My biggest gripe with this toner is the smell, just something about it makes me want to gag. In addition this toner did not work well with me, it burned my skin and left my skin super dry.

Great! Love the new formula, it smells better and its not as strong so it's not as harsh and drying as the old formula in the light green bottle. I have nothing bad to say about biore products except they seem to have stopped making lotions which sucks. Anyways this astringent is fresh, it has alcohol and possibly witch hazel in it which makes it great for tightening those pores and getting rid of acne. I love this product Ive literally been using it for years. Only complaint about new bottle, the way the bottle or cap is made Im not sure which is the problem but no matter how you tip it into the palm of your hand the product leaks all down the cap and down the side of the bottle, my friend thinks Biore did that on purpose to make people waste more product which would make people need to buy more astringent sooner rather than later but maybe its just an honest mistake.. so use a cotton ball or if you prefer to put on astringent with your hands put some of this into another squeeze bottle that doesn't leak and spill so you don't waste product.

I love this astringent. It helped get rid of acne I was getting on my chin and my skin felt very clean after using this. It has a menthol feeling to it and also contains alcohol so it may be a little harsh for some people, but I didn't find that and I have extremely sensitive skin, although I do use a thick moisturizer after using this. I highly recommend it for anyone with acne or the occasional pimple. I don't think I've had one pimple since I started using this!

This is a review for the Biore Blemish Fighting astringent and this is an EXCELLENT toner/astringent. It thoroughly cleans your face, taking off all the gunk, oil residue, dirt, etc. The salicylic acid in it helps clear your face, stop pimples and just all-around CLEAN your pores. My skin always feels very clean after using this. I've tried other toners out there, but Biore is the only one that does a good job in cleaning the pores.
I have combination/oily skin and this NEVER dries me out. And it helps in reducing oil, my face is always shine-free/oil-free after using it. For the first week of use, it will sting a little bit, because your pores are reacting to it initially. The price is also very doable, available for under 10 bucks.

I like this for the occasional pimple as it has salicylic acid, but it is just too harsh for my sensitive skin. It burns a little when I first put it on and dries out my skin. I think I will try something different next time (I LOVE Clinique toner, but it's expensive).

First time I had used this, I hated it. It really dried up my face! I had to apply night cream on, twice. The next day I broke out. So I left it until the break outs went away and gave it another go. Luckily I did because it has definitely helped keep my breakouts at bay. I have been using this for a month now, once a day (sometimes I miss days cause I'm not home). The only other thing I have changed in my routine is drinking more water. This could be why but I still believe that this toner has helped. I didn't use it for 5 days and I got a pimple on my chin. First big blemish since I have used it! I can't compare this toner to others unfortunately but give it a go if you're looking or one. It's inexpensive.

Biore has discontinued this product and it's now called the "Blemish Fighting Astringent". I've never used this product, but their new astringent is amazing! I use it along with their pore unclogging scrub and my skin feels so much better! It's smoother, less oily and my pore sizes have decreased. And most importantly, I have seen such improvement in my acne! A must buy for sure!

I love this stuff. While looking at my almost empty bottle, I am so sad it's discontinued.
The Bioré site says that their "Blemish Treating Astringent" is their new replacement. I don't like the smell and it doesn't feel the same to me. I doubt it, but maybe it's because I don't have acne? I use it to take residue of cleansers, makeup removers, and errant hair-care products off my skin. However, I do use it a lot more in the summer when I get home from wherever I've been since I rarely wear makeup in the heat.

This is an amazing toner. I went looking for it the other day and it is no longer sold, biore reformulated and repackaged. I soak a tiny piece of a cotton ball in it and then apply to any pimples for 5-10 minutes. Then allow to dry and cover with moisturizer. This eliminates the pimple over night. I've had massive nasty puss-y pimples dissappear over night! It can be a bit drying or irritating probably due to the alcohol content. I only have about a tenth of the bottle left and will be devastated when it's gone. I realize that its primarily made of witch hazel, but witch hazel is hard to come by in my area.
Go stock up if you love this product like I do!

Holy grail stuff right here!!!! I have gone through bottles of this stuff, because its that good. This toner does everything it says it will. Every time I get a Pimple, I pop it when its ready to go (even if your not suppose to idc) and I put a little bit of this toner on a qtip and place it on my pimple. Literally next day gone, no scar nothing. I love it. It can be drying if you use it and don't moisturize after but I don't see that problem and I even have dry skin especially in the winter. Now that its spring it does help with my combo skin. I would recommend it!!!

