I love this stuff. I have coarse, low-porosity, 3b/a red hair. I've been buying this spray for years, and I usually carry it with me wherever I go. This is a wonderful refresher for frizzed out hair, and second day hair. It makes my curls spring back into definition. I don't use this for hold, but I use it to "reactivate" creams or gels that provide hold. Botanical Boost smells fresh and clean and it coats curls with a light layer of hydration.

I got this, a shampoo, a conditioner, a climate control gel as a travel sized pack. This product is good in that it at least does what it claims - it detangles well. The packaging is fantastic and the spray atomiser disperses the product really well onto your hair, coating a large surface area at one time. It temporarily gives your hair the slip it needs while you detangle it right after a shower. Since most of it is water, it dries off eventually. The residue left behind (if at all) is hardly noticeable, and you can style as usual.
It's an effective but expensive detangler. But I think aloe vera juice would do the same job just as well, at a much lower cost. So, not buying it again.

I was excited about this product and couldn't wait to try it because of all the reviews.
It was like spraying water on my hair and did nothing to revive my fine thin curly hair.
What a rip off!

Okay I just bought this stuff literally an hour ago and as I sit here skyping my bf, I sprayed some on my hair and gave it a little mini shake. Now, I have thick, coarse, highly porous yet still healthy curly African American hair and I could feel my hair soften up nearly instantly! Also, it made my curls curl even more and my hair just feels soft and moisturized and lovely. Since I haven't actually gone about my hair routine and put it in, and since I haven't tried it on damp or dry hair, I'm going to leave it at a three. I'll edit my review when I test it more, but for now it seems very promising.
Edit: Sorry, but this wasn't what I thought it was. When it dried it left my hair feeling more dry (although it DID feel softer) and moisture comes before soft in my book. It also did nothing for my wet hair. I gave it to a friend. :(

I am shocked that after the reviews and in general thinking this line would just be hype and mediocre, taht I actyually love with Botanical Boost. To begin with it might work for me solely since I have fine to medium naturally loose wavy hair (sounds liek all the course tight curled girls arte the ones who this doesnt work for). FOr me this works because it is a super fine light mist. I have spent basically years trying to find the perfect stylign products to give my defined frizz free waves and have failed no amtter how high end the liens Ive used. Curls creams end up feeling like ehavy leave in conditioner and not giving my any definition and mousses/gels leave my hair weighed down and crunchy. Also I have tried all sorts of pomades and mists to use as finishing products or even second day refreshers to calm down teh frizz after I sleep on my hair. However the serums/pomades leave your hair sticky and gooey and add more frizz or the msits end up making my waves all wet and weighed down. This mist is the absolute first that calms down all my second day frizz, leaves my waves sleek/defined/moisturized, and doesn't wegh my hair down of leave it wet. It is jsut an amzing product especially is summer and just really refreshes my waves in every sense. Plus love the natural ingredients and and herbal smell. I am so glad my Sephora carries this line in person and not just online. This product working so great for me really makes me super curious to try the Shampoo/Mousse/Gels now to see if they work jsut as well. Don't hesitate to try this if you have fussy wavy hair like mine or honestly just as a leave-in on any hair type since it is super light and will never cause buildup imo! :)

Essentially did nothing. My hair was dry, frizzy and coarse if used without a rinse out conditioner. As a styling product, it is just OK.

I used to use this when my hair was shorter (above chin length and curly). I liked it back then. Liked, not love. Now my hair is below shoulder length and curly. I can't get BB to work for me now. I was hoping I could use it to revive my curls after I've worn it pulled back in a ponytail or bun all day -- which is basically hoping to have nicely formed chunky frizz-free curls from flatness. No dice. Maybe my expectations are unrealistic. I will have to try it to revive my curls after I've already worn my hair loose and curly all day. I dunno. The more products I try for curl reviving, the more I like my aloe vera gel. :/ I will post an update if/when I get this product to work well for me.

