The Maybelline Smoked Kohl Eyeliner was okaay.. It is definitely smooth and applies easily, but the staying power isn't too good. After an hour, it's very obvious and evident that you have raccoon eyes, well, if you apply on the bottom waterline/lashline. On the top, it still stayed. Like I said, this is an okay product, and I probably won't buy it again.

decent color, very dark and soft. as others have said, it does fade quickly, but for the price, i'll keep using it... at least, unless i find something better.

I had this in "Brandied Raisin" and threw it out. It was hard to get onto delicate eyelid skin, but worse, when I got it on, it looked like - NOTHING! Just didn't show up much at all, and that's strange, because I am a LLL and low-contrast-faced person, with sparse, light eyelashes. So this was a BUST!

Ugh this liner was so bland. The shade was "Prune" and I will give Maybelline props for getting the exact shade of a prune into an eyeliner. Anyways, I had to press way too hard to get it to show up on my eyes and I found it really irritating. Colour's boring, product's boring, I'm just glad I bought it on sale so I don't feel like a sucker.

I have this in smoked gray and the colour is great. Unlike other pencils I have used I don't need to press down very hard to get a soft line. The pencil is easily smudged to get that 'smokey' look (great when used with the smudger!) but it looks good when un-smudged too! The only thing I didn't like about it was that it disappered half way through the day- no raccoon eyes- just plain vanished! I don't mind as I can re- apply, but I need something a bit more hard wearing- what with all the sports and sweating I do all day! (Yes I know, gross!) Good basic eyeliner, cheap price, performs well. I like products from maybelline and I never been anything less than happy with my purchases from them. I would probably buy this again because it's miles above other drugstore liners.

I always had a big problem with mascara smudging under my eyes. It wasn't until I stopped using this that I realize this is causing most of the smudging! I had always liked this liner for it's softness and the smudger top, but never again! Switched over to Lancome and made so much difference.

The best pencil liner that I've used, period. The texture is perfect...the shade comes out true (not too gray or chalky). And it glides on nicely. I have to admit that I never used the smudger.

I like the color selection, but these eyeliners are too smudgy. After a few hours, it's like instant raccoon eyes.

I love this eyeliner. I've had the smoldered chestnut color for a few years now and I love it. It goes on great and it stays for a long time. I didn't see any the last time I looked, I am going to have to hunt some more down.

I love this eyeliner and I'm very sad that I can no longer find it in my color. I use the ivory color that looks like skin to line my inner eye. It makes my eyes pop. Great when you are sleep deprived. Make you look awake. My pencil is down to a nub. Anyone know where I can get this color?

So easy to use, even though I don't usually use the smudger on the end. I tried it and I like to blend with my finger better. I think I bought one that's not my color.

im not able to find this eyeliner in anything but baby blue and lime green, but thats ok because I love to were those colors! I LOVE how I can blend and smudge it just right!

Excellent, creamy pencil. Unlike some other eye pencils I've tried, it doesn't tug at my eyelid. The smudger end is very useful :)

I wear this eyeliner to bed (it never gets in my eyes) and when I wake up it's still perfect! It even lasts through show

Have this in Smouldered Chestnut, a deep brown, and it's gorgeous. So blendable, last long, and the tip hardly ever crumbles. The sponge on the end is so incrediblely handy. I just love this product, a staple.

I have this in Brandied Raisin which is a nice, plummy colour. It's fairly long, comes with a sponge tip smudger and you have to sharpen it with a sharpener, which can be quite annoying. Having said that, both the texture and the colour are top notch. but as for staying power, well, like all eyeliners cheap or expensive, it does smudge a bit in humid weather and after some time. the price is fabulous and this product will i think last for a long long time. these are definitely comparable to MAC eye kohls, which just goes to prove that in the cosmetics industry, you really pay for the brand image.

I have these in every color made (hehe..they were on sale for 98 cents each at brooks) and I would have bought most of them for the full price anyway...these are my favorite liners hands down..you get a lot of product, a smudger at the end and they are cheap and come in a variety of colors..I can go from natural myeyesbutbetter to smokysexysiren (lol) in like 1min flat! these are highly reccommended!!
ps- my fave colors are brandied raisin (a deep purple), smoldered chestnut (dark brown) and smoked black (I think that is the name..a true, soft black)
pps- I reviewed this a while ago and was complaining that it wouldn't line the inner rims smoothly but if you give them a quick sharpen before using then the go on sooo smoooothly : )

i got this is smoked grey~ goes on nicely, no tugging or dragging, delicate to the eye area! but it wears off within a few hours, it either melt along with the oil on my eyelid or smuged all over my eyelids! yuck!! it's a value for such a long pencil with a smudge tip! but i wouldn't not repurchase it!

I find this to be a good basic pencil eyeliner that goes on smoothly without tugging. It smudges a bit easily though and fades away after several hours. That's why I switched over to liquid (finer line, longer lasting) but I think this pencil is comparable to higher end dept. store brands.

This is such a good drugstore eye kohl. I can't believe I just found such a great product, and now I think they are discontinued (can't find them anywhere, not even on maybelline website ; ( ) I have it in ripened raisin, and it a beautiful purplish brownish color. It goes on with ease (no tugging or skipping) and lasts all day. It has a sponge on the other side of the tip to blend and smudge. This color looks great with green, purples, pinks, and white e/s. (I am sure more, but that is all that i have experimented with so far). Great kohl, too bad I didn't find these sooner. If you do see them in the store...stock up now!!
