I love this polish!! It's a shame that others are so disappointed with it. It is very very sheer, so wearing it on its own will not give you an opaque finish. I actually layer GJBMA over black and it looks just like it does on the bottle. A fantastic layering polish and a really beautiful blue. The black just makes it pop!

Talk about a late review - this is from the 2004 Greek collection! Better late than never, though, right?!

So, this colour is beautiful in the bottle - bright, fun, turquoise blue with hints of pink shimmer. On, however, it's a whole different story - firstly, it's incredibly sheer so that anything less than 3 coats looks almost sickly in natural light. I usually give up after about 4 coats to achieve an opaque colour...I'm guessing it would take 6+? The colour that does come after 3 coats, however, IS really pretty - it's an icy blue with prominent lavender undertones. This colour is shimmery, and does also look pretty layered over a more opaque polish.

For me, what makes this polish unsalvageable is the thin formula that takes HOURS to dry! I'm always amazed by how long my nails still feel sticky, even with a top coat - and the layers underneath take even longer to set completely. As well, this polish dries unevenly, which some patches looking more bare than others (the polish is sliding around, I'm wondering?). It also chips like nobody's business! Overall, not a great OPI polish.

Greece Just Blue Me Away is from the Greek Collection. I think in 2004. This color is a beautiful baby, light blue color with s tink of light pink that you can only see under a specific angle. It also has a big of silver/grey undertone. Look very pretty in the bottle.

But the application is very disappointing. Very sheer even after 3 coats. Can only give enough color on the nails. Only just become opaque. The finish is frosty. I don't mind every now and then for a clear clean look. It's definitely a cool tone color. Look awkward with my warm olive skin. Will not buy this again.

This color is SO beautiful. I like it more than Give me the Moon! Its just more vibrant, although most think its too pale. I like using two coats. My bottle has been around for awhile now (6 yrs!) (2004) so I added nail polish remover to thin it out. Anytime I debate a new color, I hesitate taking this color off. Im always in jeans , so its perfect!

OPI's Greece Just Blue Me Away is a semi-sheer light blue polish with a turquoise/lavender flash. Now, I'm not one to wear blue polish but in the bottle this is just beautiful so I decided to try it. When I was done with the mani it was beautiful. However, it was still see-through at four coats (but beautiful) so I had to take it off and layer it over two coats of Give Me the Moon. The application was perfect - smooth, streak free, no bubbles. I can't comment as to wear because I had to take it off after a couple of days because I really felt like a teenager wearing it. so I'm giving it two lippies because it's way to sheer to be worn alone unless you like sheer polish.

I have never been so disappointed with a OPI polish before. I was expecting it to go on like the color it shows in the bottle a fun, bright, summery teal. Instead it goes on a sheer watered out blue. After 3 coats it was still dull and sheer. Like all the OPIs it has awesome staying power... until I took it off for being so yucky.

So off to swap it went. The worst part is I swapped my Strawberry Margarita OPI for it. :(

I've not worn this colour for a while. I love blues, but this one is a bit disappointing as its too sheers as other reviewers have said. It's pretty enough but I had to put on 4 coats to make it look like the colour you see in the bottle. Nice summer colour, I would not buy again, as i find it too sheer.

I am always in search of the perfect blue nailpolish -- not too bright or tacky, but not too glittery. I LOVE this color. However -- as other reviewers have pointed out, the actual color on your nails looks NOTHING like the color in the bottle, which is a bright turquoise -- a color I would have never chosen without trying a friend's first.

One coat goes on sheer blue with pink undertones -- light shimmer but not sparkly. Two coats gives you more blue, but still steers clear of manic-panic punk. Subtle lavender tones, truly lovely.

Application is easy & typical OPI -- decent staying power, esp with a decent basecoat/top coat.

This is my HG blue polish -- but I give four lippies instead of five, because had I bought it expecting a shocking turquoise blue, I would be totally disappointed.

I picked this out last week for a spa pedicure at the salon. I wanted to get away from my usual pinks and reds and this bottle of polish started calling me... I wanted something to look cute with my brand new turquoise swimsuit. I was a little dissapointed in the fact that when the color is on, it is not as turquoise as you think it would be from looking at the bottle. It is very sheer. You at least need 2-3 coats of it. But voila...it is a pretty metallic sky blue. So far, it has stayed on with no chipping and all my friends keep telling me how cute and different it is. So if you are looking for something unusual and fun for summer, you should try Greece Just Blue Me Away.

