I tend to love the sweeter scents...but I am enjoying this one...its warm but almost herby and earthy.

Defintely the mrryh comes out quite a bit. I might have to buy this in a bigger bottle soon.

All I am pulling from La Petit Mort is almond. It's almost like s ingular note to my nose. How odd.

I had high hoped for La Petit Mort, but probably because of the name. I couldn't distinguish any particular notes about it, but it was simultaneously sweet and warm, yet it had an acrid bite to it that prevented me from wearing it more than a couple times before I gave up on it. It has moderate staying power and a modicum of throw, but really, it's unpleasant and I'm glad I swapped it to someone who liked it more than I do.

This is nothing but powder on my skin. I can't say any more than that about this utterly boring scent.

As other ladies have said, this smells like Cherry Almond. That is all I smell at first. As it dries down, a light ylang ylang comes out. It really does fade very quickly. Pleasant but boring. I have no clue why they would call this gender neutral.

No ylang ylang or myrrh that I can discern, and its actually very verrry similar to another racily named BPAL creation, "O". This is the soft scent of baby powder mixed on a base of rich honey and rose -- nice, if that's your sort of thing, but its not mine.

Love this one. Very warm, sensual scent. It dries a bit powdery, but I actually like that. Femininity in a vial.

I loved the sound of this but was intimidated by the ylang-ylang, which is never a scent I get along well with. Sure enough, that is what came stridently through on my first test of this. I was upset because I heard this resembled Snake Oil and O and yet this did not even seem in the same family as them. Luckily it morphed after about half an hour into what it is now - a mellow golden powdery scent. I still don't get O or Snake Oil (if anything, it reminds me of Haunted) but I do like it quite a bit. It hasn't captured my heart like O or Old Morocco or Kali but it's still a pleasant drowsy afternoon scent.

On me this smells almost exactly like O, though perhaps a little more compatible with my chemistry. Still, it's mostly honey and that cherry-almond note BPAL likes to use so much, with not enough to counter the sweetness in order to make me want to wear it a lot. I don't want to wash it off either, though, which is more than I can say for some scents. :)

"Seduction, sensuality, the Act, and the aftermath all in one. The scent of warm, damp skin flushed with the glow of passion, touched by the luxuriant potency of ylang ylang and myrrh. (Gender neutral)"
Wet: Very feminine. smells floral and light. But a bit like cheap shampoo
Dry down: more musky and powdery. Fades almost completely in 2 hrs.
Final impression: I've noticed that some of this company's fragrances wear "close to the skin"..meaning you can only smell them when your nose is against the point of application. Once this fragrance has faded, you can only smell it up close...but I *love* how it smells when it's dry. It's smooth, warm and glowing. I absolutely adore BPAL! I'll probably wear this until the sample runs out but won't re-purchase. I prefer scents that last longer and "waft" more (are not as close to the skin). It's very nice but too common compared to the rest of this company's products.
