Why, oh why did I buy TASTE?

It is sticky on application, the scent is a very artificial mess, honestly I couldn’t pick out any note about from a brief burst of vanilla. After half an hour I couldn’t smell anything at all. Huge waste of money.

Scent notes: Tahitian vanilla, white chocolate, coconut cream, and honey.

As soon as this product came into contact with my skin it burned! Even after running it under cold water it still stinged a bit. The smell made me naseous, and I usually love similar types of fragrances.

Will never buy again. Also I'm not usually sensitive to products.

This isn't bad at all....but very light. I purchased this at TJ Maxx for a low price...well it was lower than the original price that this product was sold for. It does have a sweet cotton candy/pink sugar scent to it but it is is so light the fragrance is almost undetectable. I don't use it for the "kissable" properties but I might try it for that purpose sometime soon lol. Anyway, I can see how these products didn't stay on the market because the scent is so light and doesn't last long...too bad. It is also kind of sticky, which feels nasty.

Okay, so I do agree that there is little to no staying power with this scent.. but the scent is lovely! I got it for only $10, so I think of it the way I would a Calgon body mist or something along those lines. Instant yummy scent, but don't expect it to last you throughout the day. I did only give this a 3/5 though - due to the fact that this is supposed to be an EDP and many people bought this at the original, very ridiculous price. I would've been so mad if I bought this at its original price.

I am using this as part of my "dessert" routine.. when I really feel like treating myself. I have a long bath with the juicy bubble bath, get out and put on some sweet butter and juicy or taste body shimmer, get in my pjs and spray the taste EDP on. Honestly I feel like a princess afterwards.. haha. A tip is to spray a bit on your hair or clothes - defeats the purpose of it tasting good on your skin.. but lasts much longer.

I adore this fragrance. It is probably my favorite. It smells sooooooo good!!! I have the perfume and the shimmer powder and I love them both. My only problem is that the "Taste" inscription came right off of the bottle after about a month. Weird.

Hmmm...the Dessert line is (or was, anyway), kind of tricky.I bought alot of the Dessert Beauty & Treats line, & they are truly hit-or-miss, & here's the thing-I can totally see why the line went under, because, let's face it, people-Dessert was ripping us off hugely by charging department store prices for novelty items. That's what these are. These are not Chanel, or Hypnotic Poison, & had no business being sold at such prices. So, on to my review for Taste.I got it for $7.99 at TJ Maxx. For that price, I love it.It smells like coconut-vanilla candy, but lasts for 5 minutes, tops.We all know what these products are for, & that's what they should be used for, not for real scents.Taste was my fave scent out of the Dessert line, by far.Very unique. If you can find it at a clearanced price, I'd say go for it.

This fragrance is great before stepping out the door to go to the gym, run some errands, or going out to someplace casual. I personally hate it when I am working out and someone next to me on a machine is sweating out some heavy musky fragrance (mixed with their sweat) that makes me have to stop my workout on that machine and move elsewhere. This smells of coconut, and a little bit of fruit and flowers. It is subtle, clean, and just makes me feel happy. I bought 2 bottles from TJ Maxx, and saved myself some $$$. Too bad they don't make this anymore. I love it. It energizes me and makes me think of summer all year long.

not impressed at all. i bought this because it was on sale at marshalls for $7 and i'd been wanting to try it when it was sold at sephora at a much higher price. i'm dissapointed, and i wasn't even expecting that much in the first place. this has the worst staying power of any scent i've ever bought. it lasts for literally one minute. the smell is so-so. by reading the description on the box you'd think it would smell sexy and sophisticated, which is not accuate at all. i can't quite place what it smells like but it's not anything in the least "grown-up", which isn't bad, but it's defiently not what i was expecting.
the main reason i bought this was so that when i was with my s.o. and we were enjoying a romantic moment he wouldn't taste something horrible when he kissed my neck, as "normal" perfumes are defiently not anything you want to taste. technically that problem is sloved with this perfume, but the scent is gone so fast!

This is my absolute favorite scent EVER!!! I'm very sensitive to perfumes--- almost all of them give me a headache, so I had given up on wearing perfume until I found this. I can definitely detect vanilla, white chocolate, coconut, and honey in this delicious perfume, and it's so light but still alluring. Love it!