Such pretty blue! i walked past this shade a dozen times at least, and didn't get it until i saw it on clearance at JcPenney. I'm so glad i did! it's got such and intense sky blue shimmer, and in certain lights it flashes PURPLE! my only gripe is that it's very sheer. i will probably layer this over an opaque from now on, or if i do use it without an opaque base i'll have to use a french tip to even out my uneven nailbeds. Perfect summer color, LOVE!

THE COLOR

This is the kind of turquoise color that's closer to sky blue NOT a true turquoise. IT's pale after one coat and the color comes out at 3 coats. It's very sheer. It is slighly opalescent, towards purple/white. It's sort of a neat color but it is very icy cool, not even neutral. It does not look really good on my toes, makes my feet look like I've died.

THE APPLICATION/TEXTURE

I wore this over Nailtek II Foundation ridgefilling base coat. The application was a bit gloppy, and the texture was hampered. I was unable to lay down a clean coat. This problem seems to be a function of my toenails, very ridgy and rough around the cuticles. I would most positively blame my toenails for this and I pose the question as to whether this problem would be resolved on tips?

THE WEAR

Not too bad on toes, three coats, and a layer of top coat. I expected a little bit better as I have worn socks over mmy pedicure... but maybe socks are worse on pedicures than are toes in sandals, nothing on top. I also wore nylons during the last 2 weeks, which never helps. However, if you didn't get this part, I have had this on my toes since Feb. 11 or 12... so it's been nearly 2 weeks. No chips, just some wear and uneven texture.

In all, I would say that this color is a bit too cool toned for me but I love its uniqueness! I may not even swap this, as it is kinda unique, but, if I lost it I wouldn't repurchase unless it was some sort of purpose or dress I was matching etc.

A very nice shimmer blue from the '04 Greek Isles collection. I like to layer this color with a base coat of "Galapa-ghost" for a more finished look (I also use a white pencil under my tips for a clean edge effect). The creamy base of G-G sets GJBMA up nicely and allows you to get more color with less coats (you'll get more of what it looks like in the bottle if you use a white base coat).

"Dominant Jeans" from the '05 Brights Collection is VERY close to this color.

Lovely blue shade. My grandmother bought this for me and I was very impressed. OPI is one of my top favorite nailpolish brands and this polish is one of the reasons.

I love this polish. It's really sheer, but that's what makes it cool. One coat, it's iridescent like a soap bubble. Two coats, it's baby blue. I've never had the need to go beyond that. A manicurist layered it over both pink and white cream polish for a wedding party I was in, and it looked really great. Not for everyone, but if you like it, you love it.

This product was really disappointing. Even after 3 coats, it was a totally sheer silvery medium blue. If I had been expecting a sheer polish, that would be fine, but I was hoping for some semblance of what I saw in the bottle. Is fine if you're looking for a sheer, but don't if you're looking for something more opaque and/or vibrant.

Its All Greek to Me was a disappointment. It looks like a vibrant Mediterranean Blue in the bottle, but even with a lavish spa pedicure using it at the salon, it did not have the oomph that I would have liked from a color like this.... This is soo not my style and was supposed to be a fun departure for me from my usual reds and pinks on my toes, but turned out to be a watered down version of what should have been an eye popping gorgeous blue. I love OPI polish- this one is a stinker.

I just think this polish is too sheer. It's not good as a stand alone nail color, however it works well as a tinted top coat, or something for a strange blue french manicure.

I dont think I could have hated this more. I was lemming a blue nail polish (namely this one) for monthd and I finally got this one. It looks beautiful in the bottle but its SO sheer when you actually use it. Its like you have to put so many coats on its not even worth it. Yuck....

The one thing I don't like about nail polishes is that how they go on may be different from what they look like in the bottle and that is the case with Greece Just Blue Me Away. It looks nice and turquoise and vibrant in the bottle, but when you put it on it's a sheer gray blue with pink sparkles that you'd have to wear 4 or 5 coats of to get it to be the color that you think you get from looking at the bottle.

All in all, looks good in the bottle, not so good when you put it on.
