At first this was working really well. Like the smell, natural ingredients, no breakouts (which usually happens when i try something new), and cleaned really well. Almost wrote a "glowing" review UNTIL one night I used as usual, and my face turned beet red and started burning. What is up with that!!!! Definitely hit the garbage can.

I have oily, acne-prone skin and I was looking for a gentle cleanser. I choose this because it has more natural ingredients and it seemed to have good reviews.

I use this product when I'm in the shower after I've already removed my makeup, so I cant say whether or not it works well to remove makeup. When I first started using this, it dried my skin out. I stopped using it for a few weeks and when I started using it again, it didn't dry my skin out, so I don't know whats up with that...I think because during the time I started using this I was changing my skin routine.

I notice that this cleanser make my skin feel clean and a bit softer. It also doesn't irritate or break me out, which is always a plus. The scent is nice, but some people may not like it. To me it's a nice fresh fruity type of scent.

I am going it use what I have up, but as of repurchasing, I might if it is on sale. I definitely like it but I'm not in love with it. I would recommend it if youre looking for something that is on the natural side of skincare products that is gentle and cleansing.

Personally for a gentle cleanser for oily/acne-prone skin I prefer the yes to tomatoes facial cleanser. I find that it really made my skin softer and brighter throughout continuous use although I feel like its not as cleansing as the pineapple cleanser (but that may just be me)

After using a high-end department store brand for over a year, I decided to become more environmentally-friendly and switch to a product that did not test on animals nor contain animal products. I did my research and settled on alba facial products (their body lotion is amazing!) and ordered it online. I learned that the cleanser does not remove my foundation -- I had to SCRUB with a washcloth until my skin was irritated, then follow with the toner on a cotton ball, which was covered with foundation, then repeat, because my skin was still dirty. I then followed with a moisturizer, hopin that my skin was clean by that time. After using these "natural" products for one week, I now have bumps on my 56-year old skin for the first time in 3 years.

I am now using a 100% natural glycerine soap, followed by a wipe of witch hazel (with a touch of aloe) and a mild moisturizer. My alba facial products are in the garbage.

I have combo skin. I use this mostly in the summer and spring. Makes me feel refreshed, clean and doesn't make my sensitive skin break out.
I like the clean scent as well.
I use this for daily cleansing without getting dryed out.
The pump dispences a bit much but if you only push it 1/2 down it gives a better amount.

I use this as my first wash and then the cocunut cleanser as my second wash at night (I have realy oily skin). I aslo use it alone in the morning. this wash is nondrying and does not break me out. So gentel I can use it in the days after a peel and it helps my skin not look so dry and flaky.

This cleanser foams well and doesn't leave my facial skin feeling dry or tight. However, it does leave my neck feeling a little dry and itchy if I don't use extra moisturizer on it. I don't really use this to remove makeup (I use cold cream and mineral oil instead), so I don't know how well it works on a face full of makeup, but it does remove whatever traces are left after my initial makeup removal step.

My daughter said this cleanser left her skin too tight, so I won't say it works for everyone, but I've been happy with it. No skin irritation or breakouts since I began using it over a week ago. I do have to use a bit more moisturizer than I did with my creamier Alba cleanser, though.

This product works really well for me. It makes my skin clear and I havnt been getting much acne at all since iv been using it. It washes away makeup good too and makes my face feel so clean and fresh. It also smells soooo good I love taking a shower in the morning and smelling the amazing pineapple scent it has it really wakes me up. It lathers up nicely and doesn't make my skin feel tight or sticky after I wash it off like some other cleansers do. Also many of the ingridients in it are organic and natural and they dont test on animals so thats a plus! I would highly recommend this along with other amazing alba products

Of course everyones skin is different but this cleanser works wonderfully for my face. It smells great, feels great and leaves my skin very clean and soothed. It removes makeup like a charm and works very well with my clarisonic face brush. It is very affordable and comes in a nice thin bottle with a handy pump. It is a nice gel consistency that lathers nicely and rinses easily with no residue. I have acne prone skin that has a tendency to get dry and this is my all time favorite cleanser. I used to use St Ives cleanser but since they are no longer cruelty free I discovered Alba products and I love them.

I love this cleanser! It is gently cleansing but not drying in the least. I've tried many cleansers over the years and could never find a balance between cleansing and moisturizing, but this is perfect for my skin. I have acne-prone skin and use Retin-A Micro, and this doesn't irritate or strip my skin. I use in morning and night with my Clarisonic Mia and it always leaves my skin soft and clean. I also love that it doesn't contain sulfates or parabens, which I try to stay away from. I've seen previous reviews that have said it stings users' eyes but I've never had such a problem, even with the foam from using the Clarisonic. But honestly, I don't know what they expect if they get their facial cleanser in their eyes...probably most are going to sting. The packaging is fun and pretty, with bright colors. The pump works very well and I only use one pump each time I cleanse, so I find it to be very helpful. I got mine for around $12 dollars at Target and for something that works so well, I'm thrilled with the price and it lasts me around 3 months. I highly recommend!

