This tinted moisturizer oxidized in an hour on my face. What was a great match in the morning was an orange mess by coffee.

I love this tinted moisturizer. I'm on my second tube and I use this on days that I feel like foundation is a bit too much. I feel like a lot of complaints about this product are because people are not preparing their skin properly for it- I prep my skin like I would for a foundation- light moisturizer and then some primer. I have very dry skin and this keeps my skin hydrated all day whereas when I wear foundation after about 10 hours of wear, dry skin patches start becoming very noticeable and start getting drier. The coverage is of course, very sheer and the colour selection is reasonable although not outstanding- the lightest shade it a bit too dark for my skin but gives it a healthy glow. My only complaint about this tinted moisturizer is I find it very hard to blend, it takes a lot more work than most coverage products I am used to. Overall, great buy!

Already purchased a pack up, I got it for around 15 dollars which is on the more expensive side for drugstores. Occasionally I use it all over my face, but for everyday I use it to cover my dark circles (the coverage isn't heavy, I want to have some of my dark circles peek through to make it look natural)

I have been using this product year round for two years now, and absolutely love it! I have very yellow undertoned skin, making it hard to find a good product to match it. This tinted moisturizer is lightweight and gives decent coverage. I do find it doesn't cover acne well but it helps even out my skin tone. I love that it has spf and it doesn't break me out. Which is a huge plus because most foundations do. I only have to buy this product twice a year because the smallest amount goes a long way. The only vice I have is that it doesn't stay on all day and night. However being so lightweight it's very easy to touch up. Great product!

I used to wear foundation but always found that it looked cakey and heavy. I don't have the best skin- dryness in the T-zone, mild bit of rosacea and a number of acne scars- but I wanted more natural coverage. I found this stuff at the drugstore for $13- a steal for a decent product if you ask me! It gives me good coverage, but is still sheer- it evens out my skin tone without covering up my natural colour. Creme Beige looks yellowy in the tube, but does a perfect job of neutralizing some of my redder spots and looks great on. I wear it over a primer or a day moisturizer, which solves the problem of dryness or irritation and helps the product spread better. As a previous commenter said: TM shouldn't replace your moisturizer!

This broke me out the first day I tried it! I do have to say that my skin is extremely sensitive and reactive, so I can't just shoot anything at it to give it a go. However, since Marcelle was recommended to me for their supposedly gentle formulae, I wanted to try this out. I bought this in Creamy Beige, and later found out that it was around two shades darker. It's nothing that can't be fixed with a little powder that's lighter, so I tried it on anyway, in place of my daily sunscreen. The moment I smoothed it on with my fingers, I regretted...It felt heavy and masky, and my skin couldn't breath. I thought it was nothing but the sunscreen, and that the moisturizing properties of the product was really nice, so I blotted a bit and let it sit. Two hours later, I couldn't handle the feeling anymore. It was a complete mask on my skin, hiding the good skin part as well as the bad, and it also turned orange during the two hours that I've worn it, making me look absolutely terrible. I wish I never touched this, because after I washed my face, I saw three more whiteheads popping out of nowhere! :( I simply couldn't be more disappointed.

Love it! I hate foundations and i'm not much of a makeup wearer. I don't have a perfect complexion since when I was younger I recieved mild frost bite across my cheeks/nose and my skin becomes reddish in those spots sometimes. This product covers the blotches really well. I was actually pretty surprised how well it matched my skin tone.
Pros:
~ non-greasy and non-drying
~ blends well with other makeup/coverup
~ stays on all day
~ great coverage for being so sheer
~ goes on nicely/smoothly

I've been looking for a tinted moisturizer for quite a while now, and Marcelle's is great. This matches my skin tone perfectly, and is very subtle.

I'm asian with yellow undertone so unlike the reviewer below the color matches fine, however, the coverage is next to nothing. I barely see a difference in my skin texture and if I do its gone in an hour. Dont like it, I dont even know if it moisturizes.

This is one of my biggest regrets! I bought this cause i was just dying to get a tinted moisturizer. This product has all pink undertones which does not suite my yellow/olive undertone at all! The coverage is ok, but kind of irritates my skin. I just do not like this product at all and everytime i see this product is my makeup drawer i just want to cringe. So def. not repurchasing!

