LOVE THIS! I use this just on the days I wear makeup though. It takes off all my makeup wonderfully! It's a thick consistency you can lather up. I have no complaints about it!

I typically pick these up in bulk when I visit Taiwan. This is my favorite night time cleanser (I use an acne face wash during the day). It gets off stubborn makeup, is really gentle and foams up well, doesn't have an awful scent, and doesn't leave my face feeling tight afterwards. I usually use Shiseido's Sun Protection foundation which is hard to remove. To get my face clean after using hard foundation, I pair Perfect Whip with Perfect Oil. I should also mention that I have combination skin and break out easily due to sensitive skin. I've been using this moisturizer for years and have been very happy. Haven't ran into any problems or irritation at all. Highly recommended.

I'm a skin care junkie and have tried various different brands to find the right one that can help clean my face without leaving a residue or making my face feel tight. I can finally say that I've found my cleanser in the Perfect Whip. I searched the internet and found some good reviews and then decided to try it out myself. I picked it up at a local beauty store that sells Japanese products and was surprised that it was cheap. Around $10USD. That's a pretty good deal for some good face wash.

The face wash foams up pretty quickly and using a small dab can go a long way. The smell is nice and it leaves your face feeling squeaky clean (which I personally like). After drying, I can tell that my skin is soft and clean without having that tightening feel on my face.

Overall, I loved this cleanser! The price is great, it does the job and it does it well. This will be my go-to cleanser from now on!

I don't like this product. It's just like any other drugstore foaming cleanser to me, kind of drying and harsh, with a strong soapy smell. It produces a rich foam though.

Perfect Whip lathers very well. Using the tiniest amount one can produce so much foam. This uses a technology that creates micro bubbles that supposingly clean deeper into pores. It does not reduce my blackheads or anything.
The best part of this cleanser is that when I apply the foam on my face spreading is very smooth. This minimizes the irritation due to friction. However, when I rinse it off I get the squeaky clean feel which isn't good. Why would I want a residue that prevents me from rinsing well through friction?
I also need to be careful with the amount I use as if I use the same amount as I did for other cleanser it will dry me out. This cleans sunscreen off reasonably well and does not cause acne for me. Fragrance is mild. Due to the risk of drying me out and squeaky clean feel I rather use other cleansers.

Ahhh-mazing. I use this alone in the morning, and after Softymo Deep Cleansing Oil in the evening for a squeaky clean face. The lather is SUPER luxurious, and a little goes a very long way. Even my boyfriend, who has zero interest in products of any kind, steals this from me and comments on it every time.

After using this then wiping toner on my face, there is not a speck of dirt on the cotton pad. I'm not sure if this foam has any real therapeutic or treatment benefits, but OCD ladies like myself will love the totally clean feeling it imparts.

Get it on Amazon or in larger Asian markets.

One of the best foaming cleansers that I've tried. Brought it for an extremely affordable price while I was in Japan for a holiday. The product is very thick but works well when you have a damp face. A little goes a long way, the product will last a long time. After I wash it off my face feels more clearer and fresh :D

I bought the Perfect Whip and Perfect Milk to a week ago. I was using the Milk for the last few days as it can double up as a makeup remover plus I thought Milk could be much more moisturising. The first impression was my skin felt tight and even after applying my Dermalogica cream, my skin doesn't feel right. Last night I used the Perfect whip and this works for me. My skin doesn't feels dry nor tight and the pores next to my nose area looks less visible. I compared both products ingredients and I noticed the Milk contains more cleansing agents (perhaps to remove makeup as well).

I lived in Singapore, with normal to dry skin but skin doesn't breakout easily as I watch what I eat. I bought it through Qoo10 which is S$6.90 (Watson/Guardian are selling about S$11.90). I will continue to use for at least a month to see how it goes. By the way, please use a foaming net, it will lather up like a whipped meringue which is less harsh than lather between your palms.

This product is too drying for my face. It is not straight away, when I found out about it. Feels good after use, but as time went (couple of weeks), skin felt dry and dehydrated, and even moisturaiser couldn't help there. But I must say, I generally don't like foams very much, they are never good for my skin.

Love this cleanser! had been using this for more than a year now. It removes dirt and oil effectively without making my face tight. I usually use a foam net to lather the cleanser. I dont think you should use this to remove makeup at all but rather use the cleanser after a separate make up remover agent.

Like others have mentioned, you only need very little and this cleanser will foam up well. It won't remove all of your make-up but some good rubbing will remove blackheads, which I usually have to rely on scrubs to get rid of! I know some people say this leaves a film on your face. What seems to help with this is to, at the end, add more water so the thick foam turns into a soapy consistency, and then rub that around for a little before rinsing everything off. As for dryness, I don't feel that it is drying. Then again, I have oily skin and I use a hydrating toner right after.
Overall, this is a nice product. I'm still thinking about it because I've been breaking out recently and I can't figure out if it's this, stress, or the climate change.

I was surprised to find so many negative reviews on this product. I have been using this with my Clarisonic for a few months now and I think its a good basic cleanser. I use this once a day at night after I've removed my makeup. I used the Shiseido extra gentle cleansing foam many years ago, and if I remember correctly, the texture is somewhat similar (which isn't surprising since they're the same company), but this one is a lot cheaper than the Shiseido one. I have sensitive acne prone skin, and if not taken care of, my skin can get really dry. This product hasn't caused any problems for me and is perfect for use with the Clarisonic. I have noticed with prolonged use that my skin does get a little tight/dry after washing but not so much that I get dry patches.

First of all I will start by saying that it will last you a long long long long long time. A little goes a long way. It lathers like crazy and you really need a tiny bit of the product for that! That's the only good thing I have noticed. I have been using it for the past 3 months. I have tried using it in AM, then PM to remove the make-up, PM after make-up has been removed etc. It doesn't remove my make-up well, it's too drying for my oily skin (unbelievable!), it leaves a very annoying film on my skin, which makes me feel like I haven't washed my face properly. Unfortunately I haven't managed to make it work for me despite my numerous attempts. It's not even half-finished but I am binning it.

This is a basic, good cleanser that does its job. Really cheap but not easily available outside of Japan. I'm almost done with my tube. The texture is creamy and lathers very easily with just a little bit of water. You only need a pea size amount for each wash so this tube will last you a really LONG TIME, seriously. After washing, face feels fresh and clean but there's a slight tightness so I always spritz my face with a face mist right after using this cleanser. The packaging is just functional, not pictures etc. For the price, it's worth a try especially those with oily skin and live in tropical climate like me!

I have hecka dry skin. In winter, this is too strong for my skin, but in spring/summer/fall this is the only thing that gets off my SPF five bazillion sunscreen. The secret to using this is to only use less than a pea size amount and rub like crazy.

One tube lasts me the entire season I use it- around seven months. I'm on my third tube and not looking back.

The rest of the year I use either Shu oil or whatever face wash the Japanese store has (most recent was Biore with the pink cap).

This is a basic cleanser more suitable for oily skin. I used this often when I lived in asia in a humid climate - it was more appropriate then. In drier climates, I find this dries my skin out too much. I stopped using this to try other gentler cleansers, then came back to this on a whim one day. My skin felt uncomfortably dry afterwards (I used it with the clarisonic so it may have exacerbated the dryness) and I broke out by the next day from the dryness. I promptly tossed it in the trash and will not buy this again. It may work for oily skin but I prefer gentle face washes that don't leave my skin feeling "squeaky clean" and dry.
