This is and feels like a cheap shower oil. The smell is not pleasant and doesn't leave my skin softer or greasy. It removes waterproof body sunscreen effectively and that's why I will keep using it.

I was thinking it's a greasy shower oil, so I didn't give it a try. But in this winter my skin become too dry and i thought shower oil may actually preserve some moisture after showering so I got this. Well it feels oily at first, then transforms in milky and light texture and rinses off completely. I like gentle and luxurious smell and texture. And since it's so cheep I would keep it in my bathroom to use sometimes. Such a relaxing and silky product.

The oil is similar in consistency to L'Occitane's Almond shower oil, and undergoes the same oil-to-washable milk process. It's soothing on the skin, aids a clean shave on the legs, and does moisturise. The scent is faintly of rice, white floral and Victorian soap, which is pleasant enough. My boyfriend thinks this stuff is great and I think it's pretty good. The four lipsticks are from him, as I don't like it as much as I might.

This stuff is great! It looks like an oil but as soon as you mix it with water it turns into a light foam that feels very luxurious on your skin. It makes you feel clean and soft. It doesn't dry out my skin like most shower gels do (big plus), but it's not actively moisturizing so don't expect this to replace your body lotion or anything. The smell is nice and neutral and doesn't clash with anything. I also like to use this instead of shaving cream as it leaves my skin much softer afterwards. Pampering oil is a very appropriate name. I love it. I have repurchased this several times already and I will keep on doing that in the future.
Update: unfortunately I found out this was causing break-outs on my body so I stopped using this. Bummer, since I really liked it. If your skin is not break-out prone (mine is very break-out prone) I'd really still recommend this.

An ambery liquid that glides on like an oil, and slips like one too! If you spill some in the shower, be prepared for bruised shins and elbows! :)
Having said that, it's a luxurious product to use on the nights you're not using a scrub as it's very moisturising and smells lovely.

Great! i love it. It's not supposed to foam up alot as that would derive alot of chemicals in the product. It turns milky once the water hits it. It leaves my skin soft with no oily residue and has a scent that disappears so it doesn't clash with any perfumes.
Very good product and i'd recommend it.

At first I wasn't sure about this product. However its distinctive sweet subtle smell and its oily but not greasy texture has grown on me. Now I will make sure that I won't run out of this although it is very hard to get hold of where I live. It is not cheap but the way it leaves my skin smelling is worth the extra price. My skin just smells clean not chemically and it is not a sickeningly overpowering fragrance.I don't find it ultra moisturising though so don't expect it to do wonders to your skin. This product is worth a try because you might just fall in love with it like I did!

This is a lovely product, the oil is a golden, almost amber colour and glides on your body. Add water and it foams, cleaning as well as moisturising. The scent is sweet, almost floral, I like it. The only drawback, which is why I subtracted a lippy, is it's VERY slippery if you spill some!!!

I'm going to disagree with all the previous comments - I found this product most unimpressive. It looks luxurious enough, comes in a smallish bottle, and smells a little offputting. I don't judge on smells though, I judge on performance. Unfortunately, I had to mark it down for that too. It doesn't lather very well, I had to use quite a bit to get any sort of foaming action out of it. Fair enough, it's not a shower gel. But did it leave my skin beautifully soft? Not really. It left my skin no more moisturised than any other run of the mill shower gel. Total gimmick.

Very yummy, and pampering. It doesn't moisturise as much as you expect from it and it's quite expensive, but it is lovely.

I find this to be a very pampering, luxurious experience for an extremely affordable price. The oil itself looks extremely luxurious, thick and golden, and feels amazing when it comes in contact with water as it lathers beautifully. This is excellent for shaving your legs and it leaves skin utterly smooth, silky, and beautifully pampered. My only gripe is the smell which I don't really like. Strange because I've always liked, if not loved, the way Nivea products smell. In this regard, I prefer L'Occitane's Almond Shower Oil which is waaaaay more expensive but smells utterly divine! All in all, I probably wouldn't buy this product again for myself (unless god forbid, L'Occitane's shower oil is discontinued) but I WOULD get it as a gift for someone. This is, after all, an extremely affordable bit of luxury. And who wouldn't like that? :)

Actually bought this product ages ago when it first came out. But only used it once or twice since I didn't really know how to use it. There weren't any instructions on the bottle and I was worried that it might be cause breakouts on my back.

