been using this shampoo for 2 weeks now. wanted to try more of a natural range for my hair. thing i noticed about a few natural shampoos that i been using is that they dont foam on the hair much, and as i have thick hair i have to use alot to get full coverage and a good wash.however they do say shampoos that foam have alot of chemicals in them so they not really good to use. i find it can be abit drying, and the conditioner isnt very moisturising. the shampoo does keep hair soft and fluffy which i like, however i would probably use with a more moisurising conditioner. i dotn feel however its a shampoo with a wow factor. highstreet shampoos have made my hair feel alot better... so hmmmafter ive used this bottle. i will see if its actually benefited my hair or not and may try another range. on plus side i can say my roots feel softer cleaner and stronger and scalp feels good!
thought id do an update on this shampoo, as u can see by the date of the first post i have been using this for a few weeks now, an i noticed over time my hair strands feel alot smoother and definetly softer to the point my sister noted how soft my hair felt when she was doing a trim on my hair! usually i have very thick coarse hair so this was good! i will be buying this shampoo and cond. again. my hair feels clean soft and light.dont get a build up feeling with this shampoo. it will prob take u a few weeks to notice the change in your hair texture if your hair sounds like mine!

I love Jason's Tea Tree oil nail saver, so I figured I'd give the shampoo/conditioner a try. I was unimpressed with the results. The shampoo left my hair feeling stripped, and not at all soft. The conditioner was slightly better, but honestly left no lasting results. It didn't even help me brush my hair after I got out of the shower. I ended up tossing it, half-used, which I hate to do. I'm sticking with the nail saver, but ditching the hair products.

LOVE it!!!!
I was having a real issue with scalp acne. It's painful, and embarassing when you go and get a haircut. It started with Aveda Rosemary Mint Shampoo and Condtioner. I ditched that and started using Dove. Same thing...only less pimples. When I found this shampoo, I thought about how Jojoba makes my skin feel ( I love the stuff) so it made sense that this too might calm and balance my scalp.
My HG is the J/A/S/O/N Biotin Shampoo but oddly enough it can't be found. I have the Biotin Conditioner and I use the two together.
No scalp acne and really shiny hair. Another excellent J/A/S/O/N product.
****UPDATE****
I used two bottles of this. Good, not deserving of the rave above^^ . Idk why I write reviews too soon. Relegated to bodycare.

Once you get over the texture of the shampoo it's great. It cleans gently on the first pass and lasts a long time. It's my husband's favorite.
I order from iHerb where the prices are reasonable, $5off with code HEX237 and free shipping for orders over $40

Initially I was happy with this product. It was advertised as all natural which I have been using for a few years now and it seemed thicker than most shampoo of that type. But I noticed my hair was getting oilier much faster and couldn't figure it out until I looked at the ingredients. No SLS which is great but it has TWO SILICONES! I didn't even know anyone put silicone in shampoo; not even normal companies have it usually. If you are looking for natural hair care, I'd try something else first. Save yourself my mistake.

I love this shampoo!!! I have been looking for a while now for a great replacement to my Bumble & Bumble Alojoba shampoo, which was my HG. Sadly, it became very expensive and I just couldn't keep buying it every other month. So I came across this shampoo at Whole Foods and decided to give it a try. I was so impressed! It leaves my hair clean, moisturized, and healthy. The 16 oz bottle has also lasted about 3 months, so it turns out to be a very affordable alternative to my beloved B&B Alojoba.

I love everything about this shampoo! It smells devine, the bottle is huge and lasts ages and my hair is shiny and healthy! you do need to use conditioner afterwards cos otherwise it's a bit hard to brush your hair at first and generally-it' just better:) I have a very sensitive skin and shampoos quite often agrivate flakiness and dryness but not jasons...i like it more than MOP or Australian organics or Galvin jr and other brands i've tried... recommended!

I have only used this shampoo once.It works, but it's not that great.Opposed to many people here,I like shampoos that don't lather up.Just gently cleans, and hydrates. But I really don't know how come, that it has so much of jojoba oil,and still not hydrating enough.
I think I'm gonna buy the Dr Hauschka one next time.
I changed the overall rating from 3 to 2.
It's really drying my scalp, and it's even worse now.
I really don't understand what's the matter with this product. It has all natural ingredients...

I hate this shampoo when I am in the shower, because it makes my hair feel weird and it doesn't lather really well. I follow up with the conditioner, and my hair still feels strange when I am in the shower, but then a couple hours later my hair is noticably softer and less frizzy. I think there is probably a better product out there though.

I went through an entire bottle of this stuff and still don't know if I like it or not. At first I thought it was the best stuff ever. But as time went on, my hair seemed to like it less. Eventually I wondered if it was building up and making my hair unhappy. I'm still not sure. Ive since moved onto another shampoo and my hair seems happier. Wish I could figure out why I had such good luck at first and then it seemed to just go downhill from there.

