This gentle, calming body wash with added 1/3 baby lotion is ideal for a pre-bedtime bath :)
While the thick, creamy formula does not lather easily, leaving the wash on for just a little while longer before rinsing keeps my skin soft & smooth, thus eliminating the need for a separate body moisturizer. Good for lazy days, or when you just can't be bothered to slap on another layer of body lotion after a shower :p
For those with concerns about skin sensitivity, here's the list of ingredients:
Water, PEG-80 Sorbitan Laurate, Glycerin, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, PEG-150 Distearate, Sodium Lauroamphoacetate, Fragrance, Styrene/Acrylates Coplymer, Sodium Laureth-13 Carboxylate, Acrylates Copolymer, Mineral Oil, Polyquaternium-7, Tetrasodium EDTA, PEG-45M, Citric Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Methylchloroisothiazolinone & Methylisothiazolinone.

Nothing special, not very interested in the scent too and it leaves a film behind on the skin .

I absolutely adore this body wash, and I am worried they are DC'ing it because I am starting to run out and haven't found it in any stores recently. I hope they keep it around because the scent is soooo lovely and the wash is nice and moisturizing. I am surprised other reviewers on here say it dried out their skin -- I have fairly picky skin and this stuff has been great for me. I moisturize areas after I shave using the Softwash, but otherwise I don't even need to moisturize.

this stuff really is calming and smells wonderful. It actually smells just like the bedtime baby bath stuff. It lathers really really well - best I have ever seen.

I use the J&J massage moisturizer in lavender, which has a strong scent that I can smell even when I apply it only to my legs. I figured I'd try the body wash to use after I jog at night, thinking it would relax me and send me off to a deep sleep. Nah... the smell is light and doesn't last. Sure, it's moisturizing and lathers nicely, but I expected more.

Absolutely the most divine, baby soft and heavenly smell in a baby wash ever, and I love it. Such nostalgia for me. The consistency is very milky/creamy and the lather is rich and moisturizing. I use this as my night time wash to relax and get ready for bed, and the lavender properties do just that. After my shower I just wrap up under the covers and pass out. I'm surprised this has so many bad reviews and complaints about dryness because it does the complete opposite for me. My skin smells so good and is so baby soft after this wash that if I'm in a rush, I don't have to use any moisturizer. Most of the time I seal my skin with the lavender baby oil while I rinse for even more softness and moisture. Any soap has the chance of irritating and drying out skin if it isn't rinsed off properly, but either way I could NEVER be without this night time wash EVER, or I would be a very cranky mess.

Freaking AWFUL. I bought this and after I did I read the reviews on here, too late. This horrendous crap dries out my skin and makes me itchy. It's disgusting. I know it's the wash's fault, because as soon as I quit using it, my skin felt great again. Ew, do not buy, will never EVER repurchase.

very, very moisturizing - i can go without lotion when using this. BUT, it simply smells terrible, way too strong for my sensitive nose and i keep smelling this on my skin hours later. won't repurchase, because it doesn't agree with my nose.

As others have said, it smells nice but that's it. It made me dry & itchy each time I used it, and I have pretty unsensitive skin. I usually use neutrogena acne wash in the shower and this stuff is way harsh compared to even that. I thought maybe it was just my imagination, so I put it in the handsoap container by my sink, and it made my hands SUPER-DRY and they cracked and bled. So I retired it. I can't believe this stuff was in the baby isle. If I had used this on my baby I'd be SO MAD!

I LOVE this body wash. It smells so good and has a soft, soothing lavendar scent that definitely has a calming effect. It has a very rich and creamy lather and rinses clean. Before trying the softwash bodywash, I was using the Johnson's bedtime bath (my very favorite body wash of all time) and I love this one almost as much, and it's much more moisturizing but doesn't have the pure clean smell of the baby bath, but smells really nice anyway. This is my favorite brand of body washes, I love the lavendar scent and this is a definite repurchase for me. Hydrating, soothing and my skin feels baby soft and smells wonderful, shower after shower! Definitely my HG body wash! :)

Smells great....but that's about all. I bought this when it first came out and it was over $8 (Ouch!) I absolutely loved the smell and it claimed to leave your skin baby soft. So I tried it. It's sold in both the adult and baby section so I figured it wouldn't irritate my very sensitive skin but it made me so itchy every time I used it. On top of that it didn't moisturize my skin at all. The bottle has an interesting soft texture to it which is nice but in all the bottle is impractical. Because it comes with the opening on the bottom water gets trapped in the cap in the shower so the next time you use it cold water spills on you. Its very hard to get product out when it nears the end. I needed to use to hands to squeeze it out which is awkward because I like to squeeze with one hand into the bath pouf in the other. Do not try this if you have very dry and/or sensitive skin.

I was hoping this would have the same scent as the bedtime lotion, which it doesnt. It does compliment though. Leaves my sensitive skin soft and moisturized.

This body wash is very mild, I can use it on my whole body except face. The smell reminds me of the Bedtime baby wash wich I love!
The packaging is very convenient even if the bottle is very big (mine is 600 ml).
Would repurchase!

I love this product =)! It's very moisturizing and lathers fairly well. My skin is soft and smooth afterwards. The smell is very relaxing, as supposed to be from the product's name. It's a mild perfumed lavender smell which smells divine and get ready for bed-time. The smell lingers for a while after bath. I'd also like to try out the other softwash body wash but this is one that I'll definitely repurchase.

I was attracted to this body wash because of it's gentle, soft smell. When I bought it, I was very pleased. I have sensitive skin and sometimes my skin gets itchy and dried out, which leads to it getting blotchy and red. But now, my skin has been very soft, and it hasn't gotten irritated yet. The smell is a soft, baby-like lavender that is so calming and soothing. Also, it's very creamy and moisturizing. Love it!

Although this body wash doesn't lather up as much as others, it's still very moisturizing and leaves my skin soft. I love the scent as well; it's a soft, subtle floral which doesn't linger, unlike other products with a cheap, in-your-face type of fragrance.
Update: Now that I'm halfway through the product, I've come across a design flaw in the bottle. I have to squeeze really hard, using both hands, to get the stuff out of the bottle! Otherwise, I still love it.

I really like this moisturizing body wash. It has a great fragrance and makes skin ultra-soft. You also get a good amount of product for your money. While this doesn't lather as well as some body washes (because it's so creamy) I still find that you get a nice lather when you use a little more.

I found this to be an okay body wash. It didn't lather much but it felt nice going on like putting on lotion. I liked how creamy it felt and it made my skin really soft afterwards. The calming scent was a bit too perfumey for my taste but it did fade after awhile. It was nice but it didn't wow me in any way.
