I actually just tried this shampoo bar randomly after visiting family and seeing it resting in my cousin's bathroom. Hence, I decided to try it. At the time, I was going through a phase where I was trying to decrease the amount of times I washed my hair - I used to wash my hair everyday but due to this, it was making my hair and scalp very oily.

So every 3-4 days, sometimes 5 days, I used this shampoo bar to wash my hair. I think this shampoo bar is actually quite good for oily hair because it's pretty clarifying and to be honest, drying to the hair. I am surprised by how clean my hair looks and feels after using this shampoo bar despite how using a shampoo bar does create a little less foam than using liquid shampoo and how I only really washed my hair once a week at the time. I have thick hair naturally and the volumising properties of this shampoo bar didn't bug me because it got rid of excess oils in my hair which is what made my hair flat.

Since then, I've been using another Lush shampoo bar (Godiva) because I got my hair dyed blonde since using Seanik, so I thought a more moisturising and nourishing shampoo bar would be better. There's still plenty of shampoo bars I wanna try, so I'm not too sure about purchasing Seanik, but once summer rolls around and my hair gets even oilier, I'll likely turn back to this!

Overall, this shampoo bar is great if you want to get rid of oily hair/scalp. I probably wouldn't use it everyday though because it might be *too* drying and actually make your hair produce more oil! But I don't know for sure because I didn't use Seanik everyday. Either way, I recommend this to anyone who has oiliness on their head!

Lathers up very quickly on wet hands. I got enough foam for my whole head after rubbing it 3-4 times between my hands. Smells subtle and hair feels fresh after wash. Good buy!

LOVE. It last super long if let it dry after use and take it out of the shower. Gives my long thick hair a fresh feeling. The smell is nice and you get a lot of product for your money. Perfect for traveling.

I use this shampoo almost daily. I have fine, but not very thin, blond, wavy hair. my hair also gets oily very quickly. If you have naturally dry hair I wouldn't advise using this shampoo. This shampoo makes my hair feel thicker and keeps it oil free longer. I also like the smell and it is fun to use. I use this shampoo and then a little bit oof conditioner just on the ends of my hair.

I love Lush's solid shampoos- the no-packaging concept is great and for me, they last about as long as a bottle of shampoo. I've had my current puck for almost two months with washing about every other day, and I think I can stretch another month out of it. It's a little pricier than the drugstore shampoos that I normally buy, but compared to Lush's bottled shampoos, I think they are a steal. This is sort of like their solid version of Big! Shampoo, which is twice as much.

Anyway, on to Seanik specifically. As I get older, my hair seems to get finer and finer. Seanik gives my hair a little more volume and texture. I have short hair and use a lot of waxy product in my hair to style it. I feel like Seanik really gets your hair nice and clean, and leaves it healthy and shiny once its dry. But really, I think I might keep going back to this shampoo over others at Lush because it smells really great!

I really like the solid LUSH shampoos. They are easy to use, roll in hands like a bar of soap then massage the lather into your hair. It's important to keep them dry. LUSH have reusable tins you can buy, but you can use anything you want.

This one is my go-to for a deep clean, when I want to remove any product build up or it's been a couple of days between washes. It leaves my hair squeaky clean. I definitely need to use a conditioner after this. It has a slightly citrus, seaweed smell which doesn't last very long after I rinse it out.

Love this for a clarifying shampoo for my fine, thin hair. I learned that it should be used as that for myself, a clarifying shampoo. If I use too much, it will dry out my already damaged hair, which is not something that I want to do. I love LUSH's shampoos and this is just another one that I have stored in a container in my shower.

I wanted to note, that I also use this as an alternative to the BIG shampoo, which will also dry out your hair if you are not careful. I noticed that after using it more than once a week, my hair was drier and more brittle, so I reserve that shampoo for night out hair and have substituted Seanik for my clarifying shampoo. Also, make sure when using either of the previously mentioned shampoos, you use a good conditioner afterwards to keep the moisture balance in your hair. This particular product is great for the price and does what it says it will. You will get so much use out of it, and it is great for travel!

I also wanted to say that although they sell the containers to store the shampoo bars in, I have found that my own small tupperware container works better. It is easier to seal and it also keeps the bar in better shape. The tin not so much. You may also want to think about letting the bar dry on the container lid first on your bathroom counter and once it's dry putting it in the container with the lid on. Another way to lengthen the life of the bar.

I LOVE this product! I have oily thin flat hair, So shampoos that leave residue and my natural oils combined is HORRIBLY flat! Seanik is perfect for oily thin hair in my opinion! I don't think it would be that great for thick hair because it might make it have TOO much volume! Smells awesome, and makes my hair whimsical, big, and CLEAN! I don't think I'll ever use another shampoo!

I purchased this bar after using the "New" lush shampoo bar on a long trip. I really like that one and was going to repurchase it, but thought why not try the Seanik bar as it also received positive reviews. After trying Seanik, I've come to the conclusion that this one and New are pretty much the same. Like, I don't think I could tell the difference if I tried both while blindfolded. The scents of each are different, but I like both. Seanik smells a bit more fresh and light as opposed to new which is kind of spicy. The lady at Lush told me that New is supposed to promote hair growth, which scientifically speaking I'm not sure if it will...while she said that Seanik is good to add volume and shine to hair. The lady asked me when my hair type is, and I have pretty normal, straight hair. As I don't have too many issues with hair, she said I could probably just pick which shampoo I liked the smell best and it would work fine (but I picked Seanik as I was intrigued by the good reviews). I didn't notice a difference between either of them. My hair felt the same during and after showering. Maybe if you had a very different hair texture than me, you would find a difference, but I really didn't. I really like the Lush shampoo bars and will keep using them, and I'll probably try all of them just to see if there is any difference between the lot. The benefits of shampoo bars have been stated already many times (and in me New review) so I'll leave it at this!
