I can't believe I haven't reviewed this little gem yet. I've been using this for a couple of years (bought 2-3 tubes so far)....great product, non-drying, long-lasting, cheap - just a terrific bargain! Really does keep lipstick and glosses from bleeding and feathering. It's also odorless, colorless and tasteless (kinda like a good vodka, huh?). Get this ladies, you won't regret it! **UPDATE**Looks to be discontinued...the Sally's version works well too (at checkout counter, clear square tube, about $4.00)

This review is actually for NYC Lipstick Sealer. I have tried every "ever wear" lipstick on the market..problem is I have chapped lips, and a very bad habit of actually biting my lips and the long-wear stuff comes off in patches...very bad. This stuff looks like a bottle of nail polish. It really, really keeps your lipstick on, until you take it off with remover. Period. Trick is to apply lipstick, blot it, then apply this and hang around with your mouth slightly ajar for about 2 min. If you close your mouth too soon it gets tacky. You can't reapply lipstick or gloss over it or it sort of crumbles off..but if you leave it alone you will have perma-lipstick. Even for the chappies and lip biters like me.

I have been using this off and on for a few weeks. Today, however, I put it on underneath some MAC lipglass and ALmay Whipgloss (color combo I was making) at around 1 p.m. I realized at 6 pm--after teaching a 2 hour class--that my lips were pretty much still intact. The color was still glowing and no flakes or smudges. That is a first! I have gone through numerous lip treatments trying to find one that will stay on through 2 hour lectures. Even the MAC lipglass won't last that long w/o reapplication. It must be the NYC lip treatment. If so, HG. Will update...UPDATE: Yeah, this stuff is pretty good. It does grip the lipstick more and it just keeps the lips in good condition for most of the day. HG status awarded.

Great stuff! This lip treatment is wonderful as a regular lip balm or as a primer for my lipstick/glosses. No nasty scent or taste too. Lasts long as well, I've had my tube for almost a year now. For 2 bucks, this is a great product!

This does a pretty good job at keeping my l/s where it belongs. The other 2 reviews do a great job explaining this product there really isn't much more I can add other than you've got to try this.

I've been searching for a product to replace Coty's lip treatment StopIt! for years, and this is a reasonable substitute. It keeps my lipstick from running into the fine lines around my lips, and doubles as a nice lip balm. Not quite as long lasting as Paula Dorf Perfect Illusion, but since Paula Dorf is so expensive, I use the NYC daily, and P.D. for going out. Especially for two bucks, you can't go wrong.

This is a new product in the NYC line. Picked it up on a whim two weeks ago and what a nice little find! Worn alone, it's a nice moisturing balm. As a lipcolor base it's marvelous! It keeps my lipglass comfortable and in place all day. No bleeding! No icky white line! Makes lipstick glide on smoothly. One caution: use a light hand. It can feel too waxy if you use more than one coat. It's packaged in a swivel-up lipstick tube. My only complaint is that the doesn't swivel all the way down in the tube, so sometimes it gets nicked when you put on the cover. If you can overlook NYC's animal testing practices, this is a great find for $1.99.
