This is my daily self-tanner - I'm quite pale, burn easily, and have sensitive skin - so no real tans for me. . . .I've tried the more expensive high-end brands, but this one works consistently well for me.
This formulation does have a lot of shimmer in it - and I wouldn't recommend using it and then going out. However, I use this before bed and then shower off the excess in the morning, so it works well for me. It has a genuine natural tan look to it, and is very buildable.
It does help if you've 1) exfoliated and 2) moisturized prior to using this. I use it two or three nights in a row, and then take a day or two off. Once I've gotten to the right shade, I then apply a couple of times a week to keep it.

Application= Easy, smooth
Drying Time= Took a while to dry, (their gelee s dry much faster)
Odor= Pleasant for the first few hours, but u can smell it after; not overpowering however
Color= Orange on my yellow undertoned skin
Not happy with this product.

I love this. This is probably the best drugstore self tanner. The color is so pretty, and deff not orange. After I stopped using tanning booths I turned super pale and all the other self tanners seemed to turn me orange and fake, but this stuff makes me look nicely tanned and I love the shiimers. The smell isn't that bad ether but you do have to reapply it at least every two days otherwise it will start to fade weird.
After using this for about a month or so and applying it only right before going out to clubs or special events I realized this makes me look not so much orange but just like muddy, and dirty and greasy. DO NOT USE THIS ON YOUR FACE! unless you have the face of a pre puberty 12 year old. Real talk this is gonna sink into you pores, make you look dirty and greasy. This does not work for me anymore, it makes my skin look dry and oily at the same time.
And the packaging is horrible!

I love this self-tanner. I dont tan in the sun because I am paranoid of wrinkles! So I am a self-tanner junkie because I love looking dark tan even though my skin is naturally pretty light.
I am wearing this in my profile picture, and in that case, I had 3 coats on, because I wanted to be very dark. With one coat, it makes me a light golden color.
I will say this is not one to use and then go out. I suggest taking a day when you have a few hours and exfoliate in your shower, get out and put lotion on. Wait for a half hour to let your skin dry and let your lotion sink in. Then apply your tanner with those cheap plastic gloves, and makeup sponge around your toes and elbows and hands. Take your time, the tinted lotion is helpful in seeing where you need to blend.
If you want to be very dark, wait 2 hours, then take a quick rinse in the shower and after, apply a second coat.
I dont suggest applying coats one right on top of each other, rinse off in the shower or with a washcloth in between coats to avoid looking orangey. This is good advice for all self-tanners.
Love this product, and I will still be wrinkle-free when I am 40. :) Good luck ladies!

I rather like this! It adds natural-looking color for me, and it smells somewhat soapy. Yes, it is tinted, it doesn't streak when applied correctly, and you have to wait for it to dry. That is typical with all self-tanners. This does have some shimmer, which doesn't bother me.

I bought a tube of this before I found my current self tanner HG-Jergens Daily Moisturizer foam. I THOUGHT I was buying an old standby of mine. I wasn't. The old standby was the Sublime GLOW. Big difference. Even after drying, this self tanner was sticky, making my pajamas stick to me while I slept. MAJOR self tanner smell. Knock-you-down-strong self tanner smell. The color is ok, not too streaky, but it just can't compare with the Jergens I love now, or the old Sublime Glow. It did make me a lot darker, but because of the sticky and the smell, I don't think I will buy again.

I bought this after I used up my bottle of Sublime Glow, which I loved. That was the first self-tanner I ever used but after trying this, I love this much better than the Sublime Glow version.
This is way easier to spread compared to the Glow, which makes application faster. Though it states that it's a lotion, it feels more like a light-weight gel. The Glow formula is much heavier. Also I find that the Glow formula is not as natural looking as the Sublime Bronze.
The Deep is perfect for my medium tanned Asian skin. It looks very very natural on me and is not orange at all. I get a nice deep rich brown color, whereas the Glow has a less natural tinge. Also, although I did not mind the almond scent of the Glow, this does not have a strong scent in comparison which I like much better.
This does have sparkles in it which is very obvious, whereas the Glow has more of a natural looking sheen. I don't like the sparkles but they will come off in the shower so I don't mind. Overall, this is a great product that I will use again and again, and I will switch over to this from now on.
If you're looking for a bronzer to match the color of the "deep," I would highly recommend Too Faced Chocolate Soleil. The color is so natural and it is a deep rich brown color just like the "tan" that Sublime Bronze gives.

