I loved looking in the ads for essie, they always have great color collections, and look so vibrant. I have learned though, that essie's formula seems very watery compared to OPI or Sally Hanson. I hate the watery formula.. I first got Essie, in "ballet slippers" and "madamoiselle".. both were very watery looking, and hard to get good color payoff from either of them... I thought it was just the whiteish pinks, but then I got "nice is nice" and a few others,.. same thing!! forget this! I can get better colors from OPI or ORLY... they are much better quality!

I thought that Essie was a quality brand, so I bought a base coat, a few colors of nail polish, and a top coat. When I removed my nail polish, I noticed that my nails had turned yellow! I was disgusted, but I still kept using it because my nails looked good with nail polish on. After a few months, the skin around one of my nails became red and swollen, and the nail separated from the nail bed. I had to go see a dermatologist. He told me that the formaldehyde resin in the nail polish was known to cause redness and swelling and that this irritation had caused the nail to separate from its bed. He gave a cream to apply and told me that it would take months for the irritation to go away. Months have passed, and the irritation has subsided a little bit. However, my nail and the skin surrounding it still look damaged. It looks like my nail is never going to attach to its plate again. Obviously, I have stopped using Essie products, and I don't recommend them to anyone.

This is the best other than Poi. This is high class and good quality and is used in nail salons by professionals, I love this braqnd and i have a whole collection of them. They are awesome. The pink curve ball is my favorite type.

Nice color- medium slightly (very slightly) purplish shimmery pink. I see that another reviewer has compared this to UD Hotpants, one of my all-time favorite glosses, and I must politely disagree- this is darker than Hotpants, and Hotpants is much more shimmery. Lovely color though, and perfect on my toes for spring. Would work on tips too, it's not too loud.

Part of the new Italian food collection! What a great shade. If you are familiar with UD Hotpants Lip Gunk...this is a great match. A really pretty soft, but medium-tones shimmery pink. Think a few shades deeper than the MAC Silly Lipglass Stain. So pretty!
