I wanted to buy this lipstick because I really like the juicy tube line, but I simply hate this lipstick. It doesnt fix well, its very expensive and the colour fades away too easily. The gloss the cames along with the product is so smutty... Argh.

Also dont give a nice coverage, its hard to use because its a hard lipstick that doesnt make an uniform colour on the lips.

Dont waste your money buying it.

(Forgive me about my bad english, but Im not from USA or England :))

This product doesn't wear nearly as long as drugstore brands, so it's certainly not worth the price! I also don't like that the color and the gloss are packaged separately; it's just not very convenient. This product also is much more drying to the lips than other long-wearing lipsticks I've tried. Don't waste your money.

Ugh, I wanted to like this so much. First of all, the smell is unpleasant (very strong, "old lady" type fragrance). Second, the color selection is very limited (although Pink Crave, a peachy color, is pretty). Third, it didn't seem to be that long-lasting. My Revlon ColorStay Overtime lasts longer. The good news is that the gloss is pretty, and that when it fades it does so very gradually. Still, would not repurchase.

I love lanome juicy wear. My first was chestnut fantasy and since then I've bought candy apple, bronze honey, pink gourmand, and playful beige...all of which I LOVE!!! After reading other responses I have a few recommendations. When applying this lipstick do not apply too much product. Apply the lipstick with quick strokes, one coat...let it dry...then do the second coat and let it dry a minute before applying the glossy topcoat. This will make the lipstick stay...and not cake and crust off. Also, a lip conditioner is a must at night because the lipsticks are drying. I love the formula and consistency and even mix my colors together for different shades and have had no trouble making them last without touchup for 8 hours which is amazing!

Weird, weird product. You really have to know how to use this product i guess. lately i was in the car doing on the lipstick, quite a lot plus the (weird) gloss, a while later my lips started to feel really weird and i looked in the mirror and i see my mouth full of dried out cracked lipstick. it looked like bright lightpink (lightest pinkshade) dried up sperm! eww! and the problem was, i couldnt get it off! now only wear it with without the weird ass gloss, its just that i fall for the shade (the lightest pink) the only good thing about it is that its kissproof!

This review is for the new Juicy Wear SHEER lipsticks. Lancome has introduced a new product to it's long-lasting lipstick collection, Juicy Wear Sheer, which promises "extreme wear" with a sheer tint of color. I'm a fan of long-lasting lipsticks - especially Lancome's - but my biggest gripe has been twofold: too drying and the colors always seem too strong. Well, these Juicy Wear Sheer lipsticks REALLY PERFORM on all counts. Lancome has hit on a great formula - truly long-lasting with a wonderful consistency. My lips stayed moist and the color was sheer. Here's the problem: the colors! Good Lord are they BRIGHT - all of them! You could see my lips enter the room several minutes before the rest of my body! I'm talking NEON! If Lancome could just tone down the colors, it would have a true winner - a miracle product!!

I agree with the last reviewer about the top coat. I bought this in hot valentine like 8 months ago and loved the shade (orangey-red) but was VERY disappointed with the wear, most of the lipstick seemed to come off within an hour! I was uber pist because the lipstick cost SO FRIGGING MUCH! I stopped using it, but did not throw it away. Then...I discovered loreal endless kissable shinewear which lasts way longer. One day, I decided to put on hot valentine with the endless kissable shinewear top coat and (YAY) it worked beautifully, and stayed put! So the lancome top coat sux but the lipstick wears very well with loreal's topcoat, so... i would buy more juicy wear because they have great shades, but for 34 canadian dollars plus tax, you should not have to use some other brand's top coat! Shame on you, lancome..Your colors rock but Improve that topcoat!!!

Aside from the fact the top coat of gloss seems to make this lipstick less durable, when used alone it lasts fine. The texture is like other lasting lipsticks, maybe a little smoother on application, but rather drying. It has a weird scent to it that is almost unpleasant.

I have this in Flaming Sangria (2005 x-moose colour, bright red infused with red glitter). I'd like to try some other colours.

I usually am not a sucker for pricey (over $20) makeup but i loved the idea of this long lasting lipstick that won't budge. Plus, to me it was kind of like buy the lipstick, get the lip gloss free =) I used to not wear my lipsticks that i had because all i do all day is drink water, coffee, etc so i figured "what's the point? it's going to come off anyway!" but this lipstick stays put! it goes on really smoothly when you first apply it which i love. and the gloss (the seal and shine top coat) isn't as shiny as the ads but it feels very good on the lips and have a great shine to them. Plus it's not sticky at all. i do have to apply the top coat more than once but then again, i drink a lot of stuff throughout the day. i got the sweet nude which i wear almost everyday because it's such a nice neutral shade (not too brown, washed out looking or anything) and i would definetly buy that again. i also got the chestnut fantasy but it's so dark on me that my husband says i look goth. (that's no good). you can skip putting on lip liner also when you have this on so sometimes i just a different gloss on to make the color a little different. i'm not sure how the l'oreal long lasting wear lipstick is but maybe i'll try that next time i'm running low on my juicy wear.

