This is for a rollon perfume oil - not the spray.
I found this in a CVs for $5. It smell exactly like the beach. I live at the beach - and this is an onzonic, marine smell. It's kind of awesome, I have to say. I think this would be ideal layered with other scents - a vanilla lotion, Marc Jacobs lemon splash, or with anything super floral - all seem interesting.
Wearing this alone - I think I'll need to be in a very specific mood.
This was sooo cheap and this is such a unique scent - this is definitely worth the five bucks.
Oh, and everyone wondering where they can find the Demeter library? It's at Demeter.com - looks like everything is available.

Extremely synthetic smelling, bordering on nausea-inducing. Nothing salt air about it imo. I've tried this on skin, on fabric, and on paper. It's a no-no for me. BBW fragrances are much better ... and that's not saying much. It's available at the online discounters for 18 bucks (4 ounce bottle) for a reason. Just saying.

This cologne has a salty-sweet fragrance that is very reminiscent of summer days on the beach. I fell in love with it when I first smelled it and bought a huge bottle. I thought it was mild enough to wear to work on a daily basis. However, as the days passed, the sweet aspect grew stronger and the salty less so. I wanted a clean fragrance to wear to the office; I thought this was it, but the fragrance turned out to be a bit more overpowering than I wanted. (I finally settled on Demeter's Pure Soap to wear to work.)
I gave my bottle of Salt Air to my husband, and it smells great on him, so at least the purchase didn't go to waste.

This really does smell like the beach--very impressive. It's tangy, salty, oceanic and a tiny bit sweet. When I have trouble sleeping, I spray this on my sheets and pillow, turn on a beach setting on my iPhone ambiance ap, and am good to go.

I really really love the smell of this, but don't exactly think it makes a great perfume. I feel a little weird actually wearing this. It's just kinda a strange scent for a perfume. Little expensive for a room spray LOL but I think I like it better that way. It's more of an atmosphere scent, not a personal scent. Smells really good though, like clean salt air... with a slight soapy undertone.

Sort of dupe-y to L'eau D'issey, at a fraction of the price. The same lavender and ozone notes are present. L'eau D'issey is more floral, while this is truly more like a sea breeze. It's very pretty, but like all Demeter scents, doesn't last long. Nice for summer and great for the price.

I was lucky enough to find this at Marshall's for $7! This is a great ocean scent because it has the soothing element without being completely over the top. I completely agree with the reviewer below that this would make a great "pillow mist" spray. I would repurchase this one.

Demeter's Salt Air is a light feminine fragrance that has marine notes as well as musk which gives it that “soapy clean” aspect that so many people seem to love. IAt the risk of being completely unoriginal, it is a pleasant little perfume that is best suited for the summertime and being outdoors. Also, you can’t go wrong with Demeter’s low prices. The only drawback to Salt Air is, of course, that Demeter perfumes have notoriously short lives although this one has better sillage than most. For those of you who know the CB I Hate Perfumes’ line, Demeter Salt Air is a kissing cousin to CBIHP’s Mr. Hulot’s Holiday.

Salt Air would be a great gift for a teenaged girl that wants to smell "clean" or for a new mother that doesn’t want to wear heavy fragrances around her baby.

Here are the notes: marine, ozones, white floral, musk, driftwood, salt.

This is amazing! LOVE IT.
This is like walking on a white sanded wild beach, alone early in the morning.
its so comfortable to wear, ive even been putting it on to bed/( puts you into an easy sleep) plus people around you are reminded of a vacation, talk about attraction!
this is my new HG spray. its my current spring/summer scent. i also have Rain which is similer but i feel like it will be way better for the fall then salt air so im saving that one for now.

Love this--it smells like a childhood in summer. Like sea air, or even lake air.Very evocative perfume, really does pick me up! Found the small size cheap at Marshall's. One off for lasting power.

I grew up on the East coast and spent my childhood summers at a beach house owned by relatives. I completely forgot about this scent and was looking through boxes for something else when I came upon it.

Since I had been spraying things (Samsara, Maroc pour Elle and Losar) in the bedroom and my nose is on the fritz as I recover from a cold, I knew I'd never be able to smell this one if I added it to the scented cacophony.

I stepped into another room and spritzed this 4 times. OMG! I am back in Cape May, Wildwood, Margate and Asbury Park. It's early in the season, not really hot yet, a bit overcast, damp and I'm deeply inhaling the Atlantic. I don't get any suntan oil or other distractions some posters described. This isn't the beach, it's pure salt air and wonderfully captured.

I'm going to try wearing this but I think I'll wind up keeping it in a secret drawer so I can time travel back to my roots and a simpler more innocent time in my life.

God bless you Christopher Brosius!

Lovley fragrance, exactly like salt air. Warmer than I expected yet very fresh and with slightly better staying power than most Demeter fragrances.

NO, no, no. I am disappointed, I thought from the reviews this would knock socks off. Made me instantly sick. Weird, weird smell. Plastic-y and chemical-y.

I got this from the rave reviews, but I'm a bit disappointed. This is a clean non-offensive scent, however, it reminded me of air freshener or lysol. Oh well. Up for swap it goes.

I found this at a fancy little bath shop in Des Moines called Eden. It smells lovely! I don't necessarly get "the ocean" from it--it's more of a floraly sea-salt scent. It's a great summer fragrance.

Not sure why everybody complains about the staying power. It generally lasts well into the afternoon on me with only 2 spritzes. For $20 a bottle, I think that's pretty good.

I also found this at my local Marshalls but put it in a drawer until today when I needed something light for a hot, humid NY day. I know Demeter's scents are fleeting but if you saturate a cotton ball with the fragrance and tuck it into your bra, the scent will last longer. After three hours I can smell the fragrance still. For $19.99 (4 oz.) it is a good deal.

I've looked for this forever and finally snagged a bottle on ebay for a great price. No, it doesn't smell exactly like the beach but I've found a great way to recreate scents that remind me of it. I first apply The Body Shop's coconut body butter and then spritz Salt Air and Pina Colada all over. Once it dries, the combination smells amazing and really lingers. The mix of coconut, salt air and pineapple reminds me of lounging on the beach with a pina colada in hand. I will definitely be wearing this all summer!

This smells incredible. So fresh and clean! After moving to the Midwest from living on the West Coast, I was looking forward to reminiscent aromas of the ocean. Demeter's Salt Air smells great, but not like Salt Air (to me). It's one of the only non-foody Demeters I really like. A must try!

Ehhh....it's ok. It really does remind me of the ocean, but it's just not the kind of perfume I'd wear. I'd really like this in a candle or room fragrance. Also, as true for all demeter, lasting power stinks.
