I bought this at Marshall's for about $5-6 because I liked the idea of having a hair fragrance spray since I smoke and my hair tends to smell like cigarettes afterward (blehh, I know, I know...) Anyway, I also liked the idea of my hair smelling "shampoo fresh" but this spray smells a little too strong, like shampoo perfume. The initial power of the scent does fade (so if you like that fresh and clean soap scent, go for it) but after spraying this, my boyfriend (who is super sensitive to fragrances) won't even go near me because he said I smell like I poured laundry detergent all over my head :( So this is going on my swap list. I plan on trying a hair fragrance called "Sexy Girl Hair Cologne" (from Asia) in Shiny Peach or Paradise Fruity. They seem like they would be more softly scented and wouldn't smell like soap. I prefer fruity scents anyway.

The first time I used this, my boo said I smelled amazing, and demanded that his friend come over immediately and smell me. He too declared the scent a winner, saying--I kid you not--that I smelled like "heaven". Im not much of a "perfume" girl (I hate the thought of being that girl reeking of fragrance,) so this was a new compliment for me. It's quite potent, but the scent itself is remarkably universal, IMO. Clean.

I got 2 bottles for mad cheap at tj maxx ($6ish each?) and would probably pay up to $10 or so, but the msrp of $50 is positively exorbitant. I'll stalk the shelves of tj maxx for replacements when it runs out. That, or no longer smell like heaven. Sigh.

I am a girl that loves to smell clean and like soap. I bought this after hearing about it in a magazine and then sniffing it at Nordstrom's. What a lovely thought that you could give your hair that fresh washed scent with just a spray! Too bad the scent doesn't last longer than a few minutes. So no, I do not recommend this unless you are ok with carrying the bottle around and constantly 'refreshing' your hair with it. The scent is nice but what use is it if I only can smell it within the few minutes after spraying it?! I'll just stick to perfumes and perfumed lotions.

I live in canada and also purchased this at WINNERS (for those of you in the gta they're all over the place) and I couldn't be more pleased. It ran me about 14 bucks which is a steal and its such a fresh soapy shampoo scent! I have very large curly hair and it absorbs scents around me very quickly (food especially) and this is great in between washes. I also use dry shampoo by Oscar Blandi for oil but this cant be beat for scent. I may go back and grab a back up, cause Canadian sephora's dont seem to carry it

I would never pay $42 CDN for it, which I believe is retail price, but I gladly purchased when I found it at Winners for $14.99. I can't wear Clean as a perfume (so synthetic, so cloying), but this is a little gem. It's a softer version of Clean, and ultimately, friendlier. I spray twice into my hair - one on top, and I flip my hair over and spray underneath. It's subtle this way, but has enough impact that when I walk by someone, it's detectable. It's as if I literally just stepped out of a delicious, steaming shower.

This does smell nice, but $39 for it is just crazy!! Stick with your favorite scent & just reapply if you think your hair smells less than freshly washed. No way is it worth the price.

I have chin length hair so I suppose the bottle can last me at least a year or so since around 3 sprays will do the trick after spending an hour in a hot humid foodcourt or fastfood place wif their various food odours. Does not cause any greasiness and in fact it does impart an extra sheen to my hair. A bit expensive but considering that only a little bit is required, very worthwhile still.

Ooh! Being a huge fan of Clean, I must say I love this. Now, listen ladies, I wash my hair everyday. Probably not good, but I'm a subway rider and germaphobe and it must be done. So not that I need to cover up a "smell" or anything so I can't vouch for its odor-absorbing power, but I love the fresh way this spray makes my hair smell! It makes your hair smell like you've just washed it with the world's best smelling shampoo, and the scent has been magically retained by your strands. 3 quick sprays and heads are turning, guaranteed. ;) My bf is obsessed with my hair now, lol.

One lippie off of this object-of-perfection, because it only lasts a few hours. Or maybe, I just get used to the smell. But it smells WONDERFUL. I bought it in a very worth it Clean Gift Set - $49 for the 6 oz. shampoo hair fragrance, the 2.14 oz. Clean Clean Eau de Parfum (my favorite fragrance from the entire collection), and a 2oz. soft body lotion.

