I bought this lipstick ages ago at the airport - in search of something dark and dramatic. I came across this one, and it caught my eye because it's not your average classic red lipstick - this one is more a burgundy-red colour with a nice shimmer to it. I have been wearing it at winter time, and it looks very striking against pale skin. It gives a kind of vampy dramatic look with a burgundy undertone rather than just straight up red. This lipstick looks perfect with thick eyeliners and a sleek outfit or evening dress. It is definitely a winter colour. The lipstick goes on easily on the lips, but I would line with lipliner first. Not sure if I would buy it again when I run out - to me this is a lipstick for certain occassions and not every day wear... so it will probably last me a bit longer!! Also I'm trying to stay clear of companies that still test their products on animals.

This was my first sample of Dior Addict. I was in search of a new soft red mouth, and tend towards cooler variations of red, as a PPP. Wow, did my lips pop.
The feel is very smooth, almost slippery. Given the depth of the color and texture of the lipstick, you will need pencil to keep it in place. With a pencil (I picked up Dior Sweet Plum self-sharpening pencil), and a blot for daytime, it gave a deep, soft noticeable lip. Pretty, dramatic. Color will stain, but doesn't wear very long. For night, with nearly no blot and a thick gloss on the bottom lip - either theirs or one of the super-for-the-value colored superbalms from Clinique - you'll have more durability.
One last tip. With something this dark, and pencil, you can end up with unflattering wear patterns. My tip - line and fill with the pencil first, then bring on the stick. You end up with a great foundation for the color and better wear.

Has the typically smooth quality of the other Dior Addict lipsticks and while it looked nice by itself, it clashed bizarrely with my PPP skin - it wasn't noticeably violet and yet it was still somehow too violet. Combined with my dark eyes and hair it gave me a mixed-up goth look. Unusually, it also made my lips tingle.

Like the lipstick, but the color is a little too violet for my PPP skin and Auburn hair. After reading the reviews on this site I was desparate to try this lipstick and this seemed like agood color to try. I will purchase Dior Addict again, just not this color.
