For the price of AUD$50.00 I expected something of better quality from Lancome. This mascara kinda reminds me of Amplicils which doesn't add much length or volume, texture seems to be quite dry and it flakes badly when I comb it with a lash comb, which results in me having to waste time brushing off tiny balls of black flakes all over my face. Also my lashes tend to droop as the day wears on, so it doesn't hold the curl that well after a period of time. It is also quite difficult to remove, definitely would not purchase this again.

Finally a mascara that gives my lashes volume, length, AND keeps the curl that I have just applied with my eyelash curler (as I have very straight asian lashes) AND that does not flake off or give me panda eyes. I play sport straight after work a lot and find this mascara is great at staying put for hours, and does not melt when you're sweating away. This product is fantastic and will keep the curl after you have curled your lashes unlike many others I have tried, including the non waterproof version of this. Some reviewers said this does not provide enough dramatic lashes, but I disagree. I guess it depends on how much drama you're after?

If you can afford this product, try it out. It is expensive $50AUD RRP over the counter but I have seen it on Strawberrynet for $29AUD! Not sure about the packaging - after a few weeks the lid doesn't seem to screw on properly which might contribute to drying out. I use it almost every day and it lasts approx 3 months (which is the recommended time for replacing mascara anyway).

I remove this product with L'oreal gentle makeup remover for eyes and lips. It works great.

My lashes - Stick straight, so I always use a lash curler. My eyes water and my lids get oily by the end of the day. My lashes are black, so as long as the mascara comes in black, I'm satisfied.


Waterproof/Oilproof? - Yes. Does not seem to cause raccoon eyes.


Adds volume? - No significant thickening.


Adds length? - No significant lengthening.


Holds curl? - Yes. When I crimp my lashes, this mascara does a fine job of holding the curl. Without crimping, does not provide curl by itself.


Removal? - Removes easily with WP remover (FYI, I used Clinique's Naturally Gentle Eye Makeup Remover).


Other comments - Goes on clump-free. Straight brush head. Quick drying. Soft lashes when dry.


Overall - Unspectacular but reliable everyday mascara, but at the high retail price, I'd rather stick with drugstore varieties. I have straight, Asian, black lashes. This coats my lashes lightly and doesn't seem to do anything, so I might as well skip using it at all, especially at the high end price. Probably best suited for gals interested in tinting their lashes, or for holding a curl with a natural look.

I felt it did nothing for my lashes - i have long lashes & mascara normally makes my lashes curl nicely. This didn't do a thing & as for trying to get the stuff off, i think this stuff wouldn't shift after nuclear explosion. A bit awful as no matter what i tried to remove it with, you could still feel it on your lashes the next morning

This is my HG mascara. I wish the non-WP version of this did what this does to my lashes b/c it would be a lot easier to cleanse at night. It's worth it to me though because when I use this mascara my lashes really are so long and curly that they look fake. Not fake as in "too much mascara" fake, but fake as in "her lashes couldn't really be THAT long" fake. And the black is a rich dark hue that adds drama. I especially love to do an eye with a little bit of cateye liner (up on the outer corner just a bit), matte cream shadow all over and matte sable in the crease. Finish with nicely groomed brows and the eyes are totally pinup. Love it! P.S. To remove all the mascara slather on Pond's Cold Cream and gently remove with a really warm wet washcloth.

I had a nice surprise with this mascara, since I had never used WP because I thought they would look too stiff, but this one looks luscious and you can cry, sleep and it won't smudge, but is really hard to take off, but it's so worth the trouble!!!

This is a True Waterproof mascara!! No smudge until you SOAK it with eye makeup remover ;I use lancome Bi-Facil, or Etude eye makeup remover- which i love more cause it is really cheap($3-4). The curling power is not that exceptional but the staying power is great!!! So I use this with shiseido eyelash curler(which is also my No.1 curler). My lashes are short, straight and black(I'm a Korean) but sometimes people ask me if I've got an eyelash perm when I'm wearing this mascara(even hours later..) - very complementary!! ;)

The reason I bought this mascara was because it was on sale for AU $10 and boy was I thrilled! I just need to use good lash curler first and this baby would hold and thicken my stubborn lashes for hours without smudge. It's realy really waterproof too.

