Love! The formula is the only shave gel I can use on my extremely sensitive skin legs. It smells like oatmeal cookie bars that my dad made growing up... comforting to me! They recently-ish changed the packaging and now the bottom of the canister never rusts in the shower and the dispenser never shoots out violently like it used to. Big thumbs up on the new packaging - that make this product perfect! Just wish it didn't cost twice as much as most shaving gels... I seem to always get it on sale though and you couldn't pay me to switch.

I picked this up on a whim at my local Jewel-Osco because my legs have been irritated from a heat rash all summer. Shaving only made the itchiness and irritation worse but I am not the type of girl that likes to skip a day of shaving my legs! A lotion I picked up recently is helping with the irritation but I needed a shaving cream that would soothe my skin while shaving too. I didn't really expect much because I've used Skintimate shave gels, Eos, etc. This really makes the shaving process very gentle, I don't feel like I'm irritating my skin and my legs feel great afterwards. Using this shave gel along with Crabtree & Evelyn's Aloe Vera lotion has really helped the itchy bumps and irritation on my legs, my legs finally look smooth and not bumpy! I also love that the nozzle is easy to control, with Skintimate, the gel would shoot out with the slightest pressure, forcing me to use more than intended.

A great shaving gel for guys (and girls, too)! I used Gillette for Sensitive Skin (blue gel) and Edge for Sensitive Skin (orange cap) for several years before trying this product. It's awesome! Gives a nice, close shave with little to no irritation. The product is labeled as "no added fragrance," which is true, but the product has a light, oaty smell that doesn't bother me since it contains a high amount of oat extracts. I bought this product when it was still being sold in the old packaging that was rust-prone, which made me adverse to repurchasing. Aveeno has since improved the packaging thus eliminating that annoyance.

My legs are extremely sensitive to shaving, and this is the only shaving cream I've found that helps keep my legs almost free from razor burn and bleeding. Unfortunately, I've run out and can't find it anywhere. I've gone to every store in my area that has shaving products, and it's nowhere to be found! Is it discontinued? Does anyone know of a good alternative? I've tried Skintimate and other similar brands and nothing measures up.

This is one of the best shave gels I have ever used and doesn't irritate my sensitive dry skin in the slightest. It has a wonderful scent, almost like almonds, and is very soothing to my skin. I pay $4.49 for this from CVS and it is worth every penny. Even SO has started to use this to shave with, and he is very picky about products.

This is the only shave gel I will use....well this and Aveeno's other gel "Positively Smooth." I love this shave gel. I have sensitive skin on my legs and traditional overly scented gives me a rash and encourages razor bumps. I have not used that kind of shave gel in YEARS. If you have a hard time using the perfumed shave gel, give this a try. It is very gentle to your skin. I would not use anything else.

Absolutely love this shaving gel and will never buy another! It's an extremely creamy rich foam, it smells divine, it does not irritate sensitive or chapped skin, and always leaves it fresh and soft, never taut even if you don't put on lotion afterwards. I don't think you can ask for much more.

I am in love with this shave gel!!! Unlike many other products a little goes along way and it lathers up very nicely!!! It has a very pleasant smell but isn't overly strong. I have always been prone to razor bumbs and red irritation splotches until trying this brand. It leaves my skin feeling extremely soft and smooth. It also gives me the closest shave ever and it may be my imagination but i think it helps increase time between shaves. I reccomend this product to everyone and will definitly not be changing to anything else anytime soon!!!

It does the job. Very moisturizing, I like that it foams easily. You don't need a lot. I don't get irritated like I used to. Smell is pleasant, not overwhelming. Bumps and red "marks" are gone:) Will definately repurchase, maybe in the Positively Smooth version.

This worked like every other shaving cream for me. I get red bumps and ingrown hairs like crazy whenever I shave (more so on my bikini area) but it still happens on my legs and its embarrasing in the summer time. It doesn't matter if I use a new razor, and old one, a different shaving cream brand everytime, lotion or no lotion afterwards, Tendskin, etc. none of it helps me. Unfortunately, I cannot shave every other day like the directions say, if I don't shave everyday then the stubble rubs again my jeans and it makes the irritation a whole lot worse. I'm trying out the redness relief version now but I probably won't repurchase this. It was around $4.

I have an inflammatory/auto immune disease that causes every little cuts on my body to turn into big, red, painful bumps. After a HUGE breakout on the backs of my legs my doctor suggested using this and boy did it make a difference. I have only a few minor bumps since I started using this shave gel. I follow with Aveeno lotion also and my legs have never felt (or looked) better!

Wow. I thought all shaving creams were the same. Boy was I wrong!
This stuff gives me knick-free perfection, leaves my legs smooth & moisturized, and helps me achieve a really close shave! I actually think that it may help my shave last longer (am I imagining things?!) This stuff is great! And I can purchase it at any drugstore, no problem. Has no scent, but that's good because it means there aren't any drying fragrance oils in it. Love this! Definite buy again :D
Dirt cheap too!

The best shave gel I've found yet. I have sensitive, pale, dry, itchy skin on my legs and while the Aveeno Daily Moisturizing lotion is fantastic for moisturizing after shaving, this stuff really helps while shaving. However, the Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Body Wash is as good or better than the shave gel! Still, stick within the Aveeno family and you can't go wrong. It's amazing to me that my legs don't sting or burn during or after shaving now!

Sweet! I've been using Skintimate for years because I didn't know other shave gels existed (Ha, I know right?) and have been getting razor bumps left and right intermittently. I haven't gotten any with this product, and I like the consistency/"foaming" factor better. Will definitely repurchase again.

I love this shave gel. I have pretty sensitive skin that drys out really easy. So far this is the only shave gel that doesn't make my already dry skin worse. My only issue is that it's sometimes hard to find, since Target stopped stocking it, plus it was always cheaper there.

Boo. I don't get what all the fuss is about. This isn't bad, it's just not great.
My skin is super sensitive. Dry and prone to razor burn and bumps. I hate shaving and I've traid various Skintimate creams/gels along with this one. They pretty much do the same thing.
I think this might be psychological, but I want this gel to be better because it's supposed to be. I think I might have fewer bumps, but the effect is just barely. My skin still gets irritated sometimes, and my legs are still covered in tiny red bumps.
Plus, its expensive compared to other stuff.
I am trying Nivea Sensitive Gel for men based on its reviews next. Hopefully, it will work. I don't think I'll buy this again.

I love this shave gel. I've been using it for years. It helps keep my skin calm when I have to do the dreaded shave. My skin is very fair, and tends to get irritated and red easily, and while this doesn't keep that from happening completely (as I don't think anything will), this does calm and soothe my skin. Razor glides right over, and I get a nice smooth surface. Great for legs, underarm, and helps with my easily irritated bikini line. I love that it's fragrance-free. Wonderful product!

My skin type: very dry, sensitive to dyes and perfume, itch easily, etc.

For a female, my leg and armpit hair grows pretty thick and fast so I am forced to shave almost every night. Prior to using Aveeno Therapeutic Shave Gel, I used other gel that were just horrible for my skin. I'd sometimes itch badly afterwards. I'd get nasty little bumps too. I never really understood why. I never thought it had to do with the shave gel. I started using this a few months ago and for the first time ever, I don't itch after shaving. My skin is left feeling VERY smooth and bump free. I absolutely can't live without this...I highly recommend this for anyone with dry, sensitive skin (and thick body hair) especially if you shave on a daily basis.

I have tried this on my bikini area too. Compared to other gels, I get very few ingrown hair and bumps.
