I gave this product a 3 because I like the microdermabrasion part (step one out of two) and the exfoliating beads are very small so it can really seep into and clean out your pores, making them appear smaller and tighter. I use the first step with my Clarisonic brush and I love it. However, I'm not a fan of the moisturizer (step two). It just sat on my face and felt almost rubbery on my skin, and later on in the day (when I used it in the morning) I would wipe my face and I could feel the layer it formed on my skin come off. It's gross. If I could buy just step one I would though.

I bought this product when I deployed to Spain...yes I know such a rough Air Force life...in 2003 and loved it. I hadn't thought about dermabrasion again until recently and not the product is off the market. I got another set a few months ago off of EBay and once again love it! I have deep pitted acne scars on my cheeks and smaller ones on my forehead and chin. The tiny scars on my upper cheeks are gone. I use it every 2 or 3 days, mask my face with a clay mask twice a week and try to steam my face once a week or more.

Like this product.

GOOD
- does what it does --> smoother skin
- quick results
- easy system to use
- doesn't bother my sensitive acne skin (even though I use benzyl peroxide)

BAD
- could be stronger concentration
- tingly sensation may be too much for some
- wasteful packaging

For some reason this breaks me out horribly, I get those tiny little zits that look like mosquito bites AND those huge painful ones that take forever to heal, no other skin care product has ever caused anything like this to me. It doesn't really fade scars either, it's a nice exfoliator but that's it.

I have very dry skin, roscaea and eczema so i have been scared to try peels or dermabrasion. My skin is looking dull and my pores are large and uneven skintone. Anyway i saw this for $7.99 in the dollar store, i applied it for 1min 30 secs and i had no irritation or redness, my skin felt amazing and i looked great... I hope i see more improvement.

Love, love, LOVE! My skin is made so smooth after I use the exfoliant and my pores are looking smaller everyday! I really think continued use of this is really going to help me unclog and tighten my pores! I always use a toner right after this as well...I think that's helping. Anyway, it's a great product and it has a very low price point which is always a plus.

Picked this up at TJMAXX for $5 so I figured why not give it a try. I'm sure it doesn't even compare to a professional facial but it does do a good job. It is two steps using the usual aluminum oxide crystals and the patented Biosaccharide Complex. The directions say to massage the crystals in for 2 minutes, I found this gave me a red face, so I cut it down to 1 minute and used more water. This is a great pick me up for dull skin. You will see results after the first use. I do agree that it is best to use in the shower as you can get your neck better that way also.

Can someone tell me why this wonderful product has been DISCONTINUED!?
I can not find it any any of my usual stores and it's no longer on L'Oreals website.....

L'Oreal has now changed the name to Advanced RevitaLift "Micro-Dermabrasion Kit

Still the same great product:

I use this in the evening, it's really great idea to use it when your in the shower, you really do need just a little bit of it, the box says a quarter size but a nickle size works for me, follow directions in the box or you might end up looking like you got a mild sunburn.

Since I use this in the evenings I don't use the sun block moisturize ( I give it to my Mom she loves it)

This stuff really works, I have noticed changes in my skins texture and even some fine lines have just seemed to vanish. My daily moisterizer goes on smoothly. This is something I will be very happy to buy again.

PS Works great on hands and lightly chapped lips also...

I bought this product months ago in 99 cent store for 99 cent of course!!before I read rave review about this, then I decided to use it 2 days ago,my opinion is the scrub beads is so soft unlike any other scrubs and not so harsh,I use it allover my body eventhough the instruction is for chest, arms and hands, i also use it for my face (dont do it or your face will be itch)after that my skin feels so smooth..and not greasy..for the moisturizer texture is very light which i didn't like much because i have very dry skin (even my face skin is oily with acne prone) ,I use it half tube allover my body,it smell green tea which is nice,i cant believe this product is US $25 on the market,I wont buy it again with that price, but with .99 cent, would defenetely buy again :)

This is an okay product - it's not harsh and the granules are pretty small. It doesn't spread as easily as I had hoped and the effect is minimal even though I scrubbed for well over 2 min (the recommended time) - I don't know if I just have tough skin but there wasn't really much difference.

