So one day I woke up and I was about to curl my hair when I noticed my hair needed more shine it just looked like blah. I didn't know what to do to it. Then about a week later I went to the store and found this hair mask so I decided to give it a try. It comes in a tub wich for me is very helpful when in the shower. The instructions say to wet your hair then apply the mask and put your hair up in a shower cap for 15-20 minutes. What I did was dampen my hair apply the mask focusing more on my ends then I wrapped it in a towel and got into the shower. I made sure the water was really warm so that the steam would help the mask out a bit. After 20 minutes I washed my hair and I didn't notice any difference. It just smelled good like the mask. After I styled my hair that was when I noticed my hair had a lot more shine and it had more volume. It looked healthy. I use it once a week. And my hair is always looking great.

I'm so sad this is being reformulated! I had no idea! I use this mask on my hair every once in a while when I feel my hair getting very dry. I put a good amount on and sit with a towel on my head for about half and hour. Then I wash my hair out with shampoo & conditioner. Make sure you do this or else your hair will be greasy and smell (unless you like the smell of brazil nut haha). It leaves your hair SO soft and repaired. I have dark brown hair and have been bleaching it for over a year. This completely repairs it. Definitely try it if you can get your hands on this!

This mask did very little to nourish my dry hair. But it did have a very powerful scent that I didn't like much. So it's a no-winner for me. Definitely cured me from wasting money on TBS hair products.

Oh how I miss you! A wonderful hair mask at a great price. This stuff would leave my hair looking fabulous for days after using it.

My only gripe would be the packaging. It was kind of a pain and I'd always end up feeling like I'd wasted product. Still, I am so sad that Body Shop is "reformulating" their hair care line and took this away from me.

i believe most people who ran into problems with this product have used it wrong.. unfortunately, with this product your not going to see results instantaneously. And yes, the tub is a big pain in the butt. However i've been using this for about six months now and my hair is soooo much healthier! i used to be bleach blonde for about 4 years, so my hair was....worse than dry, to say the least. after trimming and trimming and more trimming just did nothing, they suggested using treatments, this was the first one i used and i also bought the brazil nut define & no frizz for after the shower. The two together work pretty well, and the latter is also a heat protecting agent.
What i do is wet my hair, put the treatment only on the effected areas, wrap it up in my turbee twist (lol) and go watch some tv for about half an hour. I shampoo with an anti-residue shampoo from Neutrogena (that i wont be buying again because they test on animals), follow up with some live clean argan oil conditioner, the after shower stuff... and my hair is pretty good!

i only use this mask about once a week, if i even remember. oh, and the smell isnt that bad at all... imo ??

Very good product! I bought a tub of it months ago, and I (try) to use it twice a week. It really helps out with my chemical/heat damage. I highly recommend it!

i have to say, i love this product!!!! the reviewers who hate it have been using it the wrong way!
its a pre-shampoo mask, so you put on before you go to shower and shampoo + condition hair as usually.
i have extremely dry/damaged hair, this actually saved my hair.
it made my hair softer, smoother and the difference is defintely noticable!

Fortunately I tried this product as a sample from the Body Shop and didn't buy a full tub. I do like Body Shop products as a rule but this made my hair so greasy it was awful. I wouldn't use this again.

I have pretty dry hair, left it on for 20 minutes and then took it off but it was still dry. So I left it on overnight, and washed it off in the morning, it was STILL dry. Totally didn't work for me. Don't really like the tub packaging either. Plus the Brazil Nut scent is pretty overpowering - nice the first time round, but too heavy a scent to bear with the entire day. Won't be buying this again.

