Ah, here is my other YSL Ombre Vibration love (along with duo number one)! One side is a shimmery steel blue, the other a shimmery taupey silver-grey. With the blue packed damp on the lid (and brought wet under the lower lashline), and the silvery taupe dry-blended into the crease and outer corners, this makes THE perfect (and ridiculously easy) smoky blue eye when paired with some black khol for the inner rims! For really dramatic eyes, I can also amp this up with some MAC Contrast blended into the outer V, but really, this duo is *perfection* on its own.

The YSL duos are some of my absolutely favourite eyeshadows. I love the ease of application (they are so soft they practically blend themselves as you apply them) and the elegant richness of colour (never garish). They can be dry-brushed on for a sheer effect, or packed on damp for more vivid colour pay-off. And as the day wears on they melt a little into an oddly soft-gloss luminous finish that is really very flattering on the lids.

For me this seems to be a very usefull duo. I got this from a swap but I am aware that you need to spend big bucks for these duos. I like both colors but I never use them together. I use mediun intensity taupe for daytime looks together with champagne or light blue or pink shade. I use grey toned blue when I am not working with same highlight shades as I use the taupe shade. The blue definitely creates a smoky eye and I suggest using lighter color on your lips with it. I find these shades work extremely well with my really pale and cool toned colouring. My only complain is that as with all the YSL shadows I have tried, the color does not last all day. It gets uneven and blotchy?? (spelling), but it does last decent amount of time. I would repurchase this duo.

I don't like this that much...it seems like all glitters to me and not much color. The duo consists of "steel blue" (a dark royal blue) and "silver mist" (greyish-silver) colors which both contain tons of tiny micro-glitters. It has a beautiful "black-grey-purple" metallic packaging for sure...cuz yer paying a whole lotta $$$ for it...(36$US for 3.5g)...and includes two sponge applicators. But no matter how pretty it is on the outside, the product just doesn't work all that well i find. It blends well, but the colors are very sheer and I'd like to have more saturation. I mainly use the "silver mist" because it goes better with my brown eyes than the blue color, but it's not really silver, more of a dark grey which is more suitable and natural looking. So because there are tons of glitters (makes me look cheap...) and no color, I take off 2 lippies. I will not repurchase since I like MAC, Lancôme and Dior's eyeshadows better.

I never thought I could wear blues ! I am a NW 25 cool toned , dark brown eyes and hair . Thanks to spf15 who recommended YSL eye shadows to me . IMO they are one of the best eye shadows out there .
This duo has a silvery grey and a medium blue ,the colours look ordinary in the pan but when applied it is a different story ! I love YSL shadows as they are well pigmented and can be worn subtly as well as can be built upon , the shadows are very well milled and not chunky or glittery . Now I planning to get the new Fall duo with the purple and the pink , but this blue grey combo is highly recommended for dark brown eyes cool toned ladies

Another great duo by YSL. Both shades are fabulous for smokey eyes, crease shades or used wet as liners. The grey I found to be a very true grey, no brown undertones (on me anyway.) The blue reminded me a tiny bit of Stila Pewter - I think if it's used wet it would look just like it. In any case the shadows are the usual fantastic quality for YSL - silky and long-lasting with the perfect amount of shimmer.

I really wanted to love this eyeshadow. This is a darker blue/grey combo, and both are ultra-shimmery. However, on my skin the dark blue just managed to look like shiny bruising. The grey actually tends toward being a taupe, and is lovely, but I really couldn't justify spending $36 for only one color I could use, so I'm taking this back. On the right person though, I'm sure these colors would be fabulous.
