I bought this in Sable based on reviews here. I loved it and it was my HG brow product until I learned that the colour had been discontinued. I have medium blond hair with a cool undertone. Finding a brow product for blond hair without a yellow or orange undertone that is not too dark is nearly impossible. Sable was perfect. Since it was discontinued, I have switched to MAC brow pen in fling. In terms of the product, the brush comes out of the tube with an appropriate amount of product on it (apart from most similar products that come out too wet) to apply directly to the brows, and I found it provided good colour and hold for my brows. If you can find a colour that matches your brows, this is a nice product.

I must admit, this is one of my love-hate products. A lot of Bobbi Brown products are that way with me. There's some of her products I love and other products it just missing that je ne sais quoi factor.

I bought this product because after 2 attempts of professional eyebrow shaping and one personal attempt, I've lost all the baby fine hairs on my brows making them look wiry and sparse. So this product definitely adds some volume to sparse looking brows. However, I must agree with other MA reviewers this product needs some help.

CONS:
1) I like having a full brow look to my face and once in a while I fool myself into believing I can go for something slimmer... mostly because the peeps doing your brows like to yank as much brow hair off sometimes. This product can easily make full brows look messy. So you do have to be careful about the amount applied, which can be hard to control. Yes, whipping the wand inside the opening of the container or blotting it with tissue does help to prevent adding too much product. But still, when applied properly it still can be fuzzy messy Groucho Marx brow.

2) It can sometimes be drying to the brows too.

PROS:
1) Coloring can be nice. I am African American with black brows and lashes and black hair... but the ends are no longer jet black, they've been turning a freaky red almost strawberry blond (I've tried cutting the ends and that works, but the like 3 weeks later its red again, slowly travelling up the roots which is mostly jet black, it can be pretty, but it can also be annoying cause people think I've colored my hair when I don't but it does help to camoflauge any grey strands of hair). So the Mahogany (which I think is their darkest shade in this) goes well in lightening up my brows to compliment my naturally freakish hair coloring. The colors seem to look really natural... earthy. However, its probably not a product for the jettest of black hair coloring.

HELP FOR SOME OF THE ISSUES:
So as I was growing out my latest attempt of professional brow shaping, I started to play around with this product. I didn't use it when my brows were thin because it wasn't easy to apply. So I've been using it since my brows are in stages of growing out. What I do is apply a light coat of this stuff to the brows, making sure a lot doesn't touch the skin. Then I take a clear brow wax such as found in Clarins Eyebrow Kit, and apply over the Bobbi Brown product. This helps to shape the brows, fill in the sparse areas, and to create a shape instead of the fuzzy Groucho Marx look without the wax. I love this method! It gives a nice illusion of full, tamed, shaped brows.

I have this in Auburn which is a good shade for me, as a redhead. It isn't too red (unlike RMK's eyebrow mascara in Brown Gold which looked far too over the top...)
It has much better coverage than an eyebow pencil, which I generally find too hard. It is a liquid, looking very much like a mascara. The brush is in fact a mascara brush and my only gripe is that it is a little too big for those like myself who have fine eyebrows so you have to be quite careful in appliation not to get it all over your skin. Important to have a light touch when you apply - just lightly touch the hairs, and not the skin underneath. I then use a fine mascara brush to redistribute afterwards since the wand it comes with is too clumsy.

It generally lasts all day although can rub off. If you apply too much it can cake.

My brows have turned tragically white as I get older (and older...and older...) and my trusty red Maybelline brow pencil no longer does the trick. BB Natural Brow Shaper is for me, a godsend. Most brow gels come in maybe 3 or 4 shades, all of which are too dark, too light, or just weird. This comes in many subtle shades...I use either Mahogany or Rich Brown. I should tell you that I'm not really a "brow" fanatic...they get waxed every 4 weeks, I pluck strays, and call it a day. And I don't have the time or patience for powders, pencils and waxes. Natural Brow Shaper does the trick in one quick step. It's very long-lasting, doesn't smear or smudge. I'm taking away one star because the brush holds waaay too much product. The BB makeup artist showed me how to scrape the brush down the outside of the tube's throat to remove the excess. Other than that, Bobbi Brown's Natural Brow Shaper is the perfect one-step brow tamer for me.

Slate is perfect for my medium ash blonde brows. Perfect for subtly keeping in place and filling out the outer halves. I'd always hated the look of obvious brow pencils on me; this product looks completely natural. As for the shelf life issue -- huh, I've actually been regularly using the same tube for a couple of years. Not as much product comes out anymore, but it's still sufficient for my needs.

