The only thing stopping this from becoming a 5 is the fact that it's so expensive. I use lip pencils instead of lipstick so this ran out pretty fast. Illegal is the only color I own and I love the soft rosy color. It's very creamy and easy to apply!

If you are a broke student like me then I'd suggest Jordana's Rock N' Rose Easyliner for Lips. It's a great dupe.

I havnt used many lip pencils to compare with, but i'll tell u what i thought. Its pricey, its a great colour and consistancy! very nuce and it works with everything, good for a polished look too. I feel like i'm constantly sharpening it tho, but i dont mind that much. I line my lips, then put a clear lip balm (or gloss for more formal occaisons) and it always looks good! (also can be used to create a fuller pout..)
EDIT: upped the lippie's to 4. i'm growing to like this more and more and use it often. nice, natural and nude look. definite repurchase.
EDIT::::: btw, i'm using the colour "illegal" and ive upped the lippies to 5! i wear it almost daily and its the perfect nude lipliner. feather it on and it looks like my lips-only-better. I love it

I just got turned on to Urban Decay Lip Pencils recently & I love it! I bought a UD lip liner in Illegal - perfect nude lip liner - the loveliest nude lip liner I own! This pencil goes with absolutely everything. I've always preferred a nude lip liner to dark colours or pinks. I find I get the best contouring without it standing out like a sore thumb. This pencil glides on like butter with no tugging due to a nice creamy base & yet it stays put! Now you might laugh but this is the nicest creamiest lip liner I've tried of everything high to low end, EXCEPT for Maybelline. I would rank UD & Maybelline lip liner pencils the creamiest pencils with the best results!! I really love this colour though - UD's Illegal. I haven't found such a perfect nude colour of any line in a very long time! I'll be buying this regularly I'm sure! If you haven't tried them - try one, you'll likely be hooked in no time at all! I am! Love this product - TWO THUMBS UP!!! :_)

I have no idea why but urbandecay lip pencils are the ONLY lip pencils that I can put on correctly. Colors are OK. Im just impressed that these go on so well and actually look right on me.

These are really nice. Soft but has grip at the same time. A little less soft and blendable than stila but softer than Mac. But the colour selection, blech. But then again, i don't blame them. Alot of companies make tons of pencils only for them to be ignored and sitting on the shelves bypassed for lipsticks and glosses. I was lucky enough to find 'Fur': Perfect browny w/ slight pink/tawny inside. Beautiful colour and texture. I wear it w/ so many things. GA MSL/S #2, #1. VS Dusk, etc, etc. Basically, i'm wearing it w/ Neutrals. I got it on sale. WOuld i buy it again? I would hope to find it on sale again so i wouldn't have to make that choice. Pretty, pretty packaging.

Gash is also very pretty.

I hate the fact that they don't seel UD stuff in Hong Kong here anymore! I have their lip liner in Lounge and it's like a mauvey-brown shade. It goes well with my lips and is very soft- won't tug. IMO, it's better than MAC's Spice, coz that one seems TOO mude to me, as it disappears and doesn't do it job.

I have this in Roack and adore it as I really prefer wooden lip pencils. Slimmer and shorter than the MAC pencils I have, it's a great brown with a hint of red, a little off from MAC Spice (maybe a little more brown?). It is really easy to use and wears great and really helps my lipstick stay (all brands) - if they had more color selections than the pitiful 6 I saw recently at the site I'd be more apt to buy other colors!

UD's lip pencil is the smoothest I've tried & it does not get cakey. I have Lounge & the UD site describes it as a pink/brown but I see no brown in this. It's quite a bright/hot pink. I have a knock-off, WNW 664B pencil, similiar pink color but not as intense as Lounge. I've also used Midnight Cowboy & it's described as a soft nude. IMO it's a rather dark nude brown, too dark for me. Even though I love the texture I think the color selection is poor & does not accomodate all/most of their lip colors - they are all really dark, except Lounge is kinda bright.