Ughh!!! I used to love this product. Sure, it took a long time to dry but it gave me streak free color that was fairly natural looking and a good price. (way better color than neutrogena but not as much as high end brands). HOWEVER! They have changed the formula (they did this last year and put a NEW label on the bottle. I thought great, even better than before. Wrong. The new product dries really fast but it streaks. I used sunless tanner a long time and know how to rub them in and exfoliate and no matter how many times I try with this product I get streaks. The color also does not stick around as long and looks worse now when it starts to "fade" which now leaves patchy areas. Both the old and new formulas are really glittery so I never went out with it on my skin before washing it off which the company says you can do. By the way, I just tried another new product from them which is almost the same as this one. It is an "instant" tanning sublime lotion. It is almost the same product. The instant only means it is tinted (with glitter too) and though the smell is better it streaks and the streaks look worse and worse as the days pass.

I've been using this tanner for a long time now. I use the dark on my fair skin and the colour it produces is soo natural looking! I've tried a lot of other tanners but this one can actually make fair skin look naturally tanned. The downside is it takes a long time to dry and even after I shower, it still does come off on the inside of my clothing.

this stuff used to be GREAT!? what happened? they changed the formula. thats what happened!
now it is super sticky! super insanely sticky!
it gives the best color, but once you stop using it, (hello!!) spots that make you look like you have a skin disease.
although that is a downside, it looks e(tremely good when it doesnt look like that.

I really love this product! You can call me the queen of sunless tanners. I have gone through A LOT of products starting from neutrogena to tropical tan etc. (drugstore brands) Out of all the sunless tanners out there, this gives you the most NATURAL BRONZY tan. Neutrogena for an example, has a tendency turning your skin orange. This tanner however gives you a perfect tan. The only con about it is that the loation dries REALLY sticky.
PRO's: good color, shimmer is in the lotion i.e. giving you a nice glo
Cons: REALLY sticky
other than that I LOVE IT
i swear by this sunless tanner

I always use Neutragena's sunless tanning foam but couldn't find it this year so I had to settle for trying L'Oreal's Sublime Bronze in Deep. Maybe because I'm not used to using a lotion (foam is a lot easier to work with, in my opinion), but I found this stuff to be somewhat streaky. After a shower, I put on a layer of aloe vera to moisterize, then with a pair of latex gloves, I put a single layer of Sublime Bronze. I stood around for about 15 minutes, then went to bed. I was still kinda sticky when I hit the sheets so I thought for sure I'd wake up with orange sheets, but surprisingly, there was no transfer. I wore white shorts the following 2-3 days and no transfer, either. The colour was perfect for my Asian complexion: tanned but not over done or orange-y but I did end up with streaking...I had to spend about 30 min the next morning cleaning up the streaks (I used baby oil). PROS: the lotion is tinted so you can see where you've applied it (as opposed to foam which is white / colourless when applied to skin); nice colour with only one application / layer; does not transfer. CONS: dried out my skin, especially shaved legs; only lasts 1-2 days; REALLY sparkley (sparkles went away overnight).

i LOVE this. i bought it for $9.99 at wallgreens. i exfoliated (with sugar) and applied this lotion onto my arms, chest, and face. i used a little bit- a lot less than i usually use with other self tanners- since this one says DEEP and i didnt want to risk a diseaster. it didnt stink, it had a scent but the scent didnt bother me. it dried a lot quicker than any other lotion tanner i ever used and it didnt leave an oily residue.
it DOES have SPARKLES. boarder line glitter. so thats why one lippie off- its TOO MUCH. it is pretty.....but not wearable for me. silver shimmer, and way too much of it - the products only downfall.
next morning i woke up with silky tanned skin. really nice color. i couldnt be happier.
i apply moisturizer after the tanner develops, since i read in other reviews that this dries up the skin and wears off unevenly.- therefore EXFOLIATE before you use it. and moisturize after the tan develps to avoid this problem. it has worked for me so far.
my favorite self tanner as of now!

