I am using this for my body only, not my face (for that I am using MyChelle Unscented Sunblock). I read the comments below and realise most of the negatives arise from people who are using it on their face. I can understand why - this sunblock is not totally grease-free. It does leave an emollient film on the skin, but it is not oily. I like it for use on the body, makes my skin smooth. As for the sunblock capabilities, I have not used it out on a hot day out at the beach/ for outdoor sports, etc, so I can’t testify to that. I am using it daily as a sunscreen which is perfect. Keeps my skin fair, moisturised and burnt-free. I would give it "five stars" after a test at the beach or on one of my tennis sessions. Overall, a great buy because of its price (US$ 6.86 for 4 oz), 100% vegetarian ingredients, no animal testing and NO oxybenzone. Use my code XOV812 at iherb.com to receive US$ 5 off your first order. Cheers! :)

Hello all!
Like others mentioned, I tried using this product for my face. First of all, I really wanted to love this product. The smell is AWESOME and it feels pretty good for the most part. It didn't leave me any white streaks. However, although my face was clear before applying this, I started breaking out all over my face. My forehead got super shiny too!

I gave it some time, but I now know that this product is not for me. If you love the smell and aren't going to use it on your face, then maybe this is for you. HOWEVER, if you want an organic sunblock you should know that this is NOT (I wish someone told me this). This sunscreen has "phenoxyethanol" which isn't good for you (look it up on google) and Fragrance (which is unclear what they exactly use).

Please don't be decieved into thinking that this is a 100% organic or natural like I did. If you don't mind this, then maybe you might like the product.

started using this on my face when i ran out of regular spf face cream...works pretty well, though it is a little rich for the face. has been good for the pennsylvania winter so far!! will continue to use in the summer for the rest of my body and face when visiting the beach and pool.

pros: great scent, natural formula, good sunscreen protection.
cons: a little rich for the face, but did not cause any breakouts for me.

This moisturizing sunscreen smells fantastic. I think that most of the bad reviews come from people using it on their face, which is not how I think the product was designed to be used. As a body sunscreen it cannot be beat.

The smell is great, the spf is right, I love most products by Alba but this is waay too heavy and greasy for my fact. I ended up using it just for body, sometimes, even that was heavier than I'd've liked and most of it ended up expiring in the tube.

This smelled good, and I liked the texture, but it was just too oily for my skin. My skin looked really greasy after, even after rubbing it in for several minutes. Darn.

As much as I love the scent and the way it softens my skin, I have a ton of new freckles on my arms since I started using this as my daily body sunscreen. What a pity, especially because I realy did use it daily because I love the smell. I should point out that I am very pale, but only have sun exposure during work commute. On days I'm in the sun for longer periods of time I use a stronger physical sunblock. I hope they improve this to be truly full spectrum.

I got this in a sampler kit. It is very thick, but do not be fooled. This spreads easily and absorbs with only the slightest hint of a scent. I would buy a full size of this.

I really wanted to like this product. For one, it doesn't smell like most sunscreens I have tried to date. And two, it was very easily to spread. But alas, it was too rich for my oily face. This would be excellent for the winter, when the air is dry and my skin is drier due to the lack of moisture in the air. I guess this product is going up for swap.

With my sensitive skin problems, I was hesitant to try this, but it came in a little AB kit I bought, so I finally broke down and tried it. I put just the tiniest little bit on my cheeks, where I was driest. Oh, the lovely feeling! This is such a luxurious cream, and it made me look all dewy. I quickly started massaging it onto my entire face with no irritation (no small feat with my skin). I was in love! But then a few days later--I broke out. How sad! For people with less finicky skin than mine, this would be wonderful!

This is an excellent product. I bought the hawaaiian kit for 11.99 at a whole foods and this is my favorite item! It has the spf 30 (stable, schmable, who cares!!), it has a great texture, yummy scent, but the best thing about it is that it leaves a glowy (not shiny) sheen to my face that I just love. Full size is $10, can't go wrong with that!

Wow - I was really surprised what a great product this turned out to be. I only tried it because it came in my AB Hawaiian kit. I dotted it on my face since it's thick and thought it would be hard to spread - wrong! It spread so easily - like silk. I used it under my moisterizer in the a.m. and it made a great base for make-up. Wasn't greasy at all. My face felt moisterized and glowy. I just wish AB would come out w/ an spf moisterizer in the Hawaiian line for a.m. use but I can live w/ the extra step. Would repurchase.

Both this and the lavender a.b. sunscreen are fantastic. I usually find sunscreen heavy and greasy but this feels just like a great mosturizer that sinks right in. Inexpensive for a product of such high quality.

This sunscreen has one of the most delightful textures I have ever tried! It smells great, absorbs right away, and leaves a very comfortable velvety finish. I used it on my hands, where I am very finicky about greasiness/tackiness, and this product definitely passed the test!
