I used this product for the first time only 12 hours ago and I'm already impressed. I had been using Burt's Bees acne solutions toner, and the alcohol dried out my skin and made it soooo oily and caused more blemishes, so I went on the hunt for another natural toner and stumbled upon this in Target. It's a little on the pricey side, but the bottle is pretty big and will last me a couple months, so it's worth it. I don't see alcohol in the ingredients, but there is a slight alcohol-y aftersmell after the initial fruity, pleasant scent. After cleansing my face in the shower, I put this on and could immediately feel the difference from my previous toner. It stings ever so slightly at first, but dissipates quickly. My pores seemed to look a little tighter (I have large pores to begin with, nothing will make them disappear completely) and my face felt softer. In fact, I was in a warm room, but my face felt so refreshed, like I had sprayed it with a mist. My moisturizer absorbed so well and didn't seem to "stick" to my face like it did with my last toner. Previously, I used to have to blot my face with oil-absorbing sheets before bed or applying makeup, because my face was so oily. Now, barely any oil on the blot sheet. And the best part? Blemishes that I had from my previous toner were almost gone by the next morning. I'm absolutely sold on this product so far.

I bought this toner a while back, and I loved the smell. But I disliked the way it got bubbly and soapy when trying to apply it. Plus I noticed that this made me break out and made my existing acne worse. Needless to say I dumped it out and reused the bottle to store something else in it.

I previously used Thayers as my toner and thought it was pretty good. But I bought this toner on a whim because it was 75% off at CVS last year. I didn't try the product until a few months ago and this has changed and saved my skin! I used to have cystic acne on my jawline and after using this it has cleared up substantially. The first few times after using this toner, it had a slight burning sensation, but I think I got used to it, so I don't feel that sensation anymore. After each swipe, I can see the dirt and residue built up on my skin and this toner attracts everything off! This is my HG toner now and will repurchase at full price. It is a pricey toner for drugstore, but I think it is well worth it!

I used this toner for about 2 weeks but had to stop because it made be break out so badly even on places on my face that have not had a break out in YEARS!!! The smell was so nice but of course a product that smells good is not worth a horrible breakout.

After reading the good reviews, I decided to give it a try and I'm not disappointed as it refreshes my dull skin. I have tried different toners from the cheap to expensive brands, but this one is by far the best that improves my skin within a day or two. Mine is oily and dehydrated skin with lots of blackhead and whitehead on my T-zone. Many toners did dry out my skin but not this one. I agreed with some users that it is a bit sticky after applying it. But this feeling will disappear when skin absorbs the liquid. After using it for 2 weeks, I can tell my skin is soften and pores and blackheads and whiteheads are diminished. Actually I'm so surprised because I didn't expect that this budget-friendly and drugstore product could give such a good result but it did.

This is a wonderful and gentle toner. It does not sting or dry out my skin at all. It feel light and very natural on the skin. I put this toner in a spray bottle and its wonderfully refreshing when I spray in on my face. I use all Alba products as my skin routine now and all are cruelty free.

I love this toner. It smells pleasant, it works well, it soothes my skin. I used this consistently for a year and a half, and it's always been good at clearing up my skin. Lately i've been experimenting with skin care products and home remedies. Whenever i break out from weird ingredients, i jump right back to this toner. Use it for a couple of days, slather some CeraVe moisturizer on top, and my skin is back to normal again. This toner was especially helpful in clearing up my forehead.

I used thayers for a long time until I bought a damaged bottle that did major damage to my skin. I switched to th alba botanica for a while and it feels wonderful. At first this product stung my eyes a little ( might be some menthol or tea tree oil ingredient). Overall it makes my skin really bright and moisturized. Will definitely stick to is brand. I feel it's higher quality compared to thayers.

i used the clinique clarifying lotion for a while and i thought it wasn't too bad... until i tried this! the clinique toner was SO HARSH on my face and stung like crazy. by comparison, this is the gentlest, most effective toner ever. proof: whenever i don't use it for a day or two, a pimple pops up. this has made such a big difference in my skin and i can't recommend it more highly! it's just a shame it's still quite expensive at over $12 a bottle from target, but it's a lot cheaper than anything from the department store, so i'm not going to whine too much.

I first purchased this product when I was in my early 20s. I don't know why I stopped using it, but I just recently started getting really serious about my skin care again.

I use to use this everyday after cleansing my face. It is very gentle on my sensitive acne prone skin. At first it may sting, but it eventually is very soothing on the face.

It removes any residual dirt or makeup that water and cleansing misses. It brightens my face and makes me feel really clean. It is all natural and to me I like the scent.

I will continue re-purchasing this product again! It is a HG in my skincare routine!

at first time when I use it, I liked the scent and the fact that it's made out of natural ingredients.
but it's little bit drying and tingly feeling after I apply. and seems to make my skin break out a little and make it red. doesn't work for me.

Im usually not using toners (have tried few in the past but they never worked for me) so after reading so many great reviews about it, decided to purchase. I cleanse my face, then using cotton pad, apply this on my face and neck. I like the smell of it, really fresh. My face looks little pink afterwards but it goes away fast and skin feels really smooth and clean. It does remove access foundation, so I think this toner is great - didnt break me out either.
The only minus - Im not used to toners so I do not like the little sticky feeling that I get from this after few hours.

