I LOVE THIS STUFF!
I have pretty bad skin. Acne, blotches, uneven skin tone, oily and dry, sensitive, all of it. I have tried thousands of products in the past - all to fail, except for one that is now too harsh for my skin because it's getting dryer and colder. I have had these for about 2 weeks now, and I cut the pads in half because they are so big.
First off, I LOVE how sudsy and moistened these are. Moist toilette's or pads tend to be dry, but these aren't at all. I also love the double sided textures. The exfoliating side is gentle and removes dry skin and buffs out evenly, while the smooth side wipes away dirt, oils, makeup. I actually use this as my makeup remover, because all I use is powder and concealer face wise. It has made my skin flawless!!! Its evened out, no more oil or dry patches, no more acne, and it seems to sort of glow. This is my HG product and I recommend to anyone. Unless you have dripping oily skin and need something to control that, or your acne is so bad you could use prescribed medication.

The SA in these pads dried out my skin too much and irritated my break outs. I finally figured out that I needed to use a more gentle cleanser and just witch hazel for a toner and then save the chemicals (like BP) for the lotion. I switched to Aveeno's positively radiant cleansing pads and my skin cleared up!

im on my second container!!! love this stuff. it hasnt COMPLETELY gotten rid of all my acne but ive improved alot since before this stuff which is good enough for me. its replaced all of my acne washes, etc. one pad has alot of product in it so ive started cutting them in half, not only does it help ur container last longer, but theres the perfect amount of product. and i love how it makes my skin look fresh and more even. im already planning on repurchasing. :)

I am with the few people who had a bad reaction to this. It's been almost a week and my skin still feels like it was scraped with sandpaper and dry as the desert. I never had sensitive skin before, so I don't understand what happened. I'm very surprised that most people like this stuff. Perhaps I didn't rinse the product off my face thoroughly enough. There must be something very strong it in that can do damage if left on too long. It did clear up the zits on my chin, but the chemicals combined with the exfoliating side was too harsh a duo for my skin.

I have no complaints with this product.

Low dose salicylic acid exfoliating cleansing pads. My skin feels smooth and fresh after and it doesn't dry me out.

I don't think you could go wrong with this product.

I got these because I wanted to use them on the lazy days. They did a really good job of cleaning my face. But after my face was burning and itching like crazy. I really wanted to like these too. I took them back the next day.

These are great for the lazy person in me. If I'm getting home after a late night, they're just great! I can easily wash my face over the sink and get off to bed. I don't really use them often enough to tell whether they really help to clear me up (I only use them like once every couple weeks), however they definitely don't cause any new breakouts to form.

It's nice that they have a smooth side and a scrubby side, because I can exfoliate if I want.

The reason I took off a lippie for packaging is because I wish the top was a flip top like the Positively Ageless Cleansing Pads. It's a lot more convenient than the twist off top on these ones. I have to unscrew the top, take out a pad, and then try to screw the top back on while still holding the pad I just got out, or I have to leave it open until I'm done washing. It's a picky thing, but it would still be nice.

I purchased this thinking it would be good since Aveeno is a good brand.
I was a little disappointed with it. It didn't help me with my mild acne at all. It did make my face feel clean. I wished that it had a little more of a texture to the pads.
I did like however that they were pads and you didn't need anything else. But, as you got the the bottom it was a little awkward to get them out.
I sure wished they worked. So now I'm going to try the Roc and see what happens with those.

I used this every morning as a nice refresher for my face. Scrubbed at my face with the rough side and then smoothed it away with the softer side, and then rinsed my face clean.

I didn't notice that my skin was glowing but I also didn't have any nasty breakouts as I tend to do. (Probably because this was in conjunction with my HG facial wash) It did the job of refreshing my face and waking me up in the morning, and the smell is pleasant and clean; nothing overbearingly fragrant or chemically smelling (as some acne products tend to do)

It's a really nice idea and I think they should make bigger sizes, so I don't have to always go to CVS to pick them up.

The concept of the product was nice, however it caused my skin to breakout more than anything else. I think it focuses on being too sensitive and too gentle and it doesn't do the job it is meant to do.

I used to have acne-prone skin and those pads did wonders. They made my skin incredibly smooth and clear. I didn't use them everyday, though, only when I needed exfoliation because they seemed a bit harsh. Around a year after I started using those pads, I started taking a birth control pill that completely changed my type of skin. It went from acne/normal-ish to super dry. I had to stop using the pads because they literally destroyed my skin (I had patches of red dry, flaky, scaly skin on my forehead). The conclusion of my story is that you probably shouldn't use those if you have dry, easily irritable, or sensitive skin. If not, the results can be amazing.

I'm pretty sure those are discontinued where I live as I haven't seen them in drugstores in years (Montreal, Canada), though.