I dont know about this product... i thought i would love it because i do love the ice fighting cleanser so i thought it would make a good match with it. However this dried me out pretty bad even with a good moistuizer. I think this might have too much alcohol cuz its a astringent. Guess its time to switch to a toner instead.

This is my newly found HG Astringent. I've tried many ranging from Clean & Clear, Proactiv, Vichy and this has been the kindest and most beneficial to my skin. Its scent is fresh yet subtle, the packaging is simple yet attractive. I apply this usually every night after removing eye makeup and enjoy the slightly cooling sensation it leaves, similar to the scrub by Biore I have.
I wouldn't recommend this to people with dry skin, unless they also used a good oil-free moisturizer to balance moisture levels. This can be a bit drying. Other then that I love it and will repurchase! Great product for a decently wallet friendly price.

I've been using this for years and have nothing bad to say about it, it works, it smells nice and it's not expensive. I also LOVE the new packaging, they changed it from the light green color to a white/blue color scheme recently and it looks really fresh and cute! The smell kind of changed with along with the packaging also, its only a subtle change I dont think anyone would really notice it.
Also I have sensitive skin and in the past I have tried everything from neutrogena to clean and clear, but when I found biore I never even thought about trying anything else, I have literally been using biore products for about the last 6 years. Its wonderful!

I switched to this product after using Alba Bontanica's Deep Clean Astringent. Both have alcohol, 2% salicylic acid, and are oil-free. However, I find the Biore to be much more cleansing and actually live up to it's name. It has been Complexion Clearing, tightening, clearing, and cleansing. And not drying which is the most important aspect. The Alba was also not drying but I never felt like my skin was clean. With the Biore it tingles so I really feel like it's penetrating deeply and clearing my skin. I will definitely buy Biore again!

I bought this few months ago because I have large pores and I wanted this to help to minimize them. However it didn't do anything for my pores and actually it enlarged my pores more visibly!! I wanted this work so bad after reading so many good reviews on this astringent:( It left such a nice minty tingly smell and it kept my oily skin at bay though.

This stuff BUUURRNS when you first put it on! First time, I noticed red patches on my skin! But after a week I noticed it going away
I've only used this toner for a month and I can't tell if it's actually working to reduce acne. When I don't use this, there is no difference in my skin, so I will continue to use until the bottle is empty.
I DID notice that my face is not as oily!!! I believe it's because of the high alcohol content and witch hazel. I can only imagine the damage this will do to dry or sensitive skin!!
Overall, it didn't change my skin, didn't make it worse, it was just an extra step to my skincare routine. I would recommend this to those with OILY skin. It dramatically cuts the oil from your face!! So be sure to moisturize after using this, even if you have oily skin. If you don't moisturize, your skin will try to compensate for the dryness by producing excess oil.

Hmmm...I used this product a while back, and now it's almost empty...I would like to think that it helped my skin get to where it is today, but I can't be too sure because it probably wasn't just this product that did the magic. Anyways, I was actually kind of scared to use this because I thought my skin would react badly from it. Thankfully it wasn't too harsh. I like Biore and this is a decent toner for those that are acne prone.

I never really got into toners, because of everyone's mixed feelings about them. Some feel they're pointless, while others swear by it. So I figured I might as well try one out, and luckily this is the first one I picked up. I was very skeptical of this at first, thinking it'd do nothing for me except dry out my skin. I just pour a small splash onto a cotton round, and swipe it across my face and jaw after I'm done cleansing. It definitely helps pick up excess oil and dirt that my cleanser didn't get.
But when I first applied it, it had this tingling/icy/stinging feel to it that caused a very humorous expression to come across my face. All I was thinking was "HOLY MOTHER OF THE LORD, IT BURNS!"
I was instantly turned off from it, but grudgingly continued to use it for unknown reasons. Then I began to notice that my acne was beginning to fade, as well as the oiliness of my skin. After a while, the stinging went away. I'm pretty sure it was just the initial shock of the astringent, but I began to appreciate the cooling sensation during the Summer months.
Anyway, I'm quite pleased with this toner. Definitely will repurchase, as I see this becoming a staple product in my skin care routine.

I've used this toner for about a month now and it works pretty well for me. I love the cooling sensation when you put it on. Btw, I use a cotton pad to apply it. This has 2% salicylic acid and contains witch hazel, both of which are very good for acne. After using this once a day at night for a month, my oily skin has seemed to become less oily. The scent of this toner is light and refreshing, not overpowering at all.
The one thing that I dislike about this product is the packaging. The dispenser is a little hole that is covered by a flip cap. I always pour out too much toner for one use and then it gets wasted! However, I do like this and will repurchase again.