I've pretty much tried every self-tanner under the sun...from no name cheap ones to ridiculously expensive department store brands, and this is BY FAR the best!
Just a heads up though, when you first put it on, you will be very sparkly. As someone so perfectly put it on MUA "my face looked like a disco ball". If that won't bother you, then yay. The sparkles go away in a few hours. It dries very fast and gives me that deep glow without looking orange at all. Every single time I use it, people ask me if I went away. I told my best friend about it and now she's completely addicted!

this stuff gets you dark fast.. prob good the night before you go clubbing or something. I put on two coats of this.. which wasn't a good idea since during the second coat i started to rub off the first and that made my skin a bit blotchy :( At first, it looks very deep but the it starts to turn orangey and kinda flakes into an alligator skin type of look. My friend raved about the color but my bf said it looked orange... and it does look orange in certain lighting. And yes, i exfoliated before and everything! Beware your hands... put gloves on when you put this on!!.. minor streaking too...

This is good stuff as far as self-tanners go: it's relatively inexpensive and easy to find, doesn't smell bad, and is tinted so you can see where you're putting it. However, it does have a *ton* of sparkle in it, which I could really do without most of the time, and if one isn't careful, it streaks like mad. I recommend it, but I also *highly* recommend thorough exfoliation and pre-moisturization before using this product, especially if you have dry skin, and wearing rubber gloves during application.
EDIT: I've been using this stuff for over a week now, and wow, does it ever DRY OUT MY SKIN. It fades very patchy/unevenly, too, which makes it look like obvious self-tanner. Hmmm, taking off a lippie for that. Still good for a quick fix every once in awhile, but I cannot continue to use this stuff on a regular basis as my skin is now Sahara-dry and weirdly mottled!

This self tanner is quite easy to use once you understand it is like its name DEEP. I like to mix it with a sweet smelling body lotion for a less intense tan!!
I like how it is tinted so you can see where you put it.
This is great to top off an already deep summer tan.

I've had this in my bathroom for a while now, scared to try it because I didn't want to turn orange. (My friend swears by this stuff and she always looks amazing. SO... I wanted some color and figured why not. Before hand I bought some cheap dark colored sheets at Walmart and some latex gloves and make-up sponges (for my fingers and toes). I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND WEARING GLOVES... no amount of scrubbing will remove orange palms. Plus they're cheap at Walgreens.
I hopped in the shower and exfoliated. When I got out of the shower I applied Aloe gel to my legs( I was only doing one area as a test to make sure I liked the color before I did it all over). I let the Aloe dry and put my gloves on and started with my toes and feet, working my way upwards. I constantly blended as I worked my way from my ankles to my thighs. I wore a pair of old underwear to see the difference between my original color and the tanning lotion. I sat naked for about 10 minutes and then threw on some old sweat pants. The products wasn't completely dried, but I went to bed and woke up streak free with a pretty nice tan if I do say so myself. I think the Aloe gel helped give me an even tan as it moisturized the skin but didn't leave a film behind. I applied my morning lotion as usual and can't believe the tan on my legs came from a tube.
I gave it four lippies because of the unfortunate smell. It can't be avoided and I expected some smell, but this was pretty bad. Despite this I will still re-purchase.

I love, love, love this product. Yes, it's not the most high-end self-tanner out there, and it doesn't smell all that great, but it does a good job and streaks minimally. I've had the best luck with this, even compared with the more expensive brands.
There is some MAJOR shimmer present here, but since I use this before bed and sleep on it, it doesn't bother me. After my AM shower, the only thing that's left is perfect, non-orange, natural looking tan!!
It does work best if you a) just exfoliated, b) just moisturized, and c) didn't use an overly-greasy moisturizer. (I use Suave's Cocoa Butter and Shea Lotion). Anyway, I like this product so much I buy extra over the winter, as it's hard to find sometimes and I don't want to run out.
Try it and see.

I agree with the other reviews--it applies easily and feels like silk. It's simple to blend and the tint helps you avoid streaks. My only complaint is that it takes a long time to dry.