I found the consistency of this shampoo to be way too thick. The scent is like cheap, cheap detergent. It didn't do anything for my hair to justify a positive review.

I have only used this shampoo 2x but so far I"m very pleased. I have a problem scalp that gets itchy and sore after I shampoo. I really like Paul Mitchels Tea Tree shampoo for my scalp issues, but it can be a bit drying on my ends after long term use and sometimes my scalp will still be sore after using it.
After countless purchases to find the right shampoo that doesnt irritate my scalp (and 100s of $ wasted) I think I may have found it. My scalp feels fine after a wash and my hair is soft and shiny. I'm also trying to grow out my hair and it makes me feel good to know there are no SLS in it and no other product that will dry out my hair.
I am very interested in trying out some other Jason SLS free 'poos if my scalp agrees with continued use of this product. I'm just not too fond of the smell. I would agree with a few other users here that it does have a hint of a baby powder scent and I'm wondering if its from the essential oils. The price is reasonable too at $5.99 CAN for 16oz (473 ml)
Ingredients: Purified water, jojoba seed oil*, marigold flower extract*, chamomile flower extract*, cocamidopropyl betaine, yucca extract, aloe vera leaf gel*, cocamidopropyl hydroxysultaine, hydrolyzed wheat protein, natural tocopherol, ascorbic acid, retinyl palmitate, lavender extract* glycerin, decyl glucoside, oxybenzone, planthenol-3 (plant phospholipids, dl-panthenol, ethyl panthenol, steardimonium panthenol) cyclopentasiloxane and dimethicone, citric acid, grapefruit seed extract, potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, fragrance oil blend. *Certified Organic.
Update: I have changed this from a 4 star to a 5 star rating. My scalp loves this shampoo and my hair has never been so healthy, shiney and bouncy after using a shampoo.

This is a very light, natural shampoo. It works well when you do not have hair products in your hair. If you leave your hair natural this is perfect. If you use hair spray or gel this may be too light to get all the product out. I like the smell too. Easy to find, usually in all grocery stores in the health food section. Glad this is all natural! A+

Well, I purchased this shampoo because it was recommended by a health food store to help with a dry, itchy scalp (jojoba oil is the 2nd ingredient). It definately helped with the itchiness, but unfortunately, the active detergent doesn't seem to be strong enough for my very thick hair. My hair felt shiny and smooth but also 'heavy', less 'bouncy.' I decided to add a few drops of pure jojoba oil to my regular shampoo and it works more effectively. On the other hand, this shampoo (and matching conditioner) works very well for my daughters - ages 5 and 8. I like the fact that it has fewer chemicals, no harsh cleaning agents, and seems to clean their hair well. Would I buy it again? Yes, I can see it working well for someone with a different hair type and for children.

This shampoo was just ok. I have pretty long thick hair. almost to my elbows at this point. I didn't like that i had to squeeze out almost a palm full of it for it to even begin to lather or spread around past where i slapped it on. So now I usually just use it near my scalp and then use a different shampoo on the rest of my hair when i need to wash it. My scalp tends to get greasy and this seemed to do an alright job of cleaning it up. But not one i would turn to if i needed a real cleanup job. I enjoy the smell... herby, light, fresh. I wouldn't necessarily buy this again just because it didn't really do it for me. but it wasn't bad.

I actually purchased the lavender shampoo and conditioner but judging by the other reviews I have a feeling that the only difference between the jojoba and lavender shampoos is the scent.
I hardly ever encounter a shampoo or conditioner that I dislike, but I reeeally dislike this one. The shampoo doesn't lather well at all, and to make up for the lack of lather I would just try to rub it in harder, therefore leaving my hair in a nasty tangled mess.
It smells really good (the lavender, I'm not sure what the jojoba smells like) but it leaves your hair feeling worse than it did when you started. Also, it's not normal to have to wash your hair twice... a good shampoo gets it done once.

OK, this shampoo was a total miss for me. I was excited to try it b/c it seems to be a great shampoo for so many people here, but it was AWFUL for me. First, I hate to lather twice. I feel like it's unnecessary and you run out of shampoo so much faster. But with this shampoo you have to, in order to get any lather at all. It DOES lather up once you shampoo the second time. Anyway, I used this on two separate occasions (decided to give it another chance after I hated it the first time) and both times it left a huge tangled clump of hair on my head that was nearly impossible to comb out even though I used conditioner afterwards. When I was combing it out, I felt like I was pulling out nearly all of my hair. And then what was left of my hair felt extremely dry and stripped down like you wouldn't believe. And the smell!! Ick! Like cheap plastic and bubble gum mixed together. NO WAY would I ever buy this stuff again.

ok...very good shampoo. I'm really picky cause I have super curly hair, and it's one of the few products that doesn't dry out my hair. I also love their Swimmer shampoo for when I get back from the beach!
