I usually apply this lotion a little bit after I shower since I feel that it's not that easy to apply when my skin is on the dry side. I use it on my arms and shoulders most of the time and I love the glow it gives my tanned skin. I try to not put a lot as to avoid glitter overload. Unlike the other reviewers, the scent doesn't really bother me much. I guess it just depends on how you're sensitive to smell.

My only gripe about this product is that it covers my hands with sparkles--hard to wash the sparkles off too. This lotion smells great and look great on too! I love it, but it is a bit expensive for a drug store product.

I was so excited to try this but I was disappointed. If you really are medium or dark skin this will not do much for you. It comes out of the bottle a light peach color. It gives your skin some nice shimmer but not any color. I think this might work better on someone with really pale skin. If you already have tan or dark skin don't bother. I did like the smell however.

I love this lotion! It gives my already tanned skin a beautiful glow ~ especially along the front of my legs. You can definitely see the "shimmer" (I wouldn't call it "sparkly") in the sunlight; in darker conditions, it just gives you a really nice glow. For evenings out, I mix this with my favorite bronzing gel, use it on my legs, arms (especially nice on shoulder area) and a bit around the cleavage ~ it looks fabulous!

I have medium yellow toned skin and I have been very anxious to try this after seeing all the ads in the magazine. Well, thanks to my dear big sis, JoanB, I got a sample to try. First, the good points: it looked lovely on me. I liked the soft golden shimmer that shone from my legs. I felt like a fairy! Very pretty looking. It's also nice that is is a lotion and shimmer powder in one so there is no need for separate products. Now, the bad points(here is where I explain why I only awarded it 2 lipsticks): I can not stand the smell and neither could other people. It smells plasticy powdery. Yuck. DH said it smelled like a baby's diaper. Riiiiggghhhttt---that didn't make me feel too "fairy" like. lol. Also, like the reviewer down below, the scent made me sneeze. I also ended up with a *lot* of shimmer all over my hands--must more on my hands than my legs. But, I don't think that would have bothered me so much if the scent of the product was better. I will not repurchase this as I think I will buy a better smelling product.

This product is cool now that Nivea finally made one with gold shimmers in it, rather than the silverish ones before. I promise.. you don't have to have medium to dark skin to use this.. I have the palest of the pale skin, and I think using this one rather than the one for light skin, really adds a little nice color to your skin and makes it look SOO healthy and beautiful. Very good stuff.

This is a shimmer with flecks of copper/gold in it. The lotion is fine but the smell gags me for some reason so I have to mix it with a lotion that I like. It doesn't come on on my clothes all that much and that's the main thing I look for in a tinted lotion of any sorts and the staying power is 8 out of 10. Looks excellent on any tanned/dark body.

I'm on the fence about this one. It does flatter my skin (NC30) better than the original lotion but it is a little too sparkly for my taste. And the sparkles look a little yellow/gold. I dilute it with regular lotion in order to make it more wearable. I definitely wouldn't wear this stuff during the day but it's fun for nights out.

I'm actually a PPP w/yellow undertones, but I love this even better than the original for fair skin. This gives the skin an awesome glow, in the sun, you can definately see obvious shimmer, but it's a really nice product. Makes my legs look better even without a tan. I will definately purchase the bigger bottle of this once I run out of my smaller one, but my one complaint is the smell, not at all pleasant and it doesn't seem to fade away during the day.

Very nice shade on my GGG skin. Adds a yummy tawny glow. *EDITED* After doing an arm-by-arm comparison, I was surprised to discover that the glitter in the Nivea is actually bigger than the glitter in the Jergens! I still liked the slightly darker shade of the Nivea, though. Still hate the powdery scent. :p

Nice item. I much prefer this over Jergens version. I like the fact that it is not overly moisturing and my skin does not feel the least bit tacky after I apply this. Now my skin has never been on the dry side so this will not work for you dry skin ladies unless you moisturize before you apply this. The amount of sparkle is perfect in my opinion. Not too over the top (I'm 40 so i don't want to really be extra sparkely),but you can see the subtle sparkles in direct sunlight as well as indoors (But you really have to look for them indoors). I bought a 13 ounce bottle at Walmart for 7.50 so the price is right. I will use this only in summer as I am fair to medium skinned without a faux tan and I do not care for Niveas version in the lighter color.

Why didn't they come out with this shade to begin with? Oh yeah, because they wanted all us darkies to spend money on the light version first. Oh well, this on looks a lot more shimmery than the other one...but I really don't like the smell. Minus one lippie for that.

Wow...what a lot of negative reviews! Me? I love it. If you don't see a shimmer, go out in sun. There are definitely gold sparkles (tiny) but they are there. I normally have dry skin and have been really pleased with the smoothness I see and feel on my normally very, rough dry skin.

yay for the fat sparkles infused into the lotion( the sparkles in this are bigger than another brand of the same kinda lotion @ Target.) nay for the nasty scent. leaves a dewy glow to my skin. seems top hide back of the leg cellulite. (awesome!) will get again despiet smell.

I ended up picking up the last small bottle of this @ Ulta the other day. I hope they don't quit making this or I'll be sad. :( I mix this with other bronzing lotions to give me a darker glowy look and spritz on some body spray to make it smell nicer. This is makes my skin look luminous and glowy esp for a night out when I show off some skin. This isn't made to be a great moisturizer but more like a body makeup.

I think I posted this in the wron g spot before...I love the effect this gives on my light olive skin. I am in my 30's, so I can't do obvious glitter without looking like I am trying too hard, but I the smell of this makes me sneeze repeatedly and resembles bug repellant. The male members of my family thought they smelled pipe tobacco. I wanna smell like a girl, not a guy going on a hunting trip! Rats!!!

I have to say I was really impressed with this. I wore this yesterday and went out last night and my skin was still glowing. It didn't looking glittery or overly shimmery but just very glowy and illuminated. Nice moisturizer as well. It really made my tan look nice. Cheap and affordable as well and no overpowering scent. Definitely a good one for summer.
