I like Keiko Mecheri Paname quite a bit. It's a lovely fragrance for fall - spicy, but slightly sweet (because of the ambre I think), combined with the scent of anise/black licorice. It's a delicious, easy to wear scent that's paired perfectly with some fashionable fall clothing. I would repurchase.

Paname started out pleasant, a little spicy and green. And then it morphed into an indiscriminate fragrance that just smelled like "perfume" I couldn't pick up on the notes it was just artificial and strange. I would consider purchasing paname if the fragrance hadn't morphed on me. I haven't really found any fragrance by Keiko Mecheri to be FBW

This attacks my nose. Very green.

This is way too sharp and woody for me. I think it's the absinthe that is sharp...almost acidic.

KM ruined this promising blend of spices and absinth with too much powdery musk. Initially it was sickening to me, after 30 minutes it mellowed into something marginally less nauseating. Douce amere is better, even better still, if it's a absinth scent you're after, is Aroma M Geisha Green. Its closer to straight up boozy absinth/sharp anise than anthing else out there, IMO. It is clean and on point. It seems like most other absinth scents are dulled with elements that contrast and cover up.

Wow! I finally bought this unsniffed because I couldn't find anyone with a decant, and I am really glad I did. I was actually scared of the comparisons with Douce Amer, but it turned out to work for me....the only person's honey notes that I can wear are the Keiko Mecheri ones (a la Loukhoum). I'm not really getting honey in here, and I don't think it's in the notes list, but I am definitely getting the comores flower, which I love, and a nice, VERY light anise note. Fall's here, and I think this one's going to get a lot of play.

I adore most KM scents. They're crisp, balanced and work well with my body chemistry. Paname is an interesting scent similiar to SL Douce Amere. Of the two I certainly prefer Douce Amere. Paname is much more powdery and muted. If Douce Amere doesn't work for you, but you picked up nuances you liked, I would encourage you to try a decant of KM Paname. It might work well for you. Enjoy!

This is,how to put it kindly a very random scent glad it's a sample. It's a very unpleasant (here i said the bad word)combination of a sharp floral with a heavy dose of spices and a boozy absinth accord(and i love absinth)If you're into absinth try fou d'absinthe by l'artisans.mmmm for fou.

I already own Douce Amere by SL and this is almost identical. I prefer Douce Amere and so does my boyfriend because it has a creamier drydown.

Paname is yet another of KM's hommages to Serge Lutens' fragrances. This time to Douce Amere. I put one on each wrist and the opening is virtually identical, however, as with her other hommages, in the dry down I prefer the SL. In this case I find the dry down of Paname to have less of the honeyed, rich creaminess of Douce Amere. But they are undoubtedly extremely close.

Heavy absinthe/wormwood notes lend a distinctly green licorice feel to this scent, and vanilla and musk (and to my nose, a hint of lemon as well) add a sweetness and lend to a root-beer/cola feel. Interesting and unusual for sure, although not something I would wear too often.

I could see someone really liking this one, but it's not for me. That said, I smell some sort of herbal scent, and woods, and a little vanilla (only the tiniest drop). It's really interesting, pretty strong, very long-lasting. A nice fall scent. But a little too overwhelming for this girl whose skin loves to take a scent and amplify to the Nth degree.

My impression of this scent after the top notes settle, is a slightly minty cola scent. If you like the cola in Dinner By Bobo, but can do without the cumin...this one is for you. A soft, sweet cola scent with an herbal character. Reminds me of a cola you might purchase at a health food store made directly from roots and herbs. Nice gourmand composition from Keiko.

Overall, I thought this one was pretty ho-hum... not very interesting to me. I liked it, definitely not in-your-face or obnoxious, wasn't too sweet or musky or sharp, but it just wasn't interesting. I can't pick out the individual notes, but it's not anything I'd be able to smell once or twice and pick out of a 3-perfume lineup. Just sort of smells lightly sweet. I applied it (sample from Luckyscent) this morning and by 2:30 it has completely disappeared, which is actually not terrible.

I got a bunch of KM samples, but this is the only one I want to wear over again. On me it's kind of a soft, quiet absinthe, a little sweet, a little herbaceous - perfect for summer. I may buy this one...