After reading all the reviews here and figured out how to use it, I gave it another go and I love it! I generally have dry sensitive skin (eczema) on my body and this shower oil wash is quite gentle and nourishing. It washes off without the greasy feeling and leaves your skin wonderfully soft! Definitely recommend this!

Looks like a thick oil when you first pour it out. Once water hits it, it goes a milky white and feels very soft and smooth when you wash yourself. It doesn't leave any residue. I decanted some into a smaller bottle to tote along with me, and that leaked. Not impressed. But that's my fault.

I'm not a fan of the scent, nor did I find it particularly moisturising (I have really dry skin on my body). I'll try use it every day for a while and see if that makes a difference. The way it emulsifies with water reminds me of those cleansing facial oils - you know the ones you use to remove makeup? I think shiseido makes one. I've got some orange scented Japanese one.

So far, my favourite body wash has still got to be Dove Exfoliating (smells amazing!) or the Silk one (the only body wash to make my skin feel noticeably smoother.)

Love this shower oil! I have been using it everyday for over a year. Great quality for a drugstore product. It works great on my dry skin and, if I am in a hurry, I can even skip body moisturizer. I also like its simple soapy scent, some people might not like it though(my sister hates it). It costs around 3.50€ here in Italy. Highly recommended if you have dry skin.

beautiful, gorgeous! that’s the product -- and how you’ll feel after using it! i was doubtful about this at first: my mum recommended it and i thought it might be too oily, too grease-slicky. but i’m hooked! it’s my special indulgence shower treatment when i really enjoy the silkiness of the product. for some reason i really like it in the winter time, it feels very pampering then! the colour is beautiful and golden, the smell is subtle and soft -- you’d smell clean and luxurious if you didn’t put anything on afterwards, and if you did, there wouldn’t be a clash of perfumes. the oil feels emollient and slippery on your skin, and turns to a soft gentle milk when combined with water (there’s very minimal lather). i use it under the shower like i would a gel, sometimes using a glycerin soap to first clean and then smoothing this all over for its gently decadent moisturising qualities. this way i feel moisturised, but i have never felt greasy afterwards. and it’s only about four or five aussie dollars -- so cheap for such a wonderful bit of luxury.

I love this stuff! Unfortunately it's not available in the US so I make a point to stock up whenever I'm overseas. I love the fragrance, and the creamy low-lather while using. It's especially great for shaving legs, leaves my skin like silk! Excellent for dry skin. Nivea, please make this available in the US!

This is indeed a great shower oil! It lathers slightly, doesn't make my skin feel dry and tight and the smell is pleasant. As always with the Nivea products, the price is pleasant as well.

I absolutely love this shower oil. It's better than any other moisturizing soap or shower liquid/gel I've ever tried and is a great alternative for people who have problems with dry skin. You use it like a regular shower liquid, but it isn't as harsh and drying. It's not as moisturizing as a pure oil. But because it isn't a straight oil, it doesn't leave your skin feeling greasy. It has enough emollients to leave your skin feeling moisturized when you get out of the shower. I highly recommend it.

This golden oil lathers very slightly. It doesn’t lather as much as a regular shower gel so if you really like lots of bubbles and suds then this isn’t for you. But if you have dry skin and avoid shower gels for that reason you might want to give this a go. It doesn’t leave your skin feeling as though you’ve moisturised thoroughly but it does certainly add some moisture to your skin without leaving a greasy or oily residue. The fragrance is very subtle and isn’t very exciting or sweet but it’s good in the way that it won’t interfere with perfume. I’d buy again.