I have mixed feelings about this one. First off, I don't understand if someone is using this correctly how it could make their hair any DRIER! But anyway, I have waist length, colored and straightened hair. I wet it first than comb in the mask from mid length to the tips. Then I wrap it in saran wrap, a towel, and leave it in for a couple of hours before washing it out with TBS honey shampoo followed with the matching conditioner. It makes my hair feel softer and smoother, but it's not the best hair mask out there. Plus even after washing and conditioning my hair it still has a very strong brazil nut smell that I'm not fond of. Also, since i don't use this very often, I find the tub unsanitary. I think this should have come in a tube...I love tubes. Anyway, I don't hate this but I don't love it enough to buy it again.

ok this is a bit of a tricky one as you have to get it right or the outcome is horrendous. i have had a few times of using this as a conditioning mask in the shower after shampooing but before conditioning to end up with waxy lank hair that looks wet even when dry due to not reading the instructions properly! esue washing hair all over again!

firstly this is a pre shampoo treatment, you need to shampoo it out to get rid of everything. so i stuck with this and tried again last night i had a shower and just wet my hair, rung it out, slathered this on and went to sleep in a shower cap, this morning i shampooed it out including the lengths of my hair which i dont normally do as i dont want to dry them out and finished with a long rinse and regular conditioner. My hair felt really really smooth not that fake silicone smooth but the smooth where you know it has made a difference to the condition, that lasting smoothness. I dont know why this product has been rated so low as it is a really good product.

i adore the smell, its a slightly spicy herbally scent that lingers on your hair. and i love it, its very unusual and i can see how not everyone would like it so smell this in store 1st!

i have fine hair but lots of it thats long and wavy and i really really like this mainly because it feels like it has really penetrated the shaft and not just coated it like so many do.

Oh no to this product! It made my hair more dry than it already was! Plus it smells awful!! When I glazed it over my hair, roots to tips for 15 minutes, it felt so smooth and I thought guarantee this will nourish my hair. After rinsing it out, my hair felt so chalky and dry. I let it air dry and combed...still dry! Not even a hint that the conditioner has been in there!! I mean the price isn't bad, the packaging quality is nice...big, wide jar. But still.....Big no to this product. And if you want something that actually works...I would recommend staying away from this one.

It wasn't a bad mask. It had the nastiest smell though, think strong old lady perfume, that lasted. It wasn't bad, but I had to leave it on over night for it to really work. I put it on wet hair my third time, and it did nothing, just slopped and slid off. Dry hair before shampoo or shower and you're set.

The Brazil Nut line doesn't seem to work for me. The salesperson said this would be best for my straightening-perm and coloured damaged hair. Did nothing. Just like some of the other reviewers here, I have to agree-- I think it actually dried out my hair instead. I even left it on overnight, as per their suggestion, but still, even with several weeks of following up with the matching shampoo and conditioner, I got zero improvement. Smell was nice and gentle, though, but really, that's all I seem to get from Body Shop products.

This a great product, if used properly. I did not use it correctly the first time and just put it on as a regular conditioning mask and made my hair all tangled, could not comb the product through and actually had to wash and condition again...voila...fab hair. That is when I read the container and realised it is a pre-shampoo treatment. Used this way, the hair is very soft and smells delicious. This works for me and I have coloured and chemically straightened hair. I also use the olive or honey shampoo, honey conditioner (brilliant), billberry leave in, madademia nut straightener and grapeseed serum. All are amazing and totally transformed my hair. I am normally a haircare snob and only use pricey professional products, but all of these work better than anything else I have used and the cost is very reasonable, especially if you have a members card.

This smells gorgeous! Leaves my hair really soft & silky. My hair even looks good when I don't straighten my hair, unlike the usual frizzy/thick look.

I usually leave it on my hair for at least an hour, wrapped up in cling film & a towel. Have also used it as an over-night treatment.

It's very average product and it's not that cheap at all. I expected alot more.
I have dry, coarse, color treated hair, so i thought this mask would suit my hair well and would improve its condition - i was said this stuff would give my hair softness, shine, manageability, strenght.
Actually, the results weren't so good. My hair was still on the dry side, still with flyaways, not even a lot shinier. It only seemed to be quite thicker (maybe just heavier?..) I left it for few hours.
Not good enough to buy again, any shea butter based mask does a better job to my hair.
P.S the smell was unusually strong, a little bit like incense to me. Also the package seemed cheap.
