I have oily skin and Zirh Clean for men works a charm, though I wouldn't recommend it for people with dry skin. It has a lovely, thick, gelatinous texture and a fresh, citrus-ey smell. You only need to use a very small amount because it lathers up beautifully; a little goes a long way. It's the first step in my skincare routine. I use it twice daily, and it leaves my skin feeling refreshed and vibrant. I agree with other comments made on this forum about the packaging being impractical. A pump pack would make more sense.

I originally got this product as a sample when I was shopping at Sephora and I absolutely fell in love with it! I have no idea why people say its harsh and such. Its the best face wash I have used so far and I have recommended it to many people. When I actually bought it, I was very disappointed in the packaging (its almost impossible to get all the product out!) but with this wash, a little bit goes a very long way. My skin is glowing, clear, not shiny, and my pores are significantly smaller. Huge thumbs up

I've been only using this cleanser for about a week and I like it so far. I initially bought it because it contains AHAs (which I read was good for exfoliating the skin) and since I couldn't find any decent priced skin cleanser with AHAs, this was the next best thing (it is geared toward men). I really think the price is not bad considering how much product there is in the bottle and how little of it you have to use... it lathers well with a pouf (I paid about $21 CDN). The only thing I have to complain about right now is the packaging - I think I would have less trouble getting the product out if it came with a pump.

This smells like citrus but not like an herbal natural citrus, more like Mountain Dew. But I do like anything citrus for the face and a combination of citrus with a little minty tingle is just heaven. I really enjoy using this and look forward to the texture and scent each night. My skin is milia-prone does really well with AHAs. Other reviewers mentioned that it can be drying but for me, I sort of need a cleanser that really cleans without leaving any film or residue on the skin. I use this at night only and follow with a bit of jojoba oil or my Jurlique night cream (the only one that does not break me out) and I don't think it is drying out my skin. And the price is actually really good - 8 ounces for under $20! I am a tough sell with skin care, rarely find anything that works so I usually just bounce from product to product, but I would repurchase this one.

i got this as a sample with my order today and so far so good! the effects on my skin reminds me of how my skin looks and feels after i use philosophys microdermabrasion. the only diff is that this stuff smells better/cleaner, it doesnt contain any scrubbies like philosophy's, and philosophy's doesnt contain menthol like this one but it doesnt bother me because my skin doesnt react to it. im not sure how its makeup removing capabilities are since i used it on clean skin but ill update :)

Not a fan of this product. I tried it because my bf bought in effort to start on a good skincare regiment (he has none). Anyhow, he stopped using it as he says it dries out your skin. I decided to try it because I didn't want to waste it but I had to throw it out as it was way too harsh on my skin. It makes your skin all tight right afterwashing.

My husband's mom bought this for him, and I'm not a fan of this product. Maybe I am being to picky, but I have worked in this industry and Zirh is really being misleading with this product. They claim to include glycolic and salycilic acids to help clean and exfoliate skin. But there are two problems. One, those ingredients are put in at very low levels. Secondly, these ingredients only work if you leave it on your skin for a few minutes. My husband washes it off in 10 seconds.
I think you can get a better cleanser at a better price.

This is one of my favorite cleansers. I have oily skin that sometimes breaks out. This cleanser has alpha hydroxy in it which helps clear skin and keep it that way. My one complaint is that the container leaves much to be desired. Great size and value. However, it is in a steel container that pours out, so you often end up with more product that is needed. I like to keep it in the shower. I will buy this one over and over.

I used this product in combination with the PROTECT moisturizer. When you use a face wash and your face ends up dry and tight, you know that's not a good sign. The moisturizer did little to improve the condition. If you buy the large bottle size it only makes things worse. You end up using more product than you need. A sales associate spoke highly of it, perhaps to make a very convincing sell. I was very disappointed and I'm pretty much done with the Zirh line after this experience. It's no wonder Lab Series takes over the counter space at most department stores.

I really wanted to get my boyfriend a nice cleanser and from reading such good reviews, I got him this. He told me he likes it and it's really working nicely for his acne prone skin. It's not harsh and drying. The packaging is really nice and manly and it has a citrusy smell to it. I want to get him more stuff from this line since I love getting him skincare.

After reading all the wonderful raves bout this product, I finally decided to buy one and try it on my bf who has a really mega oily (sensitive!) skin.
On his first usage, the cleanser made his skin dry and tight (that's new to him! ha!), just as exactly as what the salesperson had told him. And after a week's time or so, his skin has never been better and indeed healthier and glowing. Much better!!!
I also gave a few to my brother, who has the same problem, and it solved his acne breakouts. Definitely must try to those with oily, acne-prone, sensitive skin. :)
10-18-07 update: my bf has stopped using this for awhile, the cleanser was not as effective as before...may need to use another cleanser, and go back to this one a few months after.