Of all the long lasting lipsticks out there, this one is definitely the most foolproof. It is also the most moisturizing. It does not stay on as long as some of the others, but then again, it does not have the tendency to flake, clump, or wear off in spots like others do. I love the tube of gloss this comes with, but by the same token, don't like the fact that the gloss is in a separate tube.

Overall, this is a great product. My favorite color is Spicy Cinnamon. One thing I noticed about these is that they don't look anything on your lips like they look in the tube. So if you visit the counter, make sure to try them all.

I also have this in Pink Gourmand-RIS-it's very pretty but not for me for a daily wear. Going out wise it will be wonderful!

The price...eh. But I have a feeling this will last FOREVER. They need to do something about the gloss situation...like sell the tubes separately or something.

GREAT! BUT, you have to apply as directed. Can't have any lip balm residue before application. Apply color (I bought Candy Apple) and it must dry for 60 seconds. You can use the gloss it comes with it or anything else including Chapstick! Basically it's a temporary dye. Color lasts for many hours and not drying. Be sure to close the lipstick case after use. It's prone to drying out, making it too dry to use and makes it smell bad.

I wanted this to work--I really did. However, it doesn't stay any longer than a regular lipstick. A $7 Lipfinity lasts much longer than this. I have thi product in Sweet Nude, Playful beige and Chestnut Fantasy. At first I thought they were defective because at the first dab of a napkin most of the color came off!! I actually returned them and got three new ones. These come right off, too. Make my lips SUPER DRY. The colors are lovely and I love the glossy top coat. However, for $25 I expected this to stay on more than an hour and make it through at least one meal.

I also reviewed this under the "Pink Gourmand" color...

I was hesitant to try this because I've had really bad experiences with long-lasting lipsticks... but, I have to say that I'm really glad I bought this!

The color is medium cool-toned pink... not baby pink, but not fuschia, either. It's really pretty, and the lipstick itself doesn't go on too matte. I don't think it feels drier than a regular, non-lustre MAC lippie, or a non-sheer Lorac lippie.

Anyway, I wouldn't say that it lasts ALL day (maybe like 5 or 6 hours, but it looks freshly applied in those 5-6 hrs), but definitely a very long time. I probably applied the gloss shine every 2 hours or so, just to maintain that glossy look. Like other reviewers, I wish that they offered the gloss coat on its own.

What I like BEST about this is that it doesn't flake off your lip. The prob I had with CoverGirl Outlast and Max Factor Lipfinity, and even sometimes Revlon Overtime, was that the color was very heavy, and once it started to go away, it would "break off" of my lips in chunks! Soooo gross! The Juicy Wear at least fades away gradually.

I would definitely buy again, if they came out with more colors. The color selection is pretty limited, and with what they have now, I don't think I could find anything that would be that flattering for me. Also, it's pretty expensive ($25USD) a pop.

Not crazy about this. Even with gloss topcoat my lips crinkled up really dry - all I could think of was deep fried wonton skins. The gloss wore off quickly, the colour did stay, but ... don't like it, can't recommend it. Shame, the colour was good - I think it says 378 - it's the candy apple red I think was featured in the advert.

I have this in Chestnut Fantasy. It is much darker than I thought when i saw the sample in the store, on me it's like a dark rosy brown, but i'm really impressed with its staying power. I put it on at 8 in the morning and at 8 at night it's still on, even after eating and drinking! I have to re-apply the gloss twice during the day but after i do it looks like i just put on fresh lipstick. Smells nice too. I just wish they had more colours to choose from, otherwise it's a great lipstick, worth its price.

Well, I've only worn this twice so far but I am surprised at the more recent negative reviews! I find the lipcolour to glide on seamlessly, evenly. I do not find it chalky at all- it does dry, but that's kind of the point. If you are looking for an ultra matte look, try this without the gloss (I did this and didn't notice any unusual wrinkling). I think the application is important- smooth even strokes are best (and use a light hand, the product is blendable for just a few seconds after applying before it dries completely). I have this in Sexy Plum and it is gorgeous, and will go back for Dirty Pink as well. The gloss is quite nice- but then I really can't stand gooey smearing lipglosses. This moisturizes well, adds a little extra dimension to the lipcolour and you can always apply a second helping for more gloss. Honestly if it looked like the Ad I wouldn't have purchased it- it is much more subtle and wearable than on the billboards imo.

VILE! Terrible texture, cakey, chalky, heavy. I felt like I had just put plum colored cement on my lips. Every single wrinkle in my lips showed up, and my lips felt like they were suffocating. The gloss for shine wasn't worth a damn. Dreadful product. God, I wish I had returned it. I love my MUA girls too much to swap this, it's going in the garbage.
