A wonderfully pigmented dusty medium purple...the name is rather deceiving because periwinkle should actually be between blue, grey and purple...whereas this is very purple. But, it's gorgeous on, as a crease or a liner color. Matte. I am a MAC NC30 and it really brings out the green in my eyes. I love this color! All Mary Kay eyeshadows wear extremely well and in my experience, do not crease or fade during the day, without primer, on my oily lids. This is a very high quality eyeshadow that you would expect from a company like MAC, but it's Mary Kay! The only downside is the horrible refill packaging system. I bought a bunch of MK refills for cheap on Ebay, but they should give customers more options.

I did not like this shade, it is deceiving in the photograoh because I thought it would be more of a lavender- pastel shade of purple, but instead it was very dark with a plum hue that brought out my undereye circles big time. I returned this to my Mary Kay rep. right away!!

This is my favorite eye shadow! This goes perfect with my green eyes and warm tones. Usually all the purples I find are for cool-toned girls, so I was so excited to find this warm periwinkle! I hope they don't ever discontinue this one.

I was pleasantly surprised at how much I love this shadow! I am cool-toned with green eyes (LLL/FFF) and this makes my eyes pop! It brightens my eye area beautifully. I applied it with Rose Mist & Moonstone as a highlighter. Chanel Shadowlights are my HG eyeshadows, however this combo will be my Spring/Summer look! My only complaint is the need for the large Compact as the awkward shaped pans are just that~awkward. I think I get their point though, as now I'm seeking a blush & lipstick for my compact :) Back to this shadow. It is a matte shade & applies like sheer silk & blends wonderfully. It's easy to layer for added intensity if desired as well. I remember using Mary Kay about 10 years ago and I was pleased with the performance of the shadows then as well, but again~the packaging didn't work for me. Only the two-color compacts were available at the time & this custom color compact allows me to create my own interchangeable colors. At any rate, this lovely cool toned perriwinkle is a new favorite for me.

I am naturally drawn to pretty blue-ish purple/ultraviolet shadows. This shadow goes on much more sheer and lighter than you would think. It is very pretty. It gives just the right amount of color with out being gawdy. I don't think I would try it as a liner. It is a nice color for day, and you can make it for intense for the evening.