I'm in love with most of the Ouidad line. This is an excellent leave in conditioner. The scent puts me off a bit, but it's tolerable and doesn't linger. This prepares my hair for styling and compliments the Climate Control gel very well. I have also used it to refresh my hair in the evening and it has worked well for too. I just have to make sure I don't spray too much or my hair will be a bit stiff.

This is my favorite item out of the sampler pack. It's a surprise too-I have been using Kiehl's leave in forever and wasn't even looking for another leave in.I would say if your hair is fried and tangly- do not try, go directly to Keihl's, do not collect $200. But if you are a curly and need a little extra moisture and detangling this is good. It actually has the nicest light herbal smell, and a spray in for me is just so much faster to apply and go. As a curl refresher, meh- didn't do much, as a light leave in though, I like it a lot

Smells wonderful ,but does just the same as paul mitchells awapuhi spray. A great detangler and it does help define or revive curls without being greasy. I would repurchase ,because of the scent .

I have purchased this many times over the years, my husband and I LOVE this stuff! Botanical Boost works great on my daughter's fine, straight hair, too! It detangles, smells nice, and makes fine hair look healthy. It also gets rid of static in my daughter's hair without making it look clumpy and greasy. I also find Botanical Boost GREAT for re-wetting my hair when I need to re-style it, and don't have time to wash my whole head. I think this is a super product, and the best hair product I've come across in years! I hope Ouidad never stops making this during my lifetime. :oD

I have naturally curly, dry hair. When I was ordering their Water Works shampoo to try since I moved to a hard water area, I thought I'd try this leave in conditioner. It had gotten great reviews by Allure, I think. I don't really notice it much on days when I straighten my hair, but on days when I let it air dry and be curly, I really like using this product to boost the curl throughout the day. I live in a dry climate and it works wonders for keeping my curls bouncy and soft. However, I am inclined to think a bit of Infusium 23 spray would probably produce the same effect for a fraction of the cost. While I'm not unhappy with this product, for the price, I'm going to try Infusium before I reorder Botanical Boost.

Like what was this really supposed to do?? I followed the directions accordingly and did not notice any thing. I think you can buy a cheaper leave in spray conditioner. I just don't get all the hype with any of these Ouidad products. Highly overrated in my book. And highly over priced!!!

Great for my fine curly hair. Helps control frizz and brings my curls and waves back at the end of the day especially when its hot and humid out. Worth the money.

This has been the best leave in conditioner I have ever used! It is also the priciest but it is well worth it!! I have extremely frizzy, curly, fuzzy hair and this conditioner makes my hair super easy to comb, makes my hair feel soooooo soooo soft, and I believe it has made my hair look better condtioned as well and split ends less noticeable. This has made my hair in much better control!! I have even used this in the mornings when my hair looks awful, just sprayed this on dry hair and my hair actually looked decent! I also use this as a curl reviver throughout the day! If you have tight, frizzy curls like mine you will say thank heavens for this product!!!

I generally love Ouidad products but I hated this one. I have very fine, tight curls, and this just made my hair far too soft and made it look very fuzzy. I think it's the aloe in it that makes my hair TOO soft. It may have nice conditioning properties but if you are trying to achieve curl definition and control or if your hair is fine, this is not the product to use.

I've come full circle on this. I originally tried it, loved it, but thought it was too expensive and so went on the hunt for other products. I'm back and loving it. This is the only leave in spray conditioner w/o cones that I've found, so I think the price is worth it. I use it every day on top of rinse out conditioner, and to spritz on days I'm not shampooing. It may seem pricey, but it's worth it to me.

In the beginning (a couple years ago) I thought it was just perfumed water in a bottle, but it is sooo not.
When I use this, my curls are better defined and soft. It's a good prepper before styling because it takes a lot of work off your hands. I already know I'll have good hair day with this, rather than styling my whole head and then waiting to see what's going to happen.
Indispensable in guaranteeing a stress-reduced morning.

As much as I love other OUIDAD products Botanical Boost was too gentle for my hair and didn't seem to do anything. It was like spraying water on my hair. If you have very fine curly hair it would probably be a wonderful product that adds just enough moisture. but for thicker longer hair it's not very good.