I was not impressed by this tinted moisturizer. I much prefer the Laura Mercier TM!
~It felt greasy, and smelled kind of odd.
~It did not even out complexion or boost radiance
~I never expected it to cover anything, as it is a TM but this was not very useful at all, it just sat on my face! >-<

I bought this looking for a drugstore tinted moisturizer.
I had very high hopes for it, and was a little bit dissapointed. The color is pretty good, but I think because of it's sheerness it would be good for almost anyone with fair yellow-undertoned skin.
The biggest surprise and letdown for me was that it actually is pretty drying and looks cakey! I never expected it to be dry!
Also, sorry but this stuff smells like a stinky bathroom *gag*. It's absolutely awful! Disgusting! Revolting!
Bleh... Never again will I purchase this. Never again!

I'm on my second or third bottle of this. I can't say I LOVE it, but I like it more than anything else right now. I wanted to stop using foundation because they always looked bad on me. On top of that, I'm really lazy and don't like to moisturize if I can help it (I have oily skin, so generally I can get away with it). Lastly, I wanted something with SPF.
SPF: SPF 15 is great for everday, but not that strong so I may consider getting something else with a higher SPF.
Coverage: It's a TM so coverage is sheer, but I like how it evens out my skin tone. Doesn't do much for covering scars, acne, pores, and hyper pigmentation; just a little coverage. But sheer is what i wanted. The colour matches will with my skin (medium-light)
Others: A medium-thick cream, spreads okay, sometimes it doesn't spread too well if my face is too dry (which is weird for an oily person). It doesn't cause pimples which is a plus. Sometimes I have to wait for it to absorb/dry before applying powders (but that's normal). Not sure if it makes my skin more oily, but it certainly does nothing at all to help the oiliness. Keep squeezing the bottle because there is tons of product left after you think it's done but really it's not.
I have a spare bottle right now. Will continue to purchase until I find something better at a good price.

First, the color is too yellow for me.
Second, it breaks me out a little.
I gave it to my mom after a few uses.

I NEVER thought I could wear JUST a tinted moisturizer. My skin just gets hyperpigmented so easily from acne that I get minimally, but frequently enough...I never thought I could go without foundation unless feeling super confident.
This TM has great coverage, is not greasy, fool proof application with fingers, and I'm not greasy by the end of the day. This shade is a perfect match for me, and like any foundation type product, is 75% the battle. So ladies, (previous reviewers) it's not the product that may not work for you, but the SHADE. Which can happen with anything!
Also, in terms of the product balling up on some people - of COURSE it depends on what you have on your skin underneath. If your skin is super dry or you have another moisturizer underneath that has ingredients that don't mix, it's going to cause a reaction. These ARE chemicals we're putting on our faces, remember! I wouldn't recommend this to really dry faced girls, as no TM is designed to replace a moisturizer if moisture is something your face really lacks.
I use an AHA 4x week to keep my skin smooth, which also helps with makeup application, I strongly believe. Neostrata 8% moisturizer at night btw. I just use a serum underneath this - nice and light which has worked for me.
I have acne prone skin, and just started using this, so I will update if anything changes...but so far so good, and I am very hesitant to put anything new on my skin. Glycerin Sterate SE is listed as one of the top ingredients and through research, can be a moderate pore clogger - but everyone's skin is different and it depends what ELSE you are doing to your skin. I've learned not to be super scared of moderate pore cloggers (like 1-2 on the scale)
Anyways, happy with this no fuss find. Totally recommend. I'm NW 20 or 25 in StudioFix fluid.
EDIT: I would not recommend this product for humid/hot climate for women with combo-oily skin. It doesn't finish matte, so it slides when it gets hot out. Will find something else for summer, as this is better for winter/fall.

I bought this after a SA colour matched me in the store. Maybe it was the lighting that made it look like it matched, but when I tried it at home it was really yellow and just too dark. If this matched my skin tone I think I would have liked it, it had good coverage and was not greasy. Very affordable too.
In the end though, I had to return this. Still on the hunt for a TM that won't break the bank!

I got this for Christmas and I've been using it about 2/3 times a week. I really like this product, the only complaint I have is it's not very moisturizing. After I wash my face and put this on, my cheeks and chin feel dry. I have combo skin so I'm surprised that I would need more moisture.
Other than that, I love the color, I'm ivory/fair in most makeups, and this shade gives me a little color without going overboard. Blends really nicely. Very matte finish.
I think it's just our Canadian winter that is sucking the moisture out of my skin, I think this product will be a lot better in the spring and summer. Would buy it again :)

This always happens to me - I see great reviews for a product, so I put it on my want list, and by the time I get around to trying it, I come back only to see the negative reviews cropping up. This is exactly what happened with this TM. I agree with the other gals who think this is too greasy and too orange. The lightest shade is way too dark, and I'm not even very fair. I returned it, I would never have used it.

It balls up on my skin too!! I don't get why....I have never had a tinted moisturizer do that to me before. I ended up having to take it off. Not worth your money
