this is a really lovely pale gold with peachy-pink flashes. it takes too many coats to get decent opacity out of it, so it's best used as a sheer or for layering - it's sort of close in color to OPI Megawatt??, but definitely a lot sheerer and a much deeper and varied color. i really wish it were more opaque because it would been just what i was lookng for in a pale gold - as it is...too sheer for my tastes.

I love just about any shade by Essie, and this is a great sheer gold shimmer. It has a very pearly sheen and is great for the holidays! I got this 60% off, and wear 3 coats on my toenails for more color, and one coat on my fingers for a sheer wash of gold. I'd buy again in a second, though I probably won't need to!

This warm, pale gold color is awesome when you want just a little bit of gleam and warmth. I like it a lot better than picking a pale pink by default. Oh, and I got it 60% off at Trade Secret!

I actually really like this. Amalfi is a true ivory base with intense golden shimmer; it comes off as a pure pale golden shade. Fairly sheer, but not as much as some of Essie's other shades. Truly a great gold on my light olive skin - it's not too brassy or bright, it's just right.

Sorry to be the killjoy, but this was not what I had in mind, given the reviews. "Amalfi" is a pale, yellow-y gold with a pearly finish. It looked really pretty in the bottle but on my nails (naturally kinda pinkish) and against my MMM golden-toned skin, this looked weird. This might look good on a PPP or a DDD but it just made my hand look sallow...ew. Typical sheer formula that is prone to streaking if you're not careful. Nice packaging. Kinda pricey at around 8 USD a bottle (I'd prefer smaller bottles for only a few bucks since I get bored of polish colors so quickly. But that's just me) but perhaps worth it if you like the color.

This pale gold is subtle and natural on my toes--I like it and think it would look good on everyone.

This is the color I reach for when I want a natural look with a little "oomph." My skin has warm undertones, and one coat of this polish really compliments it, giving a natural look with the slightest amount of gleam.

A nice change-up from the (to me) virtually indistinguishable parade of pale pink Essie shades.

This is a warm, shimmery, golden pearl color. Really nice if you're looking for a gold nail polish. It's good for summer or early fall or even a festive color around the holidays, but it's not too intense or OTT. It reminds me of OPI's Just Beachy from the Summer 2001 collection; Amalfi is very close to it, but maybe with just a tiny hint more gold in it. I also like it layered over Essie's Cantaloupe color, which makes it look like a melon with a golden shimmer over it. I'll definitely be wearing this in the upcoming months.