My HG facial wash, (along with Avalon Vitamin C facial cleanser). Smells wonderful, I use it with my Clarasonic and it really foams up and deep cleans my face. I love that it's an enzyme cleanser, as enzymes help exfoliate your face naturally, and I never feel that my face is overly dry or irritated by this cleanser. I love that it's an all natural product, and doesnt have harsh chemicals like some cleansers do. Good stuff!

I bought this cleanser because I have oily skin, and from what I read, the pineapple enzyme cleanser is great for helping with that, as well as blemishes. I only used this product once, and that was enough to determine that it didn't agree with my skin. The morning after I used the cleanser, my skin broke out in a rash and a few blemishes. Also, right when I finished washing my face, I noticed my skin felt extremely tight and stripped. It's cheap and comes in a pretty bottle..those are the only nice things I can say about this product.

This is a nice face cleanser with all the good benefits of Alba Botanica (no animal testing/ products, natural, etc.) This removes everything on your face with little effort and smells really good, its non irritating but it can be a bit drying. over all its nice. I think this would benefit really oily skin better than combo or dry skin. You'd think with the fruit enzymes in it it would brighten your skin but it doesn't its just your average natural cleanser, no super powers here.

I've been trying to find a more natural face wash that didn't leave my face feeling like I hadn't washed all the cleanser off and squeaky. I thought this was it. It didn't make my face dry or leave me with a squeaky feeling. My face felt clean. But every time I use I end up with pimples the next day no matter what. I just got past some really bad acne and my face hadn't had a pimple for the first time in years so I really can't handle something that's going to make me break out. The smell is a bit weird but I got used to it and I didn't like spending so much for what little you get, even though it didn't take much for it to lather. I really wanted to like it.

I picked up this cleanser because I was looking for something all natural and cruelty free. I figured that it would be gentle on my skin and that it would last awhile. Well, so far I am ehh... not so thrilled with this. I have a number of reasons. 1. is the price. At 12.99 for 8 oz that is a lot of money. I am sure it would last me a few months or more, but geezz.. 2. It is a bit drying. My face feels tight and dry after washing. 3. I am getting small bumps on my face that were never there. I don't know if I am have a reaction to the pineapple enzyme or not. I have noticed more blemishes than normal. 4. CLOSE YOUR EYES! This stuff will irritate your eyes like onions do, aside from the crying. So far I am not too thrilled with this and it may be better for someone with really oily skin. This just doesnt do it for me.

My HG cleanser. This is the only cleanser that deep cleans makeup residue on my face. It's gentle, exfoliating, and good at preventing little break outs from clogged pores. I can see how this may not work for others, though. Some skin types may not like this.

I bought this because I was/am looking for a more natural cleanser with less chemicals. I have been having a few minor breakouts, my pores have been looking bigger and my skin has been oily. This cleanser did not make matters worse, but it didn't seem to improve it either. I'm still on the search for a chemical free cleanser that helps balance my skin. Oil cleansing worked for a while, but now my skin seems to slowly be getting worse. If anyone has any recommendations let me know!

Bought this a week ago online, and have to say it is one of the best, if not the best cleanser ever. Cheap, natural and a little goes a long way. Used to use an expensive cleanser, but this works better. It really does remove everything and leaves skin unbelievably smooth -like a baby´s skin.Highly recommended. And the eye thing- you don´t wash your face with eyes open. Keep them closed until the product is off!

I was hoping to like this, but it really stung my eyes. The "keep from eye warning" is not kidding. I will either relegate it to the shower as a gel, or water it down with some other cleanser. I got it on sale for 50% off so don't feel too bad.

I like the Alba coconut cleanser a lot more.

I was on the lookout a few months ago for a natural cleanser that does not contain any acne medication. Although I have some acne issues - my skin does not react well to the medications.

I came across this and I was like "I will give it a try."

So I came home and I washed my face and I fell in love with it ever since. It is not meant to heal/cure acne but it helps mine. I do not get crazy breakouts anymore. It is not drying to my face. It lathers up pretty well, and smells delicious.

I recommend this and I will re-purchase this as long as they keep making it.

On my 3rd bottle.

My holy-grail cleanser.
I have acne-prone, oily, sensitive skin and although this stuff does not contain acne preventing ingredients, IT cleared up my skin. I tried many "acne" types of cleansers and they all either did nothing or broke me out.

This cleanser smells fresh and pineapple-y. It lathers up pretty well. I love natural ingredient oriented products.

It can be pretty pricey for a drugstore product, but it is worth it. This can also be find out organic stores and health food stores.

I recommend this.
