I love Merle Norman Luxiva powder, and I am going to keep buying it until it's discontinued. So I thought why don't I try other products,? I got a generous sample size of this scrub on ebay, I wanted to try this product because it contains lactic acid which works really good for my skin. This product is absolutely horrible. First of all, it stinks to high heavens, it lingers, the smell is very strong and cheap, like some cheap old fashioned vintage cologne cheap. The performance is about the same. It's very harsh. I do not have sensitive skin, my skin is oily and very tolerant to anything. This product is very drying, my skin turned blotchy, itchy, and later became very oily. I thought may be it wasn't a good day, you know some days skin can be more sensitive. So I tried it again next week. The same result. I will never try or buy it again. I used up the rest of the product on my heels. Actually I am hesitant to try other merle products after this one, well, except for the powder of course, as I said luxiva flawless is the best powder available on US, Euro or Asian market.

This is just an ok product, nothing really fantastic about it. It is a gel based smooth scrub. It really didn't do much for my skin either way. There are a ton of similar scrubs out there for a much cheaper price.

I received a sample of this and was really disappointed with this product. I found it had a perfumey scent. I thought I was literally bathing my face in perfume. I am not overly sensitive to scents, but this one was just too strong. The scrub itself I did not feel did enough. It was gritty, but never quite left my skin as soft and smooth as I thought it would considering it has such a strong scrub in it. Then you throw in the strong scent and this is just not that worth it of a product.

This scrub makes my face feel so silky. It's like washing my face with silk. I love it. My face always feels so smooth and soft afterwards. It cleans my face greatly and gives the skin a glow. The lady at the Merle Norman store said i should only use it twice a week. So i do it on Monday and Thursday. I love that it doesnt have so many scrubbies. All the scrubs i've tried are too harsh and it's like rubbing my skin with sand paper. It has just the right amount of grids to clean my skin perfectly/get all the dead skin off, without leaving my skin feeling red and sore from the harshness of the scrubbies/grids. Love it.

As a former MN SA, I have tried many if not most of Merle Norman's products. I have used 2 tubes of this scrub and have a third in my bathroom closet right now. The grit is heavier than the Skin Refining Cleanser, but more fine than St Ives Scrub, and it is suspended in a lightly-scented gel base. This works beautifully on my dry spots without irritating my sensitive skin.

As a beauty advisor at a Merle Norman this is one of my favorite products! There is a secret to it though. You should only have your face damp, not soaking wet. Message the scrub in wait 10 minutes then rinse off. The AHA's will absorb the cellular glue that holds dead skin cells on...making the skin dull. Follow with a moisturizer that has an SPF in it. If you ich when using it then the AHA's may be too strong for you. I love the smell because it smells like fruit trees! If you got one that smells bad, it could be old and expired.

This review will be short and sweet. I love Merle Norman products as you can see by my reviews, BUT, I hate this product with a passion. I have given it several tries. It is harsh on my skin, breaks me out and makes me burn. Around my nose, I gather blemishes that will hardly go away! Please Merle, you can do better than this. Please make a gentle one for gals like me. I need it.
Of all things, I use Amazing Grace buffing scrub on my face and it is a winner (yes,5) heads down and over heals. I love this, even if it is supposed to be for body. I just tell myself that my face is part of my body (wink). Please, if you have dry, sensitive skin, do not even try it the Merle Norman scrub!

I thought I would try this one as I have been using one of their other scrubs, and was out. This has the worst fragrance I have ever smelled. It smells like old lady. Stinky old lady at that. I did itch, and smelled this horrible fragrance all day, despite having washed and rinsed with another product. I immediately took it back, and just got plain old cleanser and a brush. A big difference!

I am a beauty consultant at Merle Norman Cosmetics. Out of all of our products, this is the ONE I cannot use(and I think I've tried them all). Someting in it makes my face blotchy and extremely itchy, though I cannot narrow down the ingredient. This product is gentle and even made for sensitive skin. We use it in our spa when we do facials, and I cannot even get it on my hands; they itch like crazy. Anyone else had such a reaction?

I have fair, acne-prone, extremely oily skin (yes really!) and I can use this scrub every day as a cleanser to remove my MUU at night. However, I wouldn't reccommend using it more than a few times a week if you have very sensitive skin or if you're not used to using AHA and BHAs. I rarely re-purchase any product, but I've bought this one for years.

Even though I have rated this product a 5, as a scrub I find it a bit of a dud. Too few scrubbing particles to really work as an effective scrub. That being said, whenever I used the product I found that my skin was smoother, softer, more even toned and firmer. I finally realized that what makes this product work so well is the base the particles are in, not the particles themselves. It contains AHAs which I normally can't use, but since it's on the skin for a short time, I have experienced no irritation. I now use it as a mask several times a week. I simply put a thin layer on my face, leave it on for 10 minutes and rinse. It is just amazing how much better my skin looks after using this product.

I use the Polished Perfection 4 days a week. I absolutely love this line. I just started using it about 2 weeks ago and can't believe how great my skin looks. My skin is so soft and glowing after using this scrub.

Just bought this weekend. Have only used once but I really like it. It left my skin feeling soft, not irritated or red. Felt like it worked really well, but didn't irritate my skin. Would buy again.

Love this product! Use it in the morning before applying foundation and it makes my skin look so polished and smooth! Runs about $21.00 a tube but alittle goes a long way.

I think this is the best scrub on the planet. It's not too harsh. as a matter of fact, I find it to be actually soothing on my skin.
