This is really excellent shampoo (and should be used with the same conditioner). Although it is expensive, just a small amount of the product goes a long way. It has a really nice light Grapefruit fragrance, and it makes my fine blond hair shiny and fuller.

I have purchased this about three times, and rotate it with The Body Shop Honey shampoo and conditioner.

i was very curious about this shampoo, so i think give it a shot, almost 20 euro's for a bottle way to expensive.
I tried but nothing special happens, so i don't buy this shampoo again.
I looked at the INCI's and i saw that this shampoo has two kinds of SLS, i think that's not necessary it's very aggressive.
I expected more quality for this price.

Disappointed with this product. This has begun to dry out my hair in the long run. I don't notice much volume. In fact I notice the presence of a 'cone in the ingredients. Sometimes I just wash my bangs as they get greasiest faster than the rest of my hair and instead of providing volume, they just look greasy and fine. YUK.The only merit to this shampoo is the inoffensive grapefruit scent. Too expensive for what it is promising.

EDIT: This shampoo conatins quaternium, a formaldyhede releaser that can cause allergic reactions and poses questionable risks to health.

Amazing volumizing shampoo. It detangles well, smells great, and leaves your hair feeling light and lifted... what more could you want! It is not too drying. I have bleached coarse horrible hair and it doesn't try it out...great for everyday use.

I didn't want to be disappointed about this shampoo. The package promises full body and looks really nice and stylish, and the price promises good quality. Unfortunately my hair didn't experience anything good out of it.
I wish I didn't pay the 18 Euros for this, because it is like I threw them out of the window. I can not start anything with this shampoo except that the bottle looks good, and now I have enough shampoo to clean my make-up brushes with.
My hair got finer and that leaded to knots in my hair, thats all I got from the Body Double Thick-In Shampoo. What a mess!
UPDATE: I have tried using this shampoo after one year again, and now I like it. I don't know why my hair didn't respond to it one year ago, but now my hair has definitely more body and shine.
The only thing, this shampoo MUST be used with a conditioner.

I love this. Its the first shampoo i have tried, that really DOES give volume as it promis to. It does make my hair seem thicker. Highly recommend to thin or flat hair.

I was prepared to be disappointed, but surprisingly, my hair does feel somehow thicker and more bodified (is that a word?) after I shampoo with this. I notice a definite change in texture. When my hair dries, it's more voluminous and yes, more lion-like, than usual. Quite an achievement since I have very long (to the middle of my back), straight, fine hair. This and the conditioner make it seem like I have more hair, which is awesome. I have normal hair but my scalp is oily and I think I can get away with shampooing every other day with this stuff. My hair isn't flat or greasy the next morning; it even seems to retain the volume, which is amazing. There's no build-up (though I switch around shampoos randomly depending on my mood anyway), my hair isn't full of static and doesn't feel dry or look dull.



Some cons: I do not like the sickly sweet fruity scent, but it doesn't linger at all, despite it being rather strong. I kind of hate the bottles, too. The lids are obnoxiously designed--product doesn't come out in a precise dollop, which can lead to waste. Finally, this stuff is fairly expensive too, but not as bad as some shampoos out there (Pureology, Aveda, Kerastase, etc.). Would definitely repurchase.

Honestly, I was very disappointed by this shampoo and conditioner. I have thick, shoulder-length hair that needs very little to have amazing volume (a cleansing shampoo, a light conditioner, and a blow-dry), but can easily fall flat without good care. This product line unfortunately did little for my hair - the shampoo is a good consistency, lathers well and washes away a reasonable amount of dirt/product build-up. However, after using the shampoo/conditioner and blow-drying my hair as usual, I have about 1/2 the volume I usually get when using other products.

does nothing like moisturizing. my hair lost volume because of build ups! doesn't work for my hair. prefer paul mitchell awapuhi shampoo or redken clear moisture.

I was disappointed by this shampoo (and the conditioner). It didn't do much for the volume, and for this price I really think it should. I love the packaging but thats not the reason why I buy shampoo =/

I gave this shampoo a 5 because it did on my hair what it promised: geve it body. It does make my hair puffy, it looks as if I have almost twice the hair and lookes very fluffy even the next day. I liked the results. Instructions say to use very little and yes, do use little shampoo, it lathers up a lot.

I gave it 4 for price, it's pricey but I bought the Shampoo/conditioner package at $16 at JCPenney salon, when on their own they are $15, so I thought it was a good deal.

UPDATED/edit 13.Juli 2006: have and use this with the body double thick-In conditioner and a few hours after the body double products are rinsed out and my hair no more wet they make me look like a lion. lol everybody commented how I look like a lion and how beautiful I look and my hair is after using Sebastian Body Double Thick-In Shampoo and Conditioner! makes my hair very voluminous, sexy, expensive shine...like or love the body double products very much.

I bought the body double shampoo, conditioner, and treatment in a bag at Trade Secret in the Maine Mall. I have been using the shampoo and conditioner for 2 weeks and I really like it! I used the treatment on the first day and it was really awesome. I have fine hair and it can get a little flat, but it was also about 12 weeks since my last trim when I used it so I can't imagine how good it would have looked the day of or after my trim. :-) I'll buy it again to use with the shampoo and conditioner. My hair is starting to get a little flat despite the shampoo and conditioner so I suspect I'll need to use the treatment again. A few days ago I just used the primer to see what that would do, and it made my hair flat and crappy. :) Don't try that. Next time I will not use the whole little tube thing, even though it told me to. They just say that to make you buy more. :D

ps-The bag was later recycled as a gift bag for my 15 year old neice's birthday. She LOVED the bag. My mother-in-law (her grammy) was making her give her all the gift bags (for recycling) but she refused to let her take that one. She said she was going to use it for her lunch bag at school! :-)

I wasn't too impressed with this product. It does have a nice scent but the volume achieved was only minimal compared to the other HGs I've tried, which shall remain- Avalon Organics Biotin shampoo, and Phyto's Voluminizing shampoo.

I bought this with the conditioner as a two for one. I am glad I bought this. It seems to really increase volume on my hair and almost seems to clarify it. I took off one lippie because of the smell (tea tree and grapefruit). I have gotten used to it and likely will buy this again. This is the first sebastian product I have been please with.

I began using this last August. My daughter is in cosmetology school and we went to the Premier Beauty Show in Orlando. I bought one bottle each of the Shampoo and Conditioner. I have very long hair to my waist and I have a lot of it, but it's very fine. This is the best shampoo and conditinor that I have tried for volume to date and the rest of their product line is wonderful too. I can literally feel my hair is thicker. I highly recommend it and will never change products again. I've tried them all and this is the only one that has delivered. Great, just great.
