edit: Guys, try this as a lip tint! it works beautifully!!!!
----
This is the perfect bronzer--long-lasting, blend-able, natural looking finish, and the colour is perfect for me. And it's so cheap and easily available~ It looks so pretty. With foundation, bronzer is a necessity, because my face looks "flat" and too "done" otherwise. Also, i tan very easily, and adding this step in evens out my complexion, in case the foundation has become too light.
.
You MUST try applying it with a blush brush, just buffing it in circles, it will be much easier to blend & distribute evenly. The end result will be stunning. P.S. I've had the same tube for about 2 or 3 years - it is still quite full, and it never breaks me out

First of all, I use this product as a gel blush NOT as a bronzer. It is beautifully pink and I dab it on my cheekbones and on my lips and on my brow bone and it gives that perfect flushed look. I am olive-skinned, so I need a bit of pink to bring my sallow skin to life and this does it for me. Better than Tarte's Cheek Stain! I bought Tarte before Christmas thinking it would replace this Bonne Belle bronzer I've been using for years and it failed! This also lasts and lasts on the skin and lips. For the price you can't beat it!
EDIT - I recently rebought this and they have changed the color. It is much lighter now and no longer is very berry colored, so doesn't provide a flush to the cheeks. Darn! It was such a great inexpensive cheek stain.

At first I hated it. I am very fair skinned and this was way too dark! Then I read some reviews and mixed it in with my foundation and Its now ok. It balances out my already too white foundation from the wintertime.

Edit:Oh boo hoo!! What I realized over time is that where I apply this my skin breaks out every time. So sad to find such a great look and then discover it's acnegenic--probably the acetylated lanolin
HG product--where have you been? Brownish gel has a slight pink-rose underbase, the color you get when you "get a little sun." I put it on a skunk brush and go over the areas of my face the sun hits. Leaves a beautiful finish over my ss or foundation, looks like real skin. Not matte, not shiny, dries and not easily rubbed off. Very cheap, ordered from web site along with the blush cheek gels.
The perfect sunkissed color for my NW 20 skin, can build more or less as I choose. The perfect texture and finish for my summer-oily skin. And at under 5.00 a tube, what more could you ask?

I got this after reading the reviews, and because I haven't been able to find that perfect golden bronzer. I have very warm coloring, and when I tan, I tan a golden-yellow color, so I like to enhance the warm gold with bronzer. I really like the gel because it is so easy to blend, but it is very dark coming out of the tube, and if you don't blend it it can look very red-brown.. I really wish it were more golden but I haven't found it yet and it's still a beautiful bronzer.

This product has been a godsend for me! I'm a year round indoor tanner, but my face is really tan resistant for some reason, so I found myself always having to wear foundation to make my face match the rest of me. The problem is I have oily very breakout prone skin, so foundations make everything worse...enter Gel Bronze. This stuff is not the slightest bit greasy, fully absorbs in the skin, leaves the perfect natural tan glow on my face, and does not, I repeat, does not cause breakouts! I just apply a little concealer to trouble spots, set with a loose powder and my face looks flawless and polished. Bye bye foundations!

Nope, not for me. I concur with an earlier opinion that this might be for those who already have decent color or a more olive complexion. For me (light and cool toned), this showed up purple/red in the undertones. When I tried to mix it with lotion, I just got nothing. Alas, at least a fairly inexpensive bust for me.

I LOVE THIS STUFF! It is by far the most natural looking bronzer I've ever used. There is no unnatural shimmer or powdery mess. The gel is super light weight, sheer, and smooth. It dries in seconds to a gorgous shade of natural tan color. I love it because it allows you to build it up to the exact shade of sunkissed color you want, and it is NEVER greasy or dirty looking. It's 100% OIL FREE and the color lasts until you wash it off. Haha my boyfriend saw it on the counter and thought it was a sunless tanner.... when he found it wasn't he still uses all the time when we go out! HAHA He uses more than I do!

I did a positive review before, but I have to come back to say that this is more red than brown, it would be of better use as a blush.

I had a tube of this a few years ago and loved it, but couldn't find it again until recently. This stuff is one of the best beauty buys of all time. It's a matte (but not drying), translucent bronzer that gives you a subtle sun-kissed look without the supernatural shimmer/shine that most bronzers impart. And it's CHEAP, which makes it even better. It's like a less concentrated version of the Harushka gel bronzer (which will rob you of $42). Sometimes I mix it with a little lotion and wear it on my legs. Because it's a gel, it stains the skin, rather than sitting on top of it, so there's no problem with it rubbing off. I sometimes mix it with a little of the Tarte gel blush for a healthy glow on those mornings that I'm paying for the night before.

I imagined this to be one of those shimmery bronzers that I could mix in with some facial moisturizer and have perfectly gleaming skin lol, that's why I bought it *THAT and the fact that it was only .99 cents at CVS--so I thought why not, right?* Well, it was far from shimmery. I have nothing bad to say about this product, it just didn't work for ME. Although, mixed with the moisturizer on my skin, I didn't have to worry about foundation too much. It evened out my skin tone and didn't break me out.
Ladies looking for an instant, sun-kissed tan will love this. Enjoy.....

