Love this color! I have been told by half the SAs and makeup consultants who have looked at me that I have warm-toned skin; the other half have sworn my skin is cool-toned. This Khaki Grey is a true, beautiful neutral and one of the few products which has ever looked perfectly suited to me. I use it as an eyeliner on the upper lids only. With mascara and tinted moisturizer it gives a very natural but "finished" look. Love.

I use this product as a brow pencil instead of what it was marketed for because the neutral gray color is perfect for my very dark brows. My brow hairs are soft black and anything brown based just looks weird. This is a medium gray that has no red undertones. It comes in a twist up self sharpening pen applicator. The only gripes I have about it are: the product is a bit too soft for use on the brows and the tip is a bit too wide to draw individual hairlike strokes but since it is not made for use on the brows I guess those issues can be expected. I use it mainly for shading or filling in occasional gaps in my brows and with that, it is perfect. Lasting power is average on my oily complexion. I might repurchase if I don't find an actual brow pencil in this same color.

I liked the color, and I liked that it was easy to apply. It wasn't too waxy, or too hard, or too soft. Also, it didn't run. However, it did fade quite a bit. A couple of hours after application I could barely tell I had anything on. So overall it was fairly good, just not for me.

I use this as a Brow pencil. I thought the color looked more natural on Asians, than Black or Black Brown. It's not long wearing but it's convenient, no sharpening and cheap.

Since I love experimenting and trying out new products, I rarely do repeat purchases of a single product over and over again, but I've made an exception for this eyeliner. Truth is, although CoverGirl has marketed this as an eyeliner, they should have marketed this as a brow-pencil instead, because it's the bomb-diggity.
I'm Asian with an olive-based fair complexion and I've tried countless browns, near blacks, and taupes for my brows. I've had so much trouble trying to find a pencil that doesn't make my eyebrows look drawn in (as much as that may be the truth). BUT THIS IS THE ONE, GUYS. THE ONE. It makes my eyebrows look like THE TRUTH.
What I makes this product so genius is its color. The warm, almost-brownish grey is so natural when applied with short, light strokes on your brows. I could see this color being very flattering on those with cool-toned hair: ashy blonde, chocolate brunette, and deep brown/black.
One problem though, the packaging seems a bit faulty. If the pencil twist-up mechanism becomes broken, no product comes out. And it's such a bummer. I'm working on trying to take apart my first pencil, but I've bought a spare in case. Still, you MUST try this pencil out. It'll save your brows.

NC25 here. What I love most about this eyeliner is the small point. I don't have to mess with sharpeners. Being a busy mom that is a nice perk. I ended up with this grey khaki color. I used it twice so far....the first time I thought the shade was much to light for any real definition. The second time I used it as a base eyeliner then tapped on a PF brownish plum eye shadow over it and it looked absolutely beautiful. Not over done. Just right for daytime. I like this style of eyeliner but I think I will try a different shade next time.

The eyeliner didnt last on my eyes very long
A hour after I put it on it smudged and didnt look good at all.
When i put it on my water line it didnt even last a hour, I looked like a racoon!
It might work better for people with less oily skin

I was looking for a lighter color eyeliner, as black and brown look too harsh on me. This is the perfect color, a warm gray, and very flattering. I don't like a sharp line and this smudges nicely. It is an automatic pencil, so no more sharpening and wasting product. The only thing I don't like is the little plastic cap over the smudge tip. I know I will lose it!

This is a nice, basic eyeliner. It looks great with blue eyes. It looks mostly grey/slate.

The packaging on my eyeliner says "Queen Collection". I really liked the pencil until I read that Cover Girl tests on animals. The pencil is not grey/khaki in color, it's taupe and a great color. I was going to give this a 4, but I am going to have to give this a 1, due to the animal testing. I am an animal lover and I have two fur babies and I will not buy this product again...

I love the color. It's extremely versatile. I like that it smudges easily, as I don't like a heavy liner. I have hazel-green eyes, and can mix it with browns, purples, grays, and green eyeshadows with no problem. I hate, however, that CG tests on animals, and would appreciate any suggestions for a comparably priced and animal-friendly alternative to this CG khaki-grey eyeliner, as it is truly the only color I reach for everyday.

My search for the perfect brow pencil is over. I have dark ash blond, light brown hair, and sparse brows. EVERY "taupe" pencil I've ever used on my brows is too red. Count them: MAC Lingering, MAC Fling, MAC Dirty Blonde, Anastasia Medium Ash, Anastasia "universal light" brow pen, Dior universal brow crayon... the list goes on. Oh, they're passable, but on my olive skin any red tones glow like a beacon, so even the tiniest smidgen of red shows up. Finally, after reading MUA reviews of a now-discontinued brow pencil with "charcoal" in the name, I decided to look for some warm grey pencils at the drugstore to see if they'd make good brow pencils. I picked up this pencil in shade 215, Grey Khaki, figuring it would make a good eyeliner if it didn't work for my brows. O, serendipitous discovery! It worked! The shade is a perfect dark ash blonde/taupe, with NO red tones whatsoever. It wouldn't work for light ash blondes, unless they have dark brows; it's definitely darker in tone than my own dark blonde brow hairs. If you want a light brow look elsewhere. But if you want a medium-toned, incredibly natural looking taupe brow with zero red, this is your pencil. Downside: since it's sold as an eyeliner, it's softer than most brow pencils. It applies easily but will smear if you rub your brows. I use MAC Beguile (one of those eyebrow "mascaras") over it to set the hairs, and then just don't touch my brows. That way, it wears all day.

I truly love this eyeliner! It's a soft greyish-brown that looks fantastic on my upper lash line. I have brown eyes and this somehow brings out the golden undertones in them, though I don't know how, because neither grey nor brown do that... but this does. It doesn't smudge on me, and it doesn't melt to my lower lash line either. It stays put all day (and usually, "all day" for me means about eight or nine hours), without a primer. I use Maybelline Full n' Soft mascara, and with this on my lash line, my lashes look very beautiful, and it just sort of melds with everything it needs to.
I use this for a daily look, though I wouldn't recommend it for more dramatic looks.

Okay, bear with me, but this is my favorite brow pencil! I have dark brown hair with pretty light eyebrows and every shade of brown I've tried just looks wrong (almost red) on me. This has been my go-to eyeliner since high school because it is light and natural for everyday and brings out my eye color and now it is my HG brow color! Not to mention it's waaaay cheaper than Anastasia.

Okay Covergirl I love the self sharpening and it is a tiny, tiny point but it does not work for me. It is too light. I bought the Grey Khaki and I am very fair skin toned. So if this is for a light skin toned person how much lighter. Paper white? I am pretty darn close.
But it is perfect for filling in brows if you have khaki brown eyebrows.
The tiny lines are perfect for drawing little brow marks and shapening them. In fact I wonder if this is for brows and not to be used as an
eyeliner. ??? I wonder if I am mistaken in how to use it.
The pencil goes on easily, does not smuge or fade. It works but is
too light for my skin tone.
I won't buy it again. I love the self sharpening feature just not the quality.

This product is a love/hate thing for me. When i first brought it, it was like a dream comes true but once i had it for a while t started to SUCKS ! IT didn't last long enough for me ( two weeks) what the HE**? The color pay off was fairly decent i give it that but it was such a horror to take off i just can't keep on rubbing and tearing out my eyes like that. It seem to always always breaks too so the whole pencil seem like a waste. From now on i think i just gonna have to stick to liquid eyeliner !
And also a further note: covergirl test on animals ( rabbits, chimps, etc. ) please stop funding them to do further reasearch on these poor, gentle creatures.
