First of all, the applicator on this is BAD. And is what stops me using it often. Similarly to Stila lipglazes, you turn the applicator once- nothing, twice-nothing, thrice-a big glob comes out. Having said that, I still like lipglazes, but it's considerably more of a problem with a liquid eyeliner where I want precision. The glob comes out on one side of the tip, so depending on how I'm holding it, I get no product or too much product when drawing a line.
Ok, besides the applicator, the colour is a nice dark brown and staying power is normal for a liquid liner.

I hate to do this because overall I absolutely adore this product (also known as ecriture de chanel) but I just want to share with my fellow fans that this particular color did not work for me too well. For some reason, the brown is very thin in consistency resulting in an uneven line and apparent blank spots close to the water line. Its possible that I got one that is not representative of the whole (I hope thats true), but just in case someone was deciding between brown and another color, I felt I must be honest (as painful as it is to me to criticize this lovely product lol).

Not sure if I would buy this again...I like it...it's very nice and doesn't smudge...good color, but I'm mixed about the automatic eyeliner thing...I might just be a traditionalist and enjoy the whole dipping process. It's a very nice product. Very expensive, and the brush is nice, but I have to say I prefer the Urban Decay eyeliner in Smog right now. I got this one on recommendation of a salesperson at Sephora. It is good...just not something that I click with entirely.

I was skeptical about buying this since heretofore I was a devotee of Lancome's artliner. I took the plunge and am glad I did. This is a well made quality product. The eyeliner has a click mechanism which insures a constant even flow of product. The tip is very fine and price, allowing one to easily apply a fine and precise line. I use a magnifying mirror for even more precise application. It dries quickly and comes off easily at night. The shade works better for me than the Lancome brown artliner. The price is $30, but you can find it cheaper online. Buy it and have fun!

I use this and Dior Liner and I think they are comparable to each other and the same price as well- $30
The felt tip makes for an easy line and the twist applicator is good for product control.
I only like the chanel and dior liquid liners......they do not smear, do not smudge, long-wearing and good for sensitive eyes....the applicator makes it easy to control

Application: The felt tip sprayed out after a while which made so-called precision lining very difficult. It also dried out very easily on the tip which made it hard and annoying to get working.
Shade: The colour itself is ok, but I have tried many other eyeliners which have great browns. UPDATE: After trying a few other liners, the colour and texture of this proved to be quite good. The brown is actually really nice and it did offer a definitive line - which other liners lacked.
Comparison: Other (some much cheaper) eyeliners may outperform or meet the performance of this product.
Pros: Safe for sensitive eyes, does not smudge easily. Brown is a lovely colou - natural yet defining.

Another winner from Chanel. A precise tip and lovely brown color. Extremely easy to use for a liquid liner! It's nice to have an all-in-one device. Love it. Would buy again.