Absolutely not worth it - my ended up in the trash. I purchased directly from the BB web-site. When I received it, it was drying out and applied clumpy like old mascara. I have full eyebrows that are blond and in need of color to better frame my face and match my natural red hair. It takes effort and patience to get your brows to look natural with this product and I did not like the look up close. I would not recommend this product.

I use Blonde for my medium blond brows and I really like how easily it applies with the mascara-like wand applicator. The shade Blonde is a cooler, slightly greyish shade, very similar to BB's eye shadow in Blonde, and it is a perfect match. I also like how the product gently holds brows in place for a natural, polished look without leaving them stiff. The only negative I noticed is the fact that, like others before me have noted, the tube dries out rather quickly, even when closing the cap tightly after each use. Overall a very nice product that has become my personal brow staple. Price is $17, I have and will continue to purchase this again and again.
EDIT Nov 08, 2011: According to information I received from BB corporate Natural Brow Shaper is going to be repackaged in winter of 2011 and will be relaunched in spring 2012.

Love it-Had issues with some other BB products but this is amazing. I cannot believe that I just found it. I used to take my eyeliner and smudge in my brows (they are brown but look better with a little extra umph) but this stuff is amazing. Again love it.

I was extremely pleased with this brow shaper... at first. I enjoyed the convenient 'mascara wand' applicator and the color that I chose (sable) was a perfect enhancement for my brows. The formula added subtle color and really held my brows in place all day. My biggest issue with this product is that it dried up on me within such a short period of time! It wasn't even a daily use product for me... it just sort of conked out! Was hoping to get more use out it for the price.

This is a great natural brow shaper. Shapes and tames brows, holds them in place for hours, all without clumping, flaking or looking stiff. I'm a dark blonde and use Sable, which is a perfect, natural match.

I was born with very thin, insignificant eyebrows. I've had to pencil them since my teens. I have since gone to powder and lately have added the xtra step of the brow shaper. I love this stuff. It's better than Chanel and MAC, neither of which seem to have the right color pigment for my hair (graying, but silver in the front). BB's gel fix is the perfect color - I use the Slate. I put the Grey powder on first, then hold it in place with the Slate brow shaper. I also like that the brush is smaller than Chanel's or MAC's, which makes it alot less cumbersome to use. This product will get used up many times over!

This is the only brow shaper that leaves my brows as I left them in the morning, whilst not turning them into a solid chunk of hair.

I use the clear formula, that I suppose could be used as a clear mascara.

The applicator is a lot nicer than other cheaper clear brow gels.

Edit: I bought a new one the other day and they changed the packaging. They also changed the applicator. It is now VERY cheap and not like the original one that had two ways of using it and was softer.

Any redheads should note: Bobbi Brown's Natural Brow Shaper in AUBURN is a MUST!! Although this is the most expensive product I have ever bought for my eyebrows (!!) - it is the best, best thing ever for delicate redheads such as myself! I love the fact that it goes on like a mascara, you can build the colour as it is so fair. MUCH more natural looking than pencils or powders; for me, anyway! Also, no gel or holding product required afterwards, this will "tame" your eyebrows without feeling too sticky all day.
UNBEATABLE!

I have this in auburn. It blends in well with my eyebrows. It doesn't have the orangey color that some do in red colors. It looks great with my auburn hair.

I am 100% a Bobbi Brown girl. I will not wear anything else. This stuff is absolutely incredible. You can put it on in the morning, and it will look exactly the same 12 hours later. It will look the same after you sleep in it. It will look the same after you go to the gym. It just DOES NOT BUDGE! And the colors are so natural. Love it! It is pretty pricy, but considering the fact that you NEVER have to do touch-ups, it lasts longer than the cheaper stuff, so I think it's a better deal :)

I love, love, love this product. I am fair skinned with dark blonde hair. I have eyebrows that are thin and light - they look almost non-existent. This is my miracle product. I have tried many other brow products before - gels, pencils, powders, all left my brows looking messy, dirty, and somewhat orange-y, never a nice natural color. The sable is the perfect color for me, it colors and grooms my brows at the same time, they consistently end up looking perfect, which is good for someone like me who is neurotic about their brows. Again, perfect product. I belive the price tag was $16 which is so well worth it for the only brow product that actually delivers.
