I love how gentle this feels, how soft it makes my skin. It has a lovely texture, I just wish it had a higher spf.

I really love Mario Badescu skincare products, so, at the urging of an SA, I thought I'd try this bestselling SPF moisturizer out. This was great for the drier areas of my face (cheeks, around the mouth), but it was much too oily for my t-zone during the day. While it absorbed well in my cheeks, it just sat on my forehead and developed into a pretty noticeable oil slick by lunchtime. I would use this as a night cream, but I'm afraid the SPF might clog my pores.
Also, I experienced occasional cysts while using this (I would have at least one somewhere on my face at any given time), and my skin has been clear since I've stopped applying this. While I really love the scent and how soothing it is on the areas of my skin that can actually absorb it, it's not worth the consistent cysts/oily t-zone, especially given the relatively low SPF. This would probably work well for those with evenly dry skin, but, just as a warning, I would strangely NOT develop cysts on the oily parts of my face; rather, I'd develop them in the cheeks, where the moisturizer seemed to absorb the best. So for those with sensitive skin, proceed with caution...

I have to say, this isn't bad. Turns out, a lot of moisturizers break me out. Wondering if SPF is a part of that, but I need it. So even if 'you can't absorb collagen through the skin' (which I've heard from people before and is probably true) I still think it moisturizes well and to have SPF too it's just a double for me. I'm still searching for HG moisturizers, but I'll take pimple free while I wait. I'm happy with it and it's lasted a surprisingly long time. Also I think the bottle is cute. Oh, and the nozzle does clog, but I've used the lotion in there that's starting to dry, and it absorbs 100%, unlike most creams that turn plastic-y and totally weird. This isn't like that. And the bottle is actually squeezable and you can twist off the top. Love that.

I have combo skin (oily t-zone, dry cheeks) with a relatively even Asian complexion. This moisturizer sinks in when applied on a damp, post-cleansed face and after 15 minutes, creates a perfect surface for makeup. I wear foundation and powder and with this moisturizer I get slightly shiny by late afternoon, which is totally expected and fine, I did not experience increased oiliness. The little dispenser spout always clogs up and then spurts out too much product when you apply more pressure which is annoying but whatever. The texture is so nice and my skin feel hydrated and plump, not oily. I just wish it had more sun protection! Will use it up and then look for a moisturizer with higher SPF.

This was not a strong enough moisturizer for me. I used it in the morning after rinsing with Mario Badescu's orange soap (which I love!). No blemishes or outbreaks from using it, but my skin was still dry after use. As a lite moisturizer this might be fine, but not for winter skin or people who have dry skin.

I got this in my sample pack and my first impression was great: it absorbed quickly, leaving my skin feeling silky soft. After just a couple days though, my skin started seriously erupting in whiteheads and bumps, so this has now been demoted for use on the backs of my hands.

I don't think I've ever had my skin react to a product so quickly as with this moisturizer. This has been on about 10 minutes and already my cheeks are a deep red and I've these little whiteheads all over my face. So I guess my sensitive skin does not like this. Sad cause the packaging said it's for sensitive and combination skin. Will be returning this.

I received this as part of my sample pack and initially used it religiously for a few days as my daytime moisturizer. It absorbed okay, but my face still got oily. After a few times, however, my face started breaking out in whiteheads. The culprit? This moisturizer. It's just too heavy for me, unfortunately.

I really fell in love with Mario products over the summer, my skin was breaking out like crazy and nothing was helping. So I sumbited a skin questionaire on the website and they sent me a ton of free samples picked for my skin type. And I loved every single one they sent me!
I use this cream day and night. I have combo skin with some breakouts even though I hardly get breakouts after using their products.
I really love this cream, it sinks in fast and doesn't make me oily or breakout. When I run out and don't have it my skin definitely shows it.
I wish the price wasn't so high for such a tiny bottle I would buy a bigger bottle if they had it.

recieved this as a free sample...
pros-it was free
it does have spf
cons-Re-apply frequently, yeah,i have that kinda time.
real cost is 22$ for a 2oz bottle.
very very watery..more than my equate oil of olay knockoff
does not leave my skin smooth but rather quite tacky...don't like this feeling at all.
.this stuff is horrible! after a hour my skin completely dried out. as in flakes. yep..reapply frequently....right now i'm soaking my face in my fruit of the earth to undo the damage done.
if you should decide to use this..please use caution.
keep in mind i am 40 and my skin has changed quite a bit..but still i should not have had this kind of result.

I was so pleasantly surprised by this product! I got it as a sample and gave it a shot one morning, figured, "what the heck, if it makes me a greasy mess, I can always wash my face before I go out!" Well, not only did it NOT make me oily at all, it helped to keep my makeup in place all day. I did the ultimate mid-afternoon test (you know? the one where you run a finger along your nose and across your forehead?) and NOTHING. No oilies. But the most amazing part of this cream is that it is super moisturizing (my skin felt baby soft). And of course it contains SPF, which is a must for day cream. However, I've ordered the Suncare SPF 30, because I prefer having a bit higher SPF, especially during the summer months. But I'm not writing this one off, it may very well become my winter day cream.

nice consistency, goes on smooth and light. LOVE the hygenic bottle with nozzle. just confused with the choice of cottonseed oil (what DOES it do??) as an ingredient so i stopped using it.

I wanted to like this moisturizer a lot, since it was what they recommended for me from the questionairre. I guess I'm not the easiest customer to please, because I have combination to oily skin in the fall/winter, and oily to very oily skin in the warmer weather. I am also over 35 but don't have that many fine lines or wrinkles yet but I definitely want to prevent them. And, I still get the occasional acne flare up, so I can't have an oily moisturizer but I need one with SPF and one to combat aging. My HG Moisturizer is Neutrogena Visibly Firm with Active Copper. This Mario Badescu moisturizer simply does not work half as well as the Neutrogena, and they are about the same price. I found the Mario Badescu to make my skin very oily by 1/2 way through the day. It does have a nice plumping and evening effect on the skin, but the Neutrogena I am used to actually refines the skin more and removes old scarring, especially if you use the night cream and the serum in conjunction with it. Honestly, I didn't find the Mario Badescu to be all that special. It's thick too and doesn't absorb all that well either, my skin felt kinda sticky all day. Will not purchase.

Like many other MUA reviewers, I received this moisturizer after filling out the online questionnaire. I have now concluded that I am allergic to it! Not only do I have a rash on my neck, but it did not absorb in my skin well and left me feeling very greasy.

I have been using this product for more than 8 months now, and I must say, my skin has been firmer and more plump since. The texture is creamy although not thick like a paste. Glides smoothly onto skin and is suitable for combination/sensitive skin types like mine. I used to live in NY and this was a great moisturiser during the harsh NY winters. But I just relocated to Singapore and when I apply this moisturiser in the humid, tropical weather... my skin (even my normally dry cheeks) become oily really fast. Only 1 hour after applying the moisturiser, I have to blot my face because it's so shiny. So, I've temporarily switched to something even lighter in texture ... but that doesn't mean I'll stop using this product. I just recommend it for fall/winter season :)

this moisturizer made my combination skin so oily. and it made me breakout. however, i don't know if the breakouts were from an ingredient in the moisturizer, of from clogged pores from all the excess oil my skin had. either way, its just not very good.

A bit too heavy for East Central Florida summers. Do not see the need to use cottonseed oil in the ingredients. Did not mix well with my Aqua Fusion TM. The MB Hyaluronic Moisturizer SPF 15 worked better for me.
