HG cleanser. I almost wish it wasn't because it's so expensive ($35 for 6 oz), however one bottle lasts about 6 months, so it doesn't work out too bad, price wise. This is the one skincare product I keep coming back to. It has a really nice texture, gel-like, but not oily. Light. It cleanses well and washes away clean. Fresh scent, but not overpowering. I have weird, combination, tempermental, sometimes senstitive, sometimes not, skin and this is the only product I feel like I can use at all times, whether my skin is acting oily, dry, sensitive, sunburned, whatever. It's a jack of all trades cleanser and I will definitely continue to repurchase.

I love Astara Botanical Cleansing Gele sooooooo much!!! I'm on my third bottle now. I have normal-to-dry skin and this gel-based product still works great without overdrying my face. I'm most amazed by its gentle yet effective cleansing power. Two pumps can wash away any heavy (say, evening) makeup completely. Of course, on regular days, one pump works just fine. Highly recommend and will keep re-purchasing.

I loved this product. I have oily and sensitive skin, which makes it difficult to find an effective facial cleanser. This one was very effective in keeping my skin clean, and pores small. The packaging worried me at first, but after accidentally dropping it on the bathroom floor and the bottle not breaking, I am fine with it.

If you've followed my reviews, you'd see I've tried everything out there that's worth a hoot. This is where it stops. I've found absolutely the best line in the world IMHO. I tend to measure the strength of a line by its cleanser(don't ask me why), but this cleanser is a jewel. Completely natural and organic, soothing, gently cleansing, and purifying. And not one artificial ingredient. I couldn't ask for anything more perfect for my skin. I always forget about the folks who can't handle essential oils and extracts, which this line is full of, so if you're sensitive to natural plant extracts, this might not be for you. MY skin eats it up. The aloe and seaplant extract form the gelee base for this cleanser, which in my book is fun and luscious...I love the gel-like, non-foaming texture. Aloe is also about the best thing I can put on my skin. With the added citrus essential oils, anti-oxidants, and multiple purifying and soothing extracts, this gets my skin absolutely clean without stripping. And of course, no breakouts or inflamed skin. If you insist on natural and pure, this is it. UPDATE***Have found that the ingredients listed on the Astara website are only a partial list. These formulations contain artificial/chemical ingedients just like everything else. When a developer is not proud enough of their recipes, and tries to limit full disclosure of the product, it makes it look like they have something to hide. I'm pretty disgusted, and feel like they "got me" under false pretenses, but will not change the rating until I've used the system for at least six weeks.

A very good quality gel cleanser - suitable for most people - save for those with a citrus allergy or the very, very dry.

Nice for combo/oily folks, and removes dirt, make-up and oil effectively.

Lovely essential-oil based fragrance.

I am not a fan of this cleanser. I hate scented products and this is very fresh and fruity smelling. I also have sensitive acne prone skin so using a product with this much perfume, scares me. This is a thick gel that goes on smoothly and cleansed my skin without leaving it tight or dry or like i still had a greasy mask on. Came off completely (along with the scent). This is listed on sephora.com as a " richly concentrated aloe and nutrient-based cleansing gel balanced for use by all skin types and ages. Removes makeup and will not sting eyes. Use as a soothing, nourishing shaving gel alternative for men and women." Retails for $26 and is 4 oz in a pump bottle. I will stick with my acne cleansers but this wasnt bad if you have normal skin and dont mind fragrance.

I received a large sample of this cleanser in an intro kit that I purchased in January. I STILL have about an eighth of the bottle left. You only have to use a very small amount to clean your entire face and neck. It has a fantastic slippery quality to it and is the only gel I have ever used that does not entirely dry out my skin. I do find that it leaves my skin a little bit tight, but I much prefer that to a "dewey" sensation. I have incredibly sensitive skin that runs a little oily on the nose, but generally dry leaning. I had no negative reaction to it whatsoever. I love the scent and I think it works incredibly well in conjunction with the daily scrub (I use a half and half mixture). I will most certainly purchase this when me sample FINALLY runs out. ***UPDATE***What the company tries to hide is that this is a cleanser made with sodium lauryl sulfate, which means it is no better than a five dollar gel cleanser you can get at target. It is certainly NOT worth US30.00. I was very disappointed over time and as I am trying to get away from SLS, this is no longer the cleanser for me.

My favorite gel cleanser - smells like tangerines, removes makeup, and only a little bit is needed for the entire face/neck. This cleanser is very slippery feeling and it spreads a distributes over the skin very well - I've had a similar experience with YonKa's Gel Nettoyant, but this one by Astara doesn't dry out my skin afterwards. This is terrific - very clean feel afterwards. This is the first non-foaming gel cleanser I've tried and loved immediately.

I love this cleanser. It removes all of my makeup & leaves my face really soft & never tight or dry feeling. I have it in the 2 oz. sample size & it is a little difficult to get out, but I will probably buy the full size when this is gone.

I really like this cleanser and if I was rich I would use this as my HG cleanser. It's fairly gentle on my acne-prone skin. It's not extremely foamy but it does foam enough to satisfy those of us that have to have *some* foam. It smells nice and citrusy and a bottle lasts a long time. But because of the cost, I might only order it for my self on my birthday or other special occasions!

I like this cleanser. It's not above-and-beyond amazing, but it does a very decent job of cleaning the face without drying it out (it is slightly drying, better for normal to oily skin I would think). I like the botanical fragrance and the gel-texture. I don't like that it has sodium laureth sulfate in it, but there aren't heaps of cleansers that don't have some sort of drying or irritating detergent in them. Overall it's nice :)

I thought this was one of the better cleansers I have used. My skin didn't feel dry after using and it seemed to glow a bit.

I have to agree with some of the other reviewers---I was neither impressed or unimpressed with this. I used up a sample from WTF? and thought it was ok, nothing special. I wouldn't spend the money for the full size bottle. There are other Astara products I love, this just isn't one of them.

I really like this cleanser. I have very sensitive combo skin and I don't find that the gele strips my skin at all. I use a very small amount of the gele (about half a pump, maybe less) and it still removes my makeup (even eye makeup, I love that it's safe to use around the eye area). I do find the products to be a expensive, but since I use so little at a time, it lasts me a while (about 4 months). All in all, I really like the Astara line.

Update: I still like this, but I found it to be a bit drying over the winter months. It's still great for when my skin isn't so dry.

I have been using a sample of this and I like it but its nothing special. It leaves my skin soft but a teeny bit on the dry side. Just try a sample before you purchase to see if it will work for you.

This is a wonderful cleansing product. Smells wonderful, is gentle and, like all of the Astara products I've tried, is high quality.

My skin is combo/dry.