Ok, hear this : I received this from (obviously) a generous swapper as an extra, having no idea about the product, and the bottle looks kind of old , thought this is a cheap useless product throwing it in my such stash :) and forgot about it until today when we decided to go out and i had no time for a hair wash ..
a few hours later , this is exactly what my husband says : "you smell like clean fresh linens " (... ) i told him what i used is called "clean shampoo fresh " ..
then i get online and search for it online , find out about it ...wow , thanks to 'mascaraismycrack' again .

*update : I still like this , but the scent can be overwhelming , has been like 24 hours now and it's still lingering.. Having lots of and long hair , i'm used to 15-20 sprays of such products :) note to self, twice will be enough next time ..

I have the Clean hair fragrance as well as the Clean perfume, and the scent works better as a hair freshener. Used as such, the scent seems less citrusy, more like a subtle floral and musk scent.

I find it way overpriced, though. If you have the perfume, you can just add a little of it to a spray bottle with distilled water and the tiniest amount of leave-in hair conditioner. There's not much of a difference.

Clean hair is definitely a good smell, but this is no substitute for the real thing. Yes, it masks odors from bars or wherever you may be pretty well, but a separate hair perfume is something I don't have a lot of need for (I'd rather just spritz a tiny bit of whatever I'm using on my body in my hair). I have and like Clean Sweet Layer and Clean Men (which is actually suitable for both men and women) and this is like a toned down version of either of those. If they made this as a dry shampoo I'd be in heaven, but as a hair fragrance this sees limited use.

I bought this a couple of years ago, and still have it. I use it occasionally when I've been around smoke or if I'm too lazy to wash it to mask any odors. It has a slight fruity, tangy smell to it. It does make your hair a little shinier without leaving it greasy. It doesn't dry the hair at all. So I guess this is an ok product but I rather have a product that neutralizes hair odors as well as make it shine. Instead this adds its own fragrance to the hair. Some may find unpleasant. Others may like. I discovered a couple of days ago Ted Gibson's hair sheets. I will review later on this. ITS THE BEST!!

I love clean scents so when this came out in a spray scent for hair - I had to try it! I love how true it stayed to the clean scent because sometimes you get something hoping it'll smell exactly like the fragrance and it doesn't can be so disappointing, but not this one! I use this for when I go out and afterwards your hair will smell like the smoke from the bars and this masks that perfectly. It is expensive so I use it sparingly.

Love it!! Smell's Great, Kinda Like Downy fabric softener. It's a bit pricey, but a little goes a long way, and the scent lasts a long time (wish their perfumes did) Bought it 3 months ago and still have a little over half left. Get lots of compliments too, from both men and women.

this smells sooo YUMMY!!
I agree with all the positive reviews here,but..
it contains (silk)protein & some hairtypes are sensitive to that.
you can tell that youre proteinsensitive if: you use the product once & have great results. with continued use hair will feel dry & stiff.
thats what i experienced.
a tip is to spray it in dry hair only & by doing this i can use it once a week.
the smell lingers after i rinse my hair!!
did i forget to say that i LOVE this??
I wish they could make a smaller bottle for travelling.

Love it. I use Clean perfume and Clean Sweet Layer, but on days where I have to go lighter on the fragrance, I just use this on its own in my hair. I love getting compliments on how nice my hair smells and this works time after time. The spray nozzle is perfectly designed, and it actually lasts longer than I expected it to. It also makes hair shinier instead of drying it out, because it's alcohol free. My only gripe is that it is pricy, but for something I like this much I'll keep on shelling out the cash for it.

A bit pricey but totally worth it! A stylist recommended this to me for use on days after I deep condition my curly hair. She advises not washing my hair for 48 hrs post treatment, and every other day after so that my curls won't dry or frizz. I was hesitant but tried it. I love it!! My hair smells so "clean" after a use of this that I find myself using it more often than I have to. I don't like the way my hair picks up the smells from a day or night out and this turned out to work wonders. I have long hair about three inches past my shoulders and it takes about three well positioned sprays to refresh my hair. Well done CLEAN. I hope this stays on the market forever.

While this product DOES smell fresh and clean, it's much too expensive at $39 for a 6 oz. bottle. A few spritz on my long hair will last most of the day. I will not repurchase because of the price - I'm sure there's an etailer out there with a cheaper dupe. UPDATE: I've found something much cheaper and equally as good! Check out BissysBoutique.com for her Clean dupe - it's dead on!
