One of my favorites! I use this product a lot. I am NC40 and it gives me the prettiest highlight above my cheekbones. I also use this lightly over MAC Dollymix blush and the colors mixed are amazing. I do not use this as a bronzer all over my face. Just as a highlight or in place of blush to give me that dewy cheek. A bit expensive but product quality is awesome and will last a long time!

I really like this product after giving it a second try. I am NC45 and I think it is perfect on me. I use it as highlighter to define where the light hits my face. It makes a healthy and shimmery glow that illumates my yellow undertones. I wear it daily and have been asked what kind of bronzer I am wearing. It's a lot of fun to pack on her a night out as well. My sister is darker-not sure of her shade but her skin has red undertones and is a silky dark chocolate. This did NOT look good on her. Looked like she was wearing orange glitter on her face. I probably wont buy it again as it was a gift and entirely too expensive considering there are many other things out there that can do the same.

Gold Deposit is one of my top favorites. Perfect for matte blushes like Melba. I wore this out to dinner and was complimented on how pretty it looked on my skin. It's gives high a golden sheen, makes your shin look wet. I apply this to high points on my face, this looks so pretty on me during summer, looks nice when I wear browns and nutural colors. I know I will have this for along time because you only need a little, besides Golden Deposit stays in competition with Golden Larait. This one is a winner and a keeper.

Age: 44-55   Skin: Combination, Medium   Hair: Brunette   Eyes: Brown

This is a lovely warm, glowy orange bronze shade and looks beautiful when applied LIGHTLY on the cheeks over a warm blush or when it is used as a highlighter. But the worst thing you can do with Gold Deposit is to use a moderate to heavy hand because you will end up looking like a gold disco ball! I made that mistake because I hadn't seen much of a bronzer effect, i.e., the brown tones were very subtle so I didn't think I had applied enough to my NC35 skin. Whoops! I got a glimpse of myself and saw that my cheeks looked like they had been rolled in a glitter factory! I guess that is fine if you want to look like a bronzed statue, but not if you want to look like a normal person.

Even so, I love the glowy effect that GD imparts. I just have to remember to use a light hand.

quite a few years ago when i first got into mac an SA said this product was good.....i thought ok I'll buy it......I found it the other day, and it really is a waste of money, i try and use it above my cheek bones as a highlight or mix it with my matte blush to make it shimmer. you have to have the right brush to apply it otherwise it goes on patchy and falls into the pores. If you dont put it on the right part off you face you look ill or have very puffy cheek bones. Im an NC50 doesnt look amazing, but ok...thinkit would look better on olive or NC45 ish tones...also to much and you look like a glitterball.

This is the first msf that I have gotten and I really like it. I use it as a highlighter but the other day I realized that I could use it as a bronzer too-with a really fluffy brush. This product makes me want to get more msf's.

I love this product. I think a lot of the bad reviews on this are from people who don't have the right skin tone to pull this off and people who are using it the wrong way. It is NOT, I repeat, NOT a bronzer or a setting powder (way too shimmery to be used as either of those). When used properly, and on the right complexion, this adds the most gorgeous bronzey high light to the skin. 'Gold Deposit' is best used as a blush or high lighter. This even works great as eye shadow! 'Gold Deposit' on the lids with a deep mocha in the crease is very hot. But ladies, be aware that if you're very fair/cool complected, this is not the shade for you. I think that this is best suited for tan to medium brown complexions (for reference, I'm about an NC40).

This product is lovely to use alone as blush (especially in the summer months, it looks amazing when it catches the sun light!), or even layered over a matte blush (especially peachy/coral shades) to add a glow. Sometimes I apply MAC's 'Peaches' blush, then apply 'Gold Deposit' very sparingly over it (or just skimming the tops of my cheek bones). Gorgeous combo!

And applying this product sparingly is key. A little goes a VERY long way. Apply too much and you'll look like an Oompa Loompa with a face full of obnoxious sparkle. I would describe this shade as a warm orangey brown (true bronze really) with golden shimmer.

But like I said, avoid this product if you're super fair or cool, and always apply it sparingly (many people like to use stippling brushes to apply this since it distributes the product minimally).

And to comment on MSFs in general, I love them! They are buttery soft, blend like a dream, and pick up on a brush well. They may seem pricey, but you do get quite a bit of product for your money, and like I said, a little goes a long way so they last forever.