Was at the grocery store and was too lazy to go to walmart to buy neutrogena refills for my wave so I got these. I have dry skin, was acne prone but I have virtually none since I got it under control with other products.
I have been using these over a week now and they didn't break me out or anything, they get my make up off (just don't use around your eyes, burns) They did make my skin noticeably smoother. I use the rough side then the softer one. Unlike other cleansing pads and sheets, they aren't too rough so I like them. Would purchase again. Considering cutting into halves to use with my wave. Would actually be cheaper than paying $6 for 14 wave pads

Edit: I believe I had a problem with the Sodium C14 16 Olefin Sulfonate ingredient in particular, not the SA. Cleansers with it seem to cause lots of dryness problems on people with sensitive skin.

I would not recommend these pads for sensitive skin. At first I really liked them and my skin was looking a little bit better day after day. Then after about five days I started getting a flaked rash around the forehead and clogged pores in the most random of places. I stopped using these pads and the problems faded away. Too harsh, and too expensive. Once again hit with the truth that non-gentle cleansers are horrible on my skin type.

This is my HG face cleaner. I've been using it for years, and it still is the only product that clears my face up almost immediately.

About a month ago I got into the oil cleanse method and I went on a shopping spree of all new face products, I was so excited to try all my new stuff that I stopped using this product.

I broke out HORRIBLY. On the sides of my face, my chin, cheeks, I couldn't understand what was going on. My pores were clogged, face was rough, and it just wasn't going away.

I finally sat down and tried to think what was causing the problem... well it turns out it was what I WASN'T using that was causing the problem. I opened up my cabinet and saw the lonely tub of these pads that I had so neglected for a month and had one of those "Aha!" moments.

It took two days. That's it. Two days and my month of misery was on it's way to recovery. I will never again forget to use these pads in my daily regimen. I use the oil cleanse at night, and I use this scrubby pad in the morning and my face is back to glowing.

I love the rough side. I'm all about exfoliation and getting rid of dead skin cells b/c my face is prone to being dry, rough, clogged, and this "rough" side really does a great job of making my face super smooth.

It is true that you can waste this product, as it lathers up really well and then your face is clean and you still have an entire pad full of suds! You can actually cut the pad in half and use half and then use the other half the next day. Then the tub lasts twice as long!

I have no problem with the size or packaging. It sits in my cabinet so it really doesn't bother me.

BEWARE! It's extremely rough. At first, when you use this it makes your skin nice and smooth but it's actually too harsh to use over time. I used about three tubs of this stuff before I my skin started reacting badly to it. I used it gently but I got red, extremely itchy, scaly, flaky, pus-like bumps all over my face. It was NOT acne. It was like patches. I think it started to wear away the natural protective barrier of my skin and exposed the underlayer. I got terrible facial scars from it. I would not recommend this to anyone! WAY TOO HARSH.

Agree that the tub size is large and awkward, and the price point is a bit high for a drugstore brand. However, I had a terrible breakout out of nowhere last week, and I mean, ugly, bad splotchy acne that I haven't had in 20 years. WTH? I ran out to the store and bought these and some salicylic acid, and in a few days, I'm almost back to normal. These feel great on my skin, the scrubby side is nice but not too rough. It does make my face a little red afterwards, but I may be irritated by the salicylic acid product that I had bought to go with this. I like the convenience of having the cleanser and scrubby side together, and it would be convenient to take with you on travel. Overall, I give it 4 lippies for general cleaning goodness.

I generally stick to my known products but this was sent to me to review some time ago.

I will write here what I wrote in a report:

1. Packaging is clumsy and cumbersome
2. The actual pads do not have enough sloughing action on the rough side and the smoother side is almost slippery.
3. I did not see any noticeable difference in my skin when I used it.
4. The actual cleansing material does not do a thorough job of cleaning - i.e. I had to continue using my old cleanser and buff puff as well as toners to clean my face at night.
5. The pads were more effective in the morning -- but even then the oils in my skin were not removed effectively by the pads.
6. The fragrance might be an irritant to those who are allergic or sensitive.
7. The price for a DS product is high for the quality of the product.

I would not purchase this product.

I bought this in hopes of it working in conjunction with my acne medication (differin) to clear my skin. After using it for three weeks, here are my thoughts:

- I love the scent; it's pure and refreshing to me!
- Leaves my face feeling very clean and freshened.

- However, I found the exfoliating side to be too harsh and abrasive to my skin. My acne hasn't gotten much worse, BUT my cheeks and nose area have pink patches. These pads aren't gentle enough for me. Plus, they sting!

I was very disappointed by this product.... I don't which ingredient it was that gave my skin a burning sensation, but when I used the pads, I felt this stinging sensation that reminded me what it might feel like to have a chemical burn. Not kidding. I feel so ripped off! I did use the pads more than once, hoping for different results, but it was the same every time.

The pads do smell very nice... kind of a citrus scent