WOW!!! I justo love this mascara, I was looking for a waterproof mascara since I am a contact lens wearer and I need lens drops ALL THE TIME, so with the regular mascaras I ended up with dark spots all over the eye contour. Flex WP doesn't damage my lashes and it curls them and lengthen quite a lot. I would definitely buy it again!!! I am willing to try HYPNOSE WP but it hasn't reached my country yet.

How the hell do you get this off your lashes?! Help me! This does not lengthen or curl my lashes, but it's a great everyday mascara, if you want a natural look. This is very waterproof---such that I can't find a cleanser or makeup remover that completely removes this from my lashes. Even when I think I've gotten it off completely, I wake up with a dark ring under my eye. I worry that the more I rub, the more lashes I will lose. I will only use during swim lesson, and maybe on a humid day.

I like this product. Curls my eyelashes pretty well but becareful of how you apply it coz sometimes it clumps up my lashes. If that happens, I normally just use a eye lash brush to separate my lashes...kinda annoying but I really like how it is WATERPROOF! No joke about that one.

I like this mascara but still not HG status. It holds a curl pretty well, adds volume and defines lashes too, but not much in the length department. Lancome was not kidding when they said waterproof either. This stuff is hard to get off and leaves black rings under my eyes even after washing my face. Too bad I won't buy it again because I'm still on my search for the perfect mascara.

Wow Lancome was not messing around when they said this mascara was waterproof holy crap!!
Bottom line about this mascara it does not curl your lashes it does not make them longer or make them thick!!
What it will do is make them hard as a rock and color them black!!
Now if you want a mascara to stay on for a day at the beach..well then this is for you!!
The only face wash that I have that actually kinda takes the mascara off is (CLean and Clear morning burst)and then eye make up remover.
I also do not have a clumping problem either with this mascara.

I really like this mascara; it gives nice lenght and a bit volume, and stays put all day. It even survives a shower if I'm careful not to rub my eyes. The only complaint is that it's really hard to remove, harder than any other WP mascara I've tried. Edit: I'm quite annoyed by the fact that this mascara (like all Lancome mascaras) dry out in only 6 weeks, so it's not really economical. I've purchased Sky High Curves WP in order to see whether that will work OK as well. Will still repurchase, though.

I was going to buy definicils waterproof when the SA talked me into FlexWP, since it was new. I never try on mascara in the store anymore after getting an eye infection one time, so its always hit or miss. About the only thing this stuff does is stay on. It was kind of clumpy, didn't lengthen, curl, or add much fullness. I returned this.

1. The mascara goes on smoothly for the first 2 months, but eventually dries out into little lumps that stick onto your lashes. Not very longlasting.

2. It does not have a very significant thickening effect.

3. It makes your lashes hard. Not very natural.

4. Good lenghtening. No clumps / lumps when new.

5. Curling... well I don't see much of that.

6. Does not flake.

7. It sometimes smudges, but generally it stays on ok.

8. Removes easily w/ eye makeup remover.

9. I would recommend this to people whose first priority is lengthening and can use this up in a short time. Max 5 months.

I recently purchased Flex WP, and am now hooked. The tube is elegant and equally functional. It makes my stick straight lashes way more curved, and adds some length without making them clump together too much. It also never runs or smudges, virtually indestructable, it stays put until you take it off. My only complaint, is the large price tag, about $25, which I find pretty steep for mascara. I will probably buy this again though. I recommend this to women who have thick, straight lashes, and are looking for separation, added length, and curl.

BEWARE! I need a waterproof for the rainy season and decided to get Flex since my GWP regular version works great. After work, I could see clumps forming and then when I tried to remove this with Lancome's Dual Phase, it wouldnt budge. It took dual phase, estee's take it off, and baby oil to remove this ...still had some stuck to my lashes which didnt come off for another day. TERRIBLE!

While on a trip to Cancun, I decided to try this since I need a
waterproof mascara for my swimming
adventures. Eventhough it is really
waterproof, just darken the lashes
a little bit, does not lengthen nor
thicken,DOES NOT CURL either. Too
bad they discontinued Aquacils...... :-(

27.50 CND minus tax for a mascara is quite expensive but this mascara does wonders on my lashes. it's supposed to curl and lengthen. While I see little or no curling, it does extend my lashes a lot which is a big plus for me.

I'll definitely buy again unless I find something better. It's waterproof too and does not flake at the end of the day. I love the brush and how it separates the lashes really well. however it seems that one application is enough or clumping occurs :/
