It provides medium coverage and it feels light, which makes it suitable for daily use. It tends to dry fast, so everytime I pump out just a small amount and use a brush to apply it. I find the effect quite natrual once settled.

But it doesn't keep my face matte much longer than other foundations for oily skin. Max 4 hours then it inevitably shines.

I'd probably not recommend it as it doesn't really keep oily face matte. But I may probably repurchase it since it's lighter than other oil free foundations and more suitable for daily use.

I have no idea why but I kept going back to this foundation.
It was one of the first foundations that I had growing up, and only now I realise that it's not that great!

Staying power? None.
Oil control? None.
Price? Bad.
Conveniently available: Definitely not.

We had good times, but there were more bad times than anything.

I brought this foundation on a whime. I needed to get something before I went out that night and just gotten tanned meant that I didn't have a foundation that matched my skin.I generally love the body shop products and the way they go on.I brought this last summer when I was tanned and its still a bit dark, But that was my fault buying it while I was rushing. The colour isn't my problem with it.

I don't like the way the foundation applies to the skin. Once on the skin it's very hard to blend and I have to keep buffing quite hard in order to make sure it doesn't streak. I have combo to oily skin and to make sure it doesn't move I need to set it but even when I do do that I still get oily and transfers onto everything. It's a light coverage foundation which I do not like. I like medium to full coverage. In summer this foundation isn't good, it slides off at any sign of heat. I have to be careful on how I wipe my face or even touch it because it will come off and leave my face blotchy from where I have touched it. Nothing I do makes it set and not transfer

While wearing the foundation for a couple of days in a row during this summer I started seeing little bumps upon my forehead. I have acne prone skin that is quite sensitive but I hardly get anything in my forehead ever. They are not quite pimples. This is very weird for my skin to react like this. It usually reacts in large amounts of pimples. This is the only foundation that does this.

The lasting power of this foundation is only a could of hours at the most by wearing it by itself. Maybe if you don't wear a lot of make up this could be great and don't have oily skin but otherwise you will be a oily mess. It says oil free but yet I still get oily. Can't figure that one out. I now use this foundation to mix it in with my revlon whipped foundation which gives me more coverage and matches my tanned body perfect but that's the only way I'm going to use this foundation up.

I used it as a light concealer for acne for some time. Used a fair yellowish colour N01 and just patted it in with fingers. Wasn't too bad, at least It didn't cause any breakouts. Wouldn't be good as a foundation because it generally highlights flakes/dryness. Also it's not antibacterial and doesn't help with acne.
So, it's not a good product for combination skin with oily t-zone and dry cheeks.

Proper way to apply it is WITH A BRUSH! As with all thick, full-coverage, matte (usually dries faster so it's harder to blend) foundations, the trick to a flawless natural finish- and also the easiest way- is to apply it with a brush. This is one of those products. Do not even try to apply it with your fingers because you will find that it's hard to blend and that it streaks. Use a full, dense, nicely packed bristles buffing brush (dome shaped is best but flat top would work as well).
This foundation is amazing! It really is full coverage- it covers everything without having to use a concealer. It is VERY matte (so best recommended to oily skin- you'll find it drying if you have dry skin)- and if applied correctly you can get such a beautiful looking finished skin. I love that it's oil-free. It's breathable, it feels light and not too heavy, and- if applied correctly- it is not cakey! It looks very natural on my skin. I have very acne-prone skin and oily skin, and this foundation does the trick. It's best if you use a primer underneath. It works with the Body Shop Matte It Primer for a very matte finish overall. When the weather is cold and my skin gets a little dry with too much matte product, I use Laura Geller's Spackle Under Makeup Primer which is more hydrating. Highly recommended!

I must say, I am quite surprised to how many people have had a negative comment towards this foundation!
Personally, I felt this foundation was very good! It does not look as good when you first apply it, but it looks really nice when it settles.. However, this is one of those foundations that should be applied with a foundation BRUSH because it is a thick foundation. When I apply it... 6 hours later my skin still looks glowing.
Although, it's probably not that good to use if your skin in not oily!

My skin is just too oily for this oil-free product. It doesn't feel light when I apply it and though the colours match well to my skin it smudges off and clings to my pores. Unfortunate.

I really like the packaging of this product, because of the pump that lets you control how much product you want to use. But that is all I liked. The foundation turns orange on me, and I look like an orange. When I apply it, I have to work very quickly, since it dries in a split second. I can't even take my time applying it nicely, can't use a stippling brush nor can I seem to blend it nicely... Maybe it's just me but I don't like the product.