I actually really really like this toner!
It has a lot of nice soothing and conditioning ingredients and is ever so slightly moisturising.
If you have oily-really oily congested skin I wouldnt suggest this for you but if your dry - combination definitely give it a shot!
It provides a nice base for your moisturiser to soak in to which is all you can really ask for with a toner :)

This has been my go-to toner for the past year now. I try to go for the gentlest, most natural, yet most effective products available that aren't astronomically expensive. The first time I purchased this, I was in a drugstore in Key West, FL, in a rush, and just needed a basic toner, not giving the purchase much thought. When I'm in a drugstore, "Alcohol free" and "Paraben free" are my only real requirements for a toner (and a tall order at that). However, I've been rather pleased with it! Undoubtedly, one of the highest quality drugstore buys out there, but still a good product in its own right.

It has a natural, semi-sweet smell (which I happen to love!), but is not overpowering. Most importantly, it is effective at removing residue, seems to help prevent breakouts, and seems to even out my skin tone and texture a bit. My only complaint is that it can be too drying for me at times (which, of course, is partially the fault of whatever cleanser I may be using prior to this). I stopped using this product for a few weeks and replaced it with the 100% Pure Organic Rose Hydrosol Facial Mist for sensitive and dehydrated skin (which seemed to do absolutely NOTHING for my skin), and noticed that my blackheads started becoming more noticeable and my skin didn't feel as clean and soft. I decided to check out the 100% Pure website again in search of a more effective toner. Obsessively reading the ingredients list for every toner on the site, and then the ingredients list for this toner, I noticed they were remarkably similar, so I opted to buy another bottle of this toner instead of spending more money for less product that's going to do pretty much the same thing. I will continue to use this until I find something better.

This is one of my fave steps in my routine. This is such a gentle toner, it makes it so pleasant and easy to use in evening or morning. It smells pleasantly tropical-like and gives skin a light refreshing clean tingle after using. This is awesome at picking up any missed residue my cleanser didn't get and I just love it!

My all time favorite toner. HG! I use this nightly after washing my face with a gentle cleanser. I put it on a cotton pad and apply to my face in streaks. I let it dry completely (about 10 seconds) , then apply my night time moisturizer. This toner keeps my pores pretty clean, it does help me with preventing breakouts. About one week without this I already had 2 nasty pimples. It doesn't exactly help with my oily skin, but that's not really what its intended for. My overall skin condition looks and feels better when I use this. My pores have reduced in size, less blackheads and pimples, and my skin is so smooth! The smell is okay. Very low amount of alcohal, or none, and that's something else I love about it. i bought this for 10.99 at target. I will never go without this!

I really wanted to like this toner because of its raving reviews on here, but after 2 weeks of using it, I returned it. I've tried so many toner/astringents from Clean and Clear to Neutrogena. I know its bad to keep switching your skin care products, but I wanted to try something new to clear the bumps around my nose and chin and control the shininess/oiliness around my T-zone. I would apply this toner before I put on my Olay moisturizer and makeup and sometimes at night. I must admit it did take off any excess makeup I had on my face after I washed my face at night. However, it wasn't clearing any of my pimples, which others claim it does. I feel that it actually caused some breakouts on my forehead, chin, and cheeks.
Price - I bought it for $12.99 at Target, a bit pricey compared to other drugstore toners that are $3-6 bucks.
Packaging - decent, doesn't spill out all over cotton ball/square like other toners/astringents.
Smell - ehh, it smells a lot like lemons, not that big of a fan.
Overall, I'd recommend this toners to others because what didn't work for me, may work better for other people; it all depends on our skin type and how our skin reacts to it. I'd probably purchase this toner again to give it another try, only if it goes on sale or clearance.

I really love this toner! I use it after cleansing my face with Alba Coconut Milk Facial Wash (twice a week I replace this wash with Alba Pineapple Enzyme Facial Scrub) and before using Alba Jasmine & Vitamin E Moisture Cream. My face feels REFRESHED and moisturized!! I have dry and acne-prone skin and I've been using it for 4 months and have not noticed any break-outs, nor does it make my skin feel dry and tight!

I'm amazed at how well this works for me. It cleans off the extra dirt/residue that my facial cleanser didn't get and it also softens/moisturizes my skin and the fact it smells good! Not that nasty alcohol scent in many toners. I have not experienced a stingy sensation with this toner which is good since my skin is prone to breakouts but sometimes I do get a temporary warm tingly feeling when I apply it so if your skin is really sensitive, I might not recommend it.

my skin is really oily during summer time, but during winter, it gets quite dry, especially the area around my mouth, sometimes the skin around my mouth even peels off. I was looking for something that is gentle and moisturizing. I know I should not expect a toner to do the moisturizing job, therefore, all I expect from this product is to prepare well for the moisturizer. However, it stings whenever I apply it to my face, it also leaves a filmy and sticky layer on top of my skin, it does not seem to sink into the skin at all. Although the scent is good, I still would not buy this product again.
