Burnt sand is a gorgeous brown with gold undertones...BUT I've got MAC eyeshadows that give off the same effect and not only are they cheaper, but they are also easier to store (with palettes). Although beautiful this definitely isn't a shadow I would run out to buy, because I've got several dupes of the same shadow that apply better than this one does.
Its great if you have nothing else like it, but I don't feel like its something special.

This is an overall great quality e/s.. nice simple and compact design on the case. Is a brown/bronze with a slightly metallic finish, but not over the top, and it wears well. For these reasons I gave it a 4. I would have given it a 5 except that I have noticed that this color looks better on me when I'm slightly more tan (self-tanner)... when I am very pale it is not the most flattering on me.

[**UPDATE**: This is no longer my HG! Now I'm hooked on MAC Woodwinked which is a similar shade but much more versatile. I won't purchase this again.] For the past year this has been my HG natural e/s color. I'm NC30 with very golden undertones and this shadow is nearly identical to my natural eyelid color, but just a tad darker and warmer (and, obviously, more glittery). The glitter is subtle and gives a warm shimmer. This wears fine on its own and doesn't crease on me (not obviously, at least) but its more vibrant and dressed-up over a base (MAC Indianwood Paint Pot is great for this-- it warms up the color and makes it almost metallic in finish). I bought this as a replacement for the discontinued Prop, my old HG neutral eyeshadow, and I like this one even better.

I love this eyeshadow (and I am not big on e/s at all!). I recieved a GWP size of this and Honeymoon and I love them both. They are beautiful together. The texture is soft, silky, and the colors are pigmented. This e/s did not crease on me and was long-lasting. Usually when I apply eyeshadow I feel like it looks all wrong, like I got punched in the face of something (I'm pale so it's hard to find flattering shades I guess), but this is gorgeous. It's one of the only darker e/s that I am not scared to apply. I've been using it in my crease, and I do think this color would suite most, if not all, skintones.

I love using this in the crease for a perfect every day shimmery look! I got it in a GWP but I will DEFINITELY purchase again. It's a rusty bronze with lots of shimmer. The shadow is consistant and blendable (though I've found it breaks easily, so I've taken a lippie off for that.)

WHAT I LOOK LIKE: Fair skin with neutral-warm undertones, deep brown eyes, curly auburn hair, and normal acne-prone skin.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: 0.11 ounces (3.2 grams). Unsure of price.
PACKAGE: Black quad case, with LANCÔME in raised letter near the opening. Product information on the back, on a black label with gold writing.
CONSISTENCY AND TEXTURE: Very finely milled, goes on extremely easily. Does not flake or clump, which is unfortunately possible in eye shadows. It is very smooth does not weigh down my eyelids.
APPLICATION: I use my Sephora Professional Brush to apply this. I dip the brush into the powder a few times, and then glide the hairs across my lid. Occasionally, I use this as a highlighter in the inner corners of my eyes, in wich case I rub the top part of the brush against the powder, then apply.
FINISH: Metallic.
STAYING POWER: Lasts all day long.
SCENT: Nothing added. Just a slight eye shadow scent, and only if you stick your nose right above the pan.
COLOR: A metallic golden color with shades of brown mixed in. On a scale of one through ten, one being very light (white) and ten being very dark (black), I would give this a five point six.
OVERALL: Great product; this truly has it all. Beautiful color, fabulous staying power, and wonderful formula. Who could ask for anything more?

I thought at first that this would be a totally unusable color for me. Proves I was wrong, I am starting to love this! Great for daytime because of its neutral tone. Two thumbs up for another great Lancome product!Ü

I love Lancome eyeshadows in general. They have a lot of pigment, go on smoothly without flaking, and wear well with minimal creasing (everything creases on me to some degree). This is a shimmery brown that can be worn during the day since the shimmer is pretty subtle, or used for a more dramatic eye at night. It's a basic, staple kind of color and I'm quite pleased with it. I have it in a gwp duo with Coquille, and I love to wear the two of them together, use burnt sand as a liner and add a touch of black mascara. The color of burnt sand brings out my green eyes. That said, it's not holy grail material; there are so many similar colors in so many lines, but if I happened to need a color like this in the future and it was gwp time at the Lancome counter I would buy this.

Received in a GWP..it's a GREAT color with GREAT staying power. I only wear this in the summertime, but it looks hot with a tan and some eyeliner. :)

Really pretty shimmery dark copper/brown color, I got it in a duo compact with Creme lustre, and they look great together.

This golden slightly copperish shimmery color is amazing on my lids. It lasts a long time and as said below, looks great on brown eyes. Got this as a gwp duo paired with creme lustre, a shimmery light beige, bordering on white. Both look good together, but Burnt Sand is the one I'll repurchase.

This is a very pretty medium golden sand(almost bronzy)color. It reminds me somewhat of Clinique's Golden Lynx but a bit darker than that. Overall, nice formulation and decent staying power (not all day). Nothing chalky or dull about this one and it looks great on brown eyes. A winner in my book.

I just got this; it's a darkly metallic golden bronze on me. The SA applied Candid (a coppery gold) all over my upper lids and then put Burnt Sand in the crease and Honeymoon under my brows. She used Le Stylo Waterproof in Vert liner. She put plum and bronze blushes on and gave me Caramel and Beach Plum lips. I looked WOW. I love Lancôme's eye shadows. This combo is perfect on my brown eyes (which have a gray ring around the irises).
