Although this is a HG for my very oily, acne prone skin, I have to take away one lippie due to the difficulty in getting my products. The CS is great...they just seem to run out of product (grains), sometimes. Usually when I'm desperate for my next order. Very frustrating. However, this is a wonderful product! Leaves my skin so smooth and soft, just like a baby's skin. Expensive, but definitely worth it!

This feels like sandpaper on my skin! I cannot believe that this is good for you - my skin certainly didn't look better after using it! Yikes! It looked irritated and dehydrated. I found that almost 100% of Sage products were not suited for my skin type - which is dry, dehydrated (late 20's) skin with blocked pores and tendencies for breakouts. Maybe if I had oily skin....I wish that more products geared towards clearing up your skin were made for dry skinned people - we get clogged pores too! :)

Alas, I am the sole dissenter here. first, the good stuff: I love the consistency of the polyethylene beads in this scrub; it's much better than the larger beads one normally finds in scrubs. I also like the fact that the "strength" of the scrub is variable (I assume that the amount of benzoyl peroxide is what is varied). Now, for the bad stuff: Either the fragrance or the ammonium lauryl sulfate irritates my skin and leaves me with tiny pimples all over my face. I get the same reaction from the facial shampoo, so I think it's the ALS rather than the fragrance. I've avoided sodium lauryl sulfate for years because I know it causes a similar reaction and hoped that ALS wouldn't have the same problem. Until Sage switches out the ALS with something milder like cocamidopropyl betaine, I won't be able to use any of the cleansers. So I won't buy this again and in fact wasted a lot of money buying it in the first place. My skin was almost totally clear before I started using this stuff and now I have this nasty tiny pimply rash. YUCK!! :(

I have been using Sage Extra Strength Grains for over 4 years now. It is a thick grainular consistency with a sweet yang-yang fragrance (very neutral). I love this scrub and would recommend this scrub to someone who has combination skin/acne prone skin as I do. I would not recommend this strength for someone with dry skin. It has definitely improved my skin's texture, and it does not make me breakout. It is on the pricey side ($30 for 8 oz) BUT a little goes a long way and one bottle lasts me over 7 months. If it's on the pricey side of your budget, purchase the Try Me pack first (you get LOTS of their products which will last you about a month plus). Fill out a skin analysis (on their website) and then call Sage for a recommendation. They'll customize the Try Me pack for you!

This is my favorite facial scrub b/c it is gritty, but still on the gentle side. It is fragrance-free and is basically no-frills, but it does a great job at exfoliating my skin and doesn't leave my face feeling tight or raw. I think it sells for about $30 for the 8 oz bottle. IMO, that is very expensive but I usually give in and re-buy it b/c I'm so happy w/ the results.

Oh, I really like this scrub, a lot! It says Extra Strength, but still feels more gentle the some other scrubs I've tried. I *love* how it doesn't leave any greasy after feel & rinses clean. Followed by the Facial Poo it works like a charm. Although, the extra strength is rec. for oily/acne prone skin, don't try this if you have dry or sensitive skin! :)