I got this 1.7 oz. fragrance in a swap and all I can say is, too heavy on the coconut. Whew! It smells like $1.99 Banana Boat or Hawaiian Tropic Dark Tanning Oil, for gosh sakes! I was appalled at how heavily concentrated/steeped it was in coconut, b/c the other scents--Tahitian vanilla, for example--sounded really interesting. Bottle is fine to look at, very small (short and thin) container size-wise, but I feel like it can get a little slimy b/c of how greasy the perfume is. In my opinnion, the perfume itself feels a little like Hawaiian Tropic greasy Dark Tanning Oil on skin. It could be body chemistry, but I'm saying that the fragrance even smells like this in the bottle, not just on me. Oh, well.

Bottom line: It smells like a kid's fragrance. If you are looking at this fragrance as compared with adult perfumes, the price point of $45 is quite reasonable. But I see it as a fragrance appropriate for tweens and kids, so in that respect, it should be in the $20 range. I do not recommend to anyone over the age of 11 or anyone who doesn't want to smell like Banana Boat tanning oil.

I recently bought this for fun with the "taste" powder and lip gloss "they were on sale", and I have to say that a lot of people take this line tooo seriously! I think dessert beauty is meant to be a flirty, fun line, and I really enjoy using it that way, and not using it to replace my everyday perfume and so on.. Taste smels sweet and warm, works with my chemistry, and recently has been pretty afordable. I like using this perfume " with both the powder and gloss" for when I wanna be (and feel) extra cute, and I would definitely purchase it again!!

Let me just say that the only reason I purchased this fragrance was because I found it ON SALE! I, like most of you, love the scent. But, it has next to no staying power. The original price of $45 was simply a joke, in my opinion. I figure for the price I paid for it, I can respray it often during the day!!!

TASTE is the best fragrance from the Jessica Simpson line and it smells WONDERFUL..... for 15 minutes. That's my big problem here. For $45 a bottle I want it to last and it just dosen't. Too bad because the smell is so so so good! The other ones (creamy, dreamy) are OK but this one smells the best I tell you.

I tryed this on at Claire's the other day. I love this smell! It's a chocolate and coconut smell. I'm a big fan of sweet smells like this. Mmm! $45 for that little bottle is just crazy though. I'll stick to Tutti Dolci's Chocolate Fondue for a more truer scent similar to this one.

I got a sample of this in a swap recently (Delicious was the scent), and I was surprised at how much I liked it. I typically don't gravitate toward foodish scents, but this one was really nice -- soft vanilla notes, a hint of chocolate, with a kind of spicy coconut kick to it. I don't know that I would use it as an everyday fragrance, but it's definitely something to use for the purpose for which it's marketed. :o) My husband was pleasantly surprised when he kissed me, saying that it was really sweet and delicious. The price is completely outrageous, so I doubt I'll ever buy it, but I answered "yes" to the buy again question simply because I'd love to get some more of this in a swap. Very nice!

Smells G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S! This is definitely for people who loves foody scents. I smell vanilla in this, so I'm guessing it's the main note in Taste. I just spritzed this on an hour ago and I can still smell it... hopefully it'll stay on for more than 2 hours! But so far, I'm lurving it! I don't feel any stickiness at all so that's not a problem for me. This has the potential of becoming my holy grail later on!

Most of the Dessert line is sheer novelty, but I bought this one because it was supposed to be the signature scent, a more sophisticated product, but I was very disappointed. The lack of alcohol in the product ( to make it edible, of course ) makes the product smell cheap and plastic. The taste is so-so, like a vanilla caramel. Do not buy if you are looking for a long-lasting fragrance. If you are looking for bakery smells, try Tutti Dulce from BBW. If you are looking for a novelty edible fragrance, you would be better off going to the "bookstore" if you know what i mean!

I have to agree with everyone who wishes this would last longer, but I will continue to buy anyway. I absolutely love the smell! Most food type fragrances make me nauseous, but this lacks that overly sweet, headache inducing note that soooo many food fragrances have. To solve the "doesn't last long enough" problem, I just toss it in my purse and spritz it on every so often. This may be expensive in the long run, but for right now I'll do it because I am addicted to the smell.