My boyfriend is very high-maintenance when it comes to skincare. I balked when I bought him this for Christmas since I've never even paid this much for skincare myself, and I consider *myself* high-maintenance. He told me Zirh was his favorite line (Clean is his favorite product) because it works and keeps his skin clear. I noticed the difference in his skin within a week of him using the whole Zirh line, the few breakouts he had disappeared, his skin looked smooth and even, and the red marks disappeared. He's much more happy now that his skin is clear, and that is worth it to me!

Please, if you have normal, dry or sensitive skin, RUN. Its horrible, you get totally dry skin ond spots. Maybe an option for very oily skin types. To br honest, this is the worst facial cleanser, i have ever tryied.

I originally bought this for my BF (after his own bottle ran out) and used it occasionally when I felt like I needed a little more exfoliation in my cleanser. Then last week ran out of my Purity Made Simple and gave this a whirl for a few days on end. My skin is looking great! My breakouts are clearing up (period breakouts ugh) and my pores are no longer clogged! My skin is sensitive (rosacea prone) with mild but persistent acne. My amount of salicyclic and alphahydroxy acids in this are just the right combo for my sensitive, yet acne ridden skin. It uses three different alpha hydroxy acids (glycolic from sugar cane, malic from apples, and lactic from milk). Malic and lactic are great for sensitive skin. And it must have a small amt of Salicylic Acid, because that usually makes my skin worse. Not in this case though.
The price is right too! Only $16 for 8 oz bottle that really lasts a while. I was using Philosophy's Purity at $20 for 8 oz and I had to use twice the amount of cleanser to get my face clean.
I use this in combination with Caudalie Sauvignon Scrub :)
My 2 complaints: 1) the smell isn't the greatest. But I can manage while I'm washing my face and the scent doesn't linger. 2) I wish it had a pump to dispense but no biggie.
Also, this product line is under the Shiseido company. And according to Zirh's website an impressive variety of makeup artists for big name shows use the Zirh line http://www.zirh.com/film.aspx.
EDIT- after another week of use in December its too drying on my cheeks and forehead. I'll wait until summer or just use to erase blackheads as needed

Gentlemen, RUN!!! This is possibly the most harsh cleanser I have ever used. Despite my skin's sensitivity I can usually use cleansers with AHA's and BHA's without a problem, but after only a couple days of use my skin was on fire! I developed a rash around my eyes and nose that took almost a month to subside. I would never recomend this product to anyone.

This is an OK foaming face wash. Doesn't strip oil. However, I have a very oily skin and would prefer cleansers that would give me the squeaky clean feel. I noticed with this cleanser that I have to splash my face with water longer than I would normally have just to get rid of that slimy feel. And it never goes away. I just feel like there is residue left. On the other hand, I do like the cooling sensation but not a fan of the scent. Smells like lemony bathroom freshener. Price is on the cheap side 8oz for $16. A little goes along way. Not too thrilled with the packaging. With all this cons, I will not repurchase.

UPDATE: I use it now in the evening after I remove my makeup. I mix with more salicylic acid from other products mix well and wash my face. I have some red spots I believe due to makeup. This products treats my skin well. In the morning, my red spots disappears.
------------------------------
My boyfriend is using it and I use once in a while. It is Alpha Hydroxy face wash.
I just LOVE it!! This is only for morning. I use only a small amount.Half of my pinky nail size.
I heard that Shiseido owns Zirh now. NO wonder.

I used this constantly before I discovered La Roche Posay's Purifying Gel Cleanser. Took of one lippie for clumsy packaging. Once it runs low, the thick formula takes forever to run out of the metal bottle. It;s so much value for money! It's a very rich thick consisteny that needs a tiny bit to foam the face - and you get a large bottle! i love the very light citrus-y scent that's mild, doesn't linger and doesn't irritate. The mild tingly sensation is fantastic and doesn't make my sensive skin dry out or itch. Howver, I had to look around for something new (hence my new HG from LRP) because when I use differin and BHA it tends to make my skin feel too tight. it does clear some flakes though.
My husband now uses this and likes it a lot - i still grab it on extra hot humid days when my oiliness goes into overdrive, so I feel and look deep down clean.

I don't know, why this product has been rated so "moderate". I love this cleanser, it cleanses perfectly, I have mixed and acne-prone skin. It didn't break me out at all. Well, I agree with one of the reviewers before me - it smells exactly like the dishwashers do. But it still is definitely a try-out for all of you out there.
