates the lashes nicely. A nice look for everyday, but as I am still looking for a mascara that actually curves, I won't repurchase.

At the moment, I am far from having found a mascara that I really like. Anyway, I tried a lot of mascaras and this was the one which gave me more curl. Not much volume or lengthening, though, unless I put 3 layers. Can clump a bit, not terrible but not perfect either.
I like it, but still need the hot curler afterwards.

good little fibres which add length. but like a lot of other reviewers, not too bad, but not good enough to make me run out and buy again. brush is too long and doesnt make it any easier to apply.

Not bad. but...wont buy it again. Hate the brush, its a long spoolie style. this makes it difficult to realy coat your lashes. pretty good for getting lashes at your outer corners. Really nothing to rant OR rave about. Pass on this mascara.

Not bad. Not great.
Excellent colour in the tube - true brown with slight bronze glints. Just looks brown on the lashes, especially once one has applied enough for it to show (pale lashes).
Reasonable formula - didn't clump, run, smudge, irritate eyes, etc. Lashes were somewhat defined (as they are with nearly any mascara), but nothing dramatic. But dry and stiff (compared to Maybelline Full & Soft or Clinique Naturally Glossy/Long Pretty).
Bad brush: too big - too long and too thick; bristles too short and sparse. Result: one can't get right down to the lash roots (I do obsess about this, but feel entitled to do so as I am a redhead) or catch all the little corner lashes.
I may keep this, and try using it with another brush - a good old one, cleaned up etc. - in case the dryness is down to brush rather than formula. If it's the formula, Talons is out! But I'm giving it a second chance, as this is such a good colour, and there are so few good browns out there at normal human prices.
UPDATE: it's in the bin. I tried this out with a Glossy brush (cleaned etc. etc.), and achieved a similar mediocre and dry result to previous efforts with the Talons' own brush. I'll be sticking to the Glossy.
Other notes: Bourjois are cruelty-free + the mascaras are not perfumed.

Since I'm a sucker for a TRUE brown mascara, I saw this and immediately picked it up. The label says lengthening and curving mascara. It did neither! The only good thing about it was the color, it is a TRUE brown.

This mascara does exactly what it claims, lengthens and curls.
After apply one coat, it made a noticeable difference to my lashes. There was no clumping. This product doesn't any thickness making it ideal for a light application on lower lashes. It produces a natural-yet-better appearance.
This is my new favourite daytime mascara. For night, I prefer something a bit more dramatic with more volume. This product does require makeup remover to take off, cleanser is not enough, otherwise you will be left with panda eyes.
Edited: in the end, I found this mascara too hard to remove properly. I'd remove at night using remover and a cleanser. However, after cleansing in the morning, I'd find new smurges under my lower lashes. It was too much effort for a product I use everyday so it got given the flick.

I truly love this mascara. It seperates my lashes, which a lot of other mascaras cannot do. It also lengthens them. I do wish that it was more black in color, but since it does everything I ask for in a mascara, this, for now, is my HG mascara.

The black is really utterly deeply black which I love. It is great for lengthening, but it doesn't thicken a whole heck of a lot and it also tends to clump a tiny bit which is easily fixed by wiping the brush clean every 3rd or 4th time. I always reach for this mascara because I have naturally long lashes and this defines them and makes them look amazing. I do get racoon eyes when I try to wash it off, it's hard to get it all off without an eye makeup remover (I just use my cleanser in the shower).

I got this as it was on sale - 20% off & i needed a mascara. I HATED it the first few times i used it. It came out in big blobs. But once i realised the trick is to clean off the brush a bit with a tissue (which may seem wasteful) and then use. I got the black one - its a real inky black & it gives length and curve - Not really volume, but im not looking for that. The brush is well shaped for getting all your lashes. The bottle is pretty too. It has a tendency to smudge a little but i dont mind as i hate too 'done' make-up. It isnt very smudgy though - i wear it sometimes when on my motorbike & i dont take off my helmet & have huge panda eyes! I like it and i am on my third tube. Try it if you want long lashes!(they have some pretty colours)

I like this, but don't love it. I bought it becasue I knew it had OK reviews and was looking for a nice sapphire colored mascara. I found it at Ulta and got further convinced by an SA; I liked how the brush looked, and the color was lovely. It's supposed to be lengthening and basically delivers-- I have nice dramatically long and curled lashes (without a curler and my lashes are straight) but it took A LOT of effort--many dips, a lot of "playing," and I definitely would need a comb (don't own one) for optimal use. It's a bit clumpy and I wish the tube was designed to take off more product-- there is a lot of waste because a lot of mascara trails off onto the tip of the wand when you remove it from the tube. I feel like it's a more natural look because of the color-- it's a medium color blue, and so I'm not getting drama from a darker color and this does not add any volume at all, just length. I am going to play with mixing and maybe using a black first; I did put a little black on the tips after it dried and that added a bit of "oomph." I am on the fence on whether I'd buy it again but as I said the only reason I bought it was for the color- I've got a couple of HG mascaras already but they only come in black and brown. It was $14, which is reasonable, but I am all about cheap mascara so it's a lot for me (I love Rimmel Lycra Extend best right now as far as drugstore, and am enjoying two sample tubes of Chanel Inimitable).

I really liked this mascara. It didn't clump or flake at all and those are two things that I look for in a mascara. It also had a dark black color and lengthened quite well.I applied this over my Prescriptives LAsh Envy volumizing mascara with great results.I haven't found everything in one mascars but this combo was perfect .

I was a little reluctant to try this mascara after having so-so luck with another one by Bourjois, but this is pretty good for a basic mascara. It lends each of my lashes a nice inky tint that I swear is a little darker than most others, and it thickens a bit. It seems a little drier than some other mascaras I've used and thus requires a couple more coats, but the upside is my lashes never clump with this. Not the best mascara ever, but it does the job.

I'll admit it, I am extremely high-maintenance when it comes to mascara. I've tried everything from DiorShow to Faux Cils to Great Lash... nothing, so far, has completely won me over. I love having thick, black, "faux" lashes, and so far the only thing that has brought me that close is Smashbox Focal Point - and even that is far from being a 'perfect' mascara.
Sadly, this mascara doesn't even come close to giving me that 'false eyelashes' type of look, so I thought to myself, it's probably off to the swapping block with this one. But I really have to rave about the quality of the mascara - it goes on without ANY clumping or smudging at all, and gives me really beautiful, long, defined lashes that look natural, but nice. This mascara doesn't give you too much volume (and that's what I'm looking for), but it's perfect in just about every other way. It's definitely by far the best mascara I've used for a "natural" look, and that's exactly what I'm going to keep it for.

Like the review below, I bought this little Bourjois set at TJMaxx. Who could resist that bargain!
First of all, I have short, sparse, pale, stick-straight lashes, which is a challenge for any mascara. The Talons took many coats which I applied after I curled my lashes. Usually by the time I unscrew the cap off of any mascara, the curl is already gone. I coated my lashes over and over and did not allow the mascara to dry. I noticed that the mascara was doing a good job of lengthening, and I did notice a nice lifting effect. The black shade is very black and sooty. Hardly any clumping, and just working the brush through the lashes helps to even out the application. I did not use a comb afterwards. The mascara lasted all day and the best part was there was not one single flake at all! A no-flaking mascara is a great find! It was easy to remove the mascara with my Almay Non-Oily EyeMakeup Remover Pads. I'd buy this mascara again even at full price.