It's good as an exfoiliator though and you probably have to use a little more than you think in order to distribute it all over your face effectively.

After trying many different micro-dermabrasion products (including Philosophy and Kiehls) this is my favorite and I will continue to repurchase. You can control the level of exfoliation by adding more or less water, and if you follow the directions, it really does slough off dead skin very well. I find that even the skin on my fingertips is smoother from applying it! Since I use this 2-3 times per week now, I have been going through it quickly and now use L'Oreal Men's Expert Power Buff Anti-Roughness Exfoliator, which is the EXACT same formula as this. I never used the Step 2 lotion from the kit, and was actually just using that basic moisturizer for elbows and heels as opposed to tossing. So now, I only buy the Power Buff. It is available on drugstore.com, and I am buying it through there now as I have a hard time finding it in stores lately.

I love this b/c it's not to harsh but I've only used it twice so I can't confirm any missing wrinkles.

I quite like this exfoliator, it's grainy enough for me to believe it's actually making a difference when I'm exfoliating my face. If its too harsh you simply add more water.

This is my first micro-dermabrasion kit and I love it! My skin looks radiant, smoother, and healthier. Really makes a difference. I like the post-treatment moisturizer as well. Highly recommend. Add this to your beauty regime! i am 35 with normal skin/ pretty dry in the winter though.

this is my very first micro-dermabrasion kit and i was a bit skeptical at first because i'm really self conscious about my skin. I have acne prone, semi-oily skin with lots of blemishes and old acne scars. im alway scared of products that would make it look worse than it already is!! after using this a few times i would say that it has been very beneficial, my skin is alot smoother and my scars seem less visible. i was worried that it would be very harsh on my skin but it is surprisingly VERY gentle (of course that also depends on how hard you scrub) and feels really good when you're massaging it on your face, it really feels like youre getting a good scrub and taking off all the dead skin cells. its a little on the expensive side (i bought it for 15, original price was around 25) but i think its a good investment for that extra step to great, healthy skin. I would repurchase again.

I got this for free after working a promotion from L'Oreal, but I do think it is very reasonable priced. This is a great gentle scrub, but you can tell that there's a difference after the product is used. I like the moisturizer, but I know that a lot of people don't. I think both products are very good, and the packaging is sanitary and smart. 4 lippies instead of 5 because although this product is very good, it's not life changing.

4oz product and 4oz lotion. Chest, arms, hands version. Local .99 store purchase but I've seen it on ebay for $9 - $12. Sleek silver box for packaging. Nice, clean, easy to use upside down plastic squeeze tubes are excellent for product control and hygienic dispensing.

I bought 2 boxes and ran home to check what MUA had to say about it. Like another reviewer, of course, I used it on my face. Wow.
I've been using this as a facial scrub for about 2 months (1 tube of 4oz lasts that long for facial use of 3-4 x week). In this time I have softer smoother skin. Definately brighter and old acne scars are history. Everything applied immediately after the scub is a super smooth application. Daily application of suncreen, foundation or a quick powder down is much smoother than before I started using this product. I have noticed i am using less foundation these days. Of course I stocked up (the Product Closet now holding about 25 boxes...hehehe...)

I've been sampling scrubs for about 6 months prior and this is my HG hands down. Without my ridiculous supply, I would repurchse at retail price.

One lippie removed because the lotion leaves much to be desired and smells none too pleasing imho. Because I work in an industry where I'm constantly washing hands, I haul them to work as a Throw Away lotion since I'll be washing it off shortly anyway. No Waste.
UPDATE: okay, I'm upping to 5 lippies as I had an allergic reaction to a cleanser which gave me an ezcema-like situation on my hands. After weeks of trying everything I could get my hands on (no pun intended) this was the only lotion that worked and healed my sore, dry, cracked hands.