While this isn't my absolute favorite MAC Skinfinish, i DO love it because on my MMM/NC42 skintone, it's definitely versatile. This SF really works well over coral/peach blushes, or even brown ones to add a bit of shimmer/sparkle. It's not as finely milled as most of the other skinfinishes I have, and tends to be a bit more gritty in texture, but the final result is a nice pop of bronzey gold sparkle, that with a light hand, just lights up my face and adds a pretty glow. Overall, a good SF to have if you're warm toned. I can't see this working too well on fair/cool-toned girls. A winner for the most part in my stash though!

I love this product although there are better high lighters out there this is a bronzer also a little goes along way so if you are looking oranage maybe you are applying to much.

I also apply this to my eyes and find its amazing if you are on the run then one product for eyes and cheeks i also find that i do not have to reapply it during the day.

Would I buy this product again you ask... hell yeah! If I could I would bathe in it! It may look a bit garish in the jar, a bit loud, a bit... unrealistic, but actually this summer it's all I have been wearing on my cheeks. The SA actually applied this all over my face and it gave me a great bronzed glow, but I don't have the guts to apply it so liberally myself.
I don't use it as a bronzer, a highlighter or contour colour; for me it's a blush. I tend to start with a coral/orange blush like Peaches or Melba, and then dust/stipple this over the top. For a more natural finish I'll use a large face brush and if I want concentrated colour I'll use my 187 or my 116 blush brush. Either way the bronze particles in Gold Deposit add an amazing warmth, whilst the gold brightens my face and despite what you may think when you see this product - it brings no overpowering glitter or unnatural shine. I love how it looks great on even the most cloudiest day and with almost any outfit.
Any owner of a Skinfinish will know that the quantity of powder you buy will last you for time, and I cannot think of a single product which mixes browns and golds together like this Skinfinish does. The colour lasts all day on me without fading/changing.
Overall it's surprisingly a very pretty, unique and wearable colour and a perfect addition to my already overflowing vanity case!

I am so glad I purchased this product, I reach for this everyday. I like to apply a little bit of this over my blushes to get a nice glow on my cheeks, it looks so pretty. While I think it's not a must-have product, if you are obsessed with blushes, highlighters, etc. then you will love this product.
I definitely don't see the chunks of glitter like everyone has mentioned, I apply this with my 187 brush and blend it very well and no glitter, just a nice shimmer and also, this is NOT a bronzer! If you use this as a bronzer you will look like a glitter mess! I apply a small amount of this on my cheeks and it gives you a nice glow, NOT all over your face as you would a bronzer.

I wish I had read reviews on here before I bought this, but you live and you learn. This is, to date, my biggest makeup mistake. I was a young college student at home for spring break when I decided to go to my mac counter as a way to help me get over the fact that I wasn't going on a proper vacation. When I went to mac I told one of the makeup artists that I wanted a bronzer. She handed me this. I'm NC50 and it is very difficult for me to find a bronzer. By bronzer, I mean something that will make me look sunkissed and darker. All Gold Deposit does is make my cheeks look glittery. I tried for years to make this work and it still sits in my makeup box barely used. I don't know why anyone would spend nearly $30 on a product with barely any pigment and thick glitter that never blends. If any WOC is thinking about buying this, think again. Just get a Cover Girl Queen bronzer and call it a day.

I didn't really like this MSF - I found it far too orange and glittery on my NC37 skintone. I prefer the Comfort MSF to this one as it was not as glittery but still gave an orangey bronze glow. This is just straight up orange glitter and instead of adding warmth to my face, it just gave frostiness.

I used to love this product, there is definitely nothing much wrong with it. I used to wear it all the time, now I just lightly dab it all over my face to just give my face a slight bronze look. However, when comparing this colour to the actual bronzers, I loved the bronzer colours much better than this. I would use this as a bronzer, but it's more orange than bronze, and sometimes I found it was a little heavy and dark looking, but that may just be because I have a fair-medium skin tone. I'm going to continue to use this product when I need to, but I won't buy it again just because I prefer the bronzers better.

Ooh I love this! Applied very lightly in the right places, this makes my cheekbones pop out. I put it on my cheekbones, under my brow, and on my collarbone and it is just perfect. There is a bit of glitter that shows when you are in bright sunlight, but in normal lighting it just gives a glowy warmth. I am NC40+ depending on the season, and this is always my go to highlighter. Do I dare say this is my HG? Time will tell.