This is so inexpensive ($4) which made it all the better. I have been using Benefit Jiffy Tay which is too sparkly really and I would have never used the Jiffy Tan on my face--too shiny! The Bonne Bell is perfect for the face. Just a few dots blended on the cheek bones and brow bone and you look like you have a nice natural tan. I actually like the fact that it had a reddish base because when you get a tan there is almost always an element of red to it. Jiffy Tan is good for large areas and I can see how Bonne Bell would be more of a pain to apply to the whole body, but I just use it for my face and shoulders so hopefully this will last awhile. Its pretty concentrated so I might try mixing it with a little moisturizer for the body.

Great for the price! It's oil free so when I decided to cut out my makeup routine and go for a more natural look I just put this stuff all over my face and throw on some bronzer, gives me a great subtle glow. However I am already a big tanner, couldn't imagine how it would look if I wasn't.

I found my old tube of this in my Mom's makeup bag recently and forgot how much I loved it. I went out and bought a new tube for myself. I can honestly say this is the best makeup product that I have spent $5 on! This brightens up my cheeks and makes it look like I got a bit of a tan but a flush at the same time. This is more a stain than anything and it lasts all day on me. I like to put a bit of shimmery highlighter over top of it or I will add a peachy colored blush over top so it doesn't look so matte.
I like to start out with a small bit and keep adding more until I get the color I like. I pat this on my cheekbones or I will put some on a makeup sponge and pat it on that way. Be careful not to start out with a large amount of this or it will look like very orange-brown and not natural at all. Start with a small amount and work the color in but don't rub it in because it will disappear. Blend very well so you don't get lines or streaks.
Big bonus to this is that it is the only bronzer that does not make me break out. It never looks greasy or sparkly.
This is one of the desert island beauty products I could never go without!

On me this is a dark brown with red undertones. I don't use this on my face as I prefer a powder bronzer for that but it is still a useful product to have, especially for those who self tan. Because my hands are very dry I don't always want to apply self tanner on them before bed, or do but with so much moisturizer (so as not to get dark patches), that my hands will be noticeably lighter than the rest of me. When that happens I apply sunscreen to my hands, then the bronzer gel, but on the back of my hands only. I rub both hands together that way avoiding my fingertips or palms as this will stain them (all day and longer). It lasts a long time and makes my hands look tan while not looking dry. I have also used this as a lip stain under lipgloss. I had a Morgan Schick stick that was for all over the face plus eyes and lips which had a very similar color to this. Its a good substitute and like the other, when your l/g or l/s fades, you still have some color.

I had originally wanted to get the NYC gel bronzer, but CVS didn't bother to carry it, so I was stuck with this... I figured it would be about the same... Low-end brand vs. low-end brand, and between these two brands it's pretty much the same, right? Wrong. Well, actually, I'm not sure about the NYC bronzer, but considering it doesn't have a red undertone to it like this stuff, it's got to be better... (So says my friend who owns it, anyway.) The consistancy is okay, but I just can't get over the color in it. I put it on my arm today, to test it out... It looked very dark comming out of the bottle, but it turned out just to leave a red-brown very-not-there sheen over my forearm. This color red is not a good face color, at all, and this is definitly not natural looking. This is not what a gel bronzer is supposed to do. I know that, even though this is the first gel bronzer I've ever tried, because if this is all it did, people would not be making it because nobody would be buying it. Looks horrible on me. I'm NC 35-40. (Although my arm is much paler, maybe NC 25) I'm not sure why anyone would think this looks nice on them, especially on their face! Maybe they should ask for a second opinion... I'll just keep on looking for the NYC bronzer gel...

Nice item, for the money especially, but even if it were more it would still be very good. The thing I love about this is how subtle it is. It's super blendable, and while when you first squirt a bit out it looks harsh, it blends onto your skin and is so sheer that you can barely see if there are any lines you need to blend in better, so it's nearly mistake-proof. I have fair freckled skin, and I like the slightly red undertones, because to me it translates as a very natural sunkissed glow. I took one lippie away becasue over spf or moisturizer I had a tiny problem getting it perfectly even but I am pretty sure it was just me, and if I had left it as-is it would have looked fine. I am a maniac for natural- even if it's a crazy-fake color I want it to be blended in and look as natural as possible. I think ideally this would be applied on bare skin for perfect blending. More of a 3.5 than a 3.

This is very cute on and so cheap! I use a dab of this on my cheekbones over foundation to create a sunkissed, slightly rosy cheek. I pop some blush over it, and I'm good to go! Easy to apply, doesn't clog or stick in my pores, and lasts ages - I have no complaints with this. It is pretty much as good as my Lancome version, which cost goodness only knows how much more!