The colour recommended to me was too orange for my skin! I got it when my skin was covered in acne and I was using antibiotics and BP. This just accentuated all the bumps and the flaky dry skin and didn't do much for acne...but I don't think it caused any either. It was easy to blend but had a very matte finish...I like a more natural look so won't be getting this again. HE foundations work better on my sensitive skin.

Works well as a general base...matte finish so not great if your skin is dry/peeling. Definitely apply a moisturizer first and maybe a bronzer with a glow over it...if you want to avoid dry/cakey.

Also, you have to work quickly...it's not emollient enough to keep blending since it dries quickly.

Overall, good basic foundation.

I was really looking forward to trying this foundation and had high hopes that it would keep my skin matte and oil free. I am very pale and purchased this foundation in the lightest shade. I applied it with a brush and had to work quickly to blend it as it dries very fast, which is understandable for an oil free foundation. However, what i was disappointed with was the orange colour it left me. So unfortunately another foundation destined to sink to the bottom of my make up bag!

After buying this product and loving it i am so surprised by the negative reviews here. I have mild acne, and this provides fantastic, long-lasting coverage and i have received many comments on how good my sin looks when using this. BUT- DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT UNLESS YOU HAVE OILY SKIN !!! it will not, as i was told by the sales lady, work well. I have seen people here with dry skin disliking this product - i don't know about you but i read a guide / brochure on their products and it said quite clearly for oily skin only !!! I will definitely repurchase this product :)

I didn't like this foundation at all. It was recommended in a magazine for oily skin and I thought I would try it. I liked the pump which made it easy to get the right amount. It didn't spread very well though. I first started to put it on with my finger and at first thought it was ok. Then I saw a photo of me with it and it looked like I had no make up on at all and made my skin look horrible. I then started use a sponge to put it on which was an improvement but if you put more than one layer (which gives no coverage) it becomes a horrible orange colour! Loads of people were telling me that I had some orange stuff on my face which was humiliating. Would never buy it again.

i hate this foundation!!! it's really hard to apply and blend in, leaving streaks all over your face. the colour is also so bad it makes you look like an orange euggh.i also thought the coverage was quite bad, doesnt cover faint blemishes. However the price isn't bad and it has a pump so it's easy to dispense. But i wouldn't buy this again just because it's that ORANGE!!!

I have oily skin and live in a very humid country. So I don't expect this- or any foundation- to stay on and mattify forever. That said, this holds up wonderfully when used over my daily routine of a mattifying moisturizer and smoothing primer. If I use a layer of sunblock under the primer, it's bound to get oily quickly--inevitable, really, even with a water-based sunblock.

Likes: slight golden iridiscence that is only obvious up close, can be applied with a smattering of the fingers over the face, shade 03 matches my NC20 skintone, dries to matt finish, spf 30.

Beware:
-Dried out the skin around my eyes--looked like I had bad eczema on the sides of my nose. Now I avoid that area.
-Depending on what concealer you put on top of this, it can settle into the pores and make them more obvious.

UPDATE: There are much better foundations out there with matte or semi-matte finishes, that set much better than this one. Such as Bourjois Healthy fruit (apricot-scented) and Estee Lauder Doublewear. Would not repurchase now that I've found better.

This product is not fit for my oily skin as it turns yellower troughout the day. I have experienced that when I wear this foundation on a hot day, it will look like it is melting, and after a short period the consistency turns from fluid to drier, which makes it diffucult to apply. I would not recommend this to anyone.

I agree. It settles into your pores, and makes your pores look highlighted. It is matte but isn't suitable in the summer as it slides over your skin and ends up botchy, there really is no other better way to see it except through photographs where the effect is clearer.

I really like this foundation. I have previously used the Body Shop's moisture foundation and I loved the way it felt and how easy it was to apply, but recently my skin has become oilier and I thought this would suit my skin type better. I was a bit skeptical at first, as I thought it might be a bit more dry and harder to blend in, but it actually feels just as nice as the moisture foundation. It has pretty good staying power, I do get a bit oily after quite a few hours of wearing it but that will happen with any foundation for me, and it is only slight so its not a big deal. I've used my fingers and the Body Shop foundation brush to apply it, and it worked pretty well both ways however there was a smoother finish with the brush, as my fingers left a few marks. Used under the Body Shop nature's minerals foundation it gave me a nice colour without turning orange, and lasts for quite some time. Packaging is perfect.
