I would love to say that this product was fabulous and made my hair shiny, but that would be a lie. I have just switched shampoos following on from Kevin Murphy and previous to that, Kerastase. Unfortunately this Joico Shampoo isnt for me. After washing my hair this morning, my hair looks dirty, is weighed down, lacks shine, and is difficult to comb. I am using the shampoo along with its Conditioner. Even when I spray good quality hair spray over my freshly blow dried hair, it immediately looks dirty. This has not happened with other previously mentioned products. Not happy now that I have two full bottles of these products with no use for them!!!

I've been looking for a shampoo for my thin, fine hair for some time. My hair tends to get a bit limp and flat on the second day between shampoos, but I don't like shampooing daily to avoid that.

This shampoo lets me wash my hair every other day, gives me volume, and cleans my roots without drying my ends. I absolutely love it. Thanks to everyone who previously reviewed it!

The accompanying conditioner is serviceable. Not great, but just fine if you like using shampoos with matching conditioners.

I really like this shampoo. It smells wonderful and my hair always feels very soft when I use it. It's pretty expensive but I would deff buy it again.

I am really liking this shampoo. I also use the matching conditioner. My hair is very soft and silky from using this. It lathers nicely, and smells fresh and clean. It rinses well and my hair is so super soft and smooth, making it easy to comb out after I towel dry my hair. I got this for super cheap at the beauty suppliers so the price was right!

This is the best shampoo i've ever used! it's a bit creamy but not heavy and when I was done massaging it into my head I could run my fingers through it before I rinsed the shampoo out! Moisturizes and detangles like a dream : ) smells amazing too <3

I'm a fan of the following:
K-pak
Pureology hyrdate shampoo/conditioner
Nioxin shampoo/conditioner

SO since I am using the Nioxin system which seems to be making my hair fuller/thicker, but also drying it out. I thought I would switch it up with something that will keep my hair silky smooth. I picked up the combo pack (Silk result shampoo/condition/thermal heating spray), so far I love it. I lightly blew dry my hair last night and tied it up, this morning i woke up with frizz free silky hair. I'm going to stick to this system and switch it up with my nioxin!

This is actually a very good shampoo. I got it with the matching conditioner. My hair is actually thick and tends to get oily. It has a nice pleasant scent,and makes my hair feel really soft and incredibly shiny. I took two lippies off because it seems to make my oily prone hair even worse. By the end of the day, it already looks dirty. I probably wouldn't buy this particular type again because of that, but Joico products have proved to be good for me.

I don't always understand the hype around salon brands. This shampoo is just average. No better than my drug store brand. A few times it gave me bad hair days after using it. I would not bother buying it again.

For a shampoo that is marketed for "fine/normal" hair and boasts "touchable softness without weight", this one proves that you can't believe the marketing!


I used this shampoo along with its matching conditioner. It left my hair weighed down at the crown, dry at the ends, frizzy, stiff feeling and hard to detangle.

My husband and daughter tried it and hated it as well.
No better than a $.99 drugstore product.


My hair is 1c-2a/F/ii - fine, color-treated, normal with dry ends.

What a great shampoo my hair stylist recommended after I told her that I want my hair to be straight and frizz-free ! cant say enough about it! my hair used to be frizzy and curly I assure you my friends will attest to that as well! 6 months after continuous use! my hair is unbelievably soft ! no more frizz what so ever ! it wont even curl anymore! and i dont mind that since I always wanted silky hair! my hair was at some point in my life very straight I wouldnt say asian straight but straight and now its back to that and am extremely happy! It all needs is time nothing works overnight people! patience! GREAT I always stock up !

This is a really good shampoo. I have fine, naturally wavy hair and have had a really hard time finding a shampoo that doesn't dry out or weigh down my hair. This shampoo has given me more good hair days than any others that I have tried. I would definitely purchase this shampoo again.

After being a Joico K-Pak fan for ages, I saw this appear at my salon in a combo pack with the conditioner. I have used it for several years now. (FYI, my hair's texture is fine, it's naturally straight and very thick. I have had highlights for years). It does what I want from a shampoo; cleanses well w/o drying my hair or scalp, is gentle on my color, has no offensive fragrance. It does contain silicones, so I clarify about once a week out of habit. A bottle lasts me a long time and is a good value. This is my 2nd favorite shampoo after PM's Color Care line.

I liked this shampoo: a nice pleasant smell, good cleansing too. I used it along with Silk Results conditioner and my hair felt very good, nice and soft, although not too shiny. I thought the combo gave nice results to my hair but nothing spectacular.

This was recommended by my hairstylist and I've been using this product in conjunction with the Silk Result Conditioner for fine/normal hair for over five years. My hair is naturally straight in good condition, and I dye it every two months or so. A minimal amount of this product lathers up very well (I hate shampoos that don't lather) and cleanses my hair without over-stripping it. Leaves my hair soft and doesn't seem to weight it down. I get the best results when I use it in combination with the Silk Result Conditioner for fine/normal hair. It shares the same scent and new packaging as the matching conditioner. On occasion, however, I will substitute Head 'N' Shoulders volumizing shampoo when my hair is really icky - like after a day at the beach - to get it squeaky clean, but I prefer the softness this imparts to my hair. This is my HG shampoo!

I got this for $5 at Marshalls and so far, I love it! It makes my feel wonderful and this is the first shampoo that moisturized my hair enough so I could blow dry my thin hair without getting big poofy hair! Although I got it quite recently, I think I may repurchase this.

It does what it says . Cleanses without over-stripping hair . Lathers well . Gives mild conditioning and smoothes your hair down and prepares it for the Silky Result Conditioner . Also because it cleans so well I find that I only need to wash my hair every 3 days(in winter) as opposed to every 2 days which is a good things when you have super-long hair !!!

I really like this shampoo (and the conditioner too, and I find the best results using them together). It cleans my hair without leaving it squeaky, wich I like for everyday. I have curly hair and usually use specific products for that purpose, but when I use this shampoo and I'm going to stay home, i can leave it without any products and my hair will still have nice, shiny curls.

so basically, i am OBSESSED with this shampoo + conditioner. it's not even a joke. what i love about it is:

the packaging. i mean it's nothing special, but it's nice, which is always good.
the scent. i really don't know what it is, but it makes me feel so calm and comforted!
the lather. as somebody mentioned below, it has a mild lather but not too much, which is the sign of a quality shampoo.
the results! i cannot begin to describe how silky soft this makes my hair! because my hair is fine, it often gets tangled. but this conditioner gets knots out like nobody's buisness.

for sure my HG.

I bought this product on the advise of a beauty supply store. I liked the shampoo and it smelled nice. It seemed to work well on my hair. I would buy it again if I needed to, as Joico is a decent line but I like other professional lines better.
*edit* 121307: I've decided never to buy this again. I've found otheer shampoos to be much better than this.
